There are tons of these places everywhere you look, so I was excited to find out that my grandma comes here after church every sunday, and that we would be eating there!

All they serve here are sandwiches, soups, and salads.  Anything with S's...sodas and sweets too! =)

The sandwiches are very unique and fresh and with great prices.  They have pretzel sandwiches which is kinda cool.  The location I went to was very clean and service was fast for our large group of 12.

Def a fan of Isaacs.  I was in York spending some time with the future in-laws and was surprised at the quality and care found in the food preparation.  The subs were delicious.  The bread was perfectly toasted and the roast beef was warmed and quite tender.  Delicious on all accounts.   Even the complimentary pickles were tasty.  Check out Isaacs when you're looking for a decent sandwich!!  So much better than Subway or Quiznos.

I do love the Scarlet Ibis... I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. It is the only thing I have tried but it is so good.

I LOVE Isaac's! I grew up going to this casual deli chain, though the White St. location is my home base, so-to-speak... (I even had a first date there!)

If you love originality in your sandwiches, look no further than Isaac's. They have sandwiches in every shape and size on any kind of bread, including pretzel rolls, my favorite.  You can choose one of the many concoctions they have on the menu, or there is a "create your own" option on the back where you choose everything that you want to go into your personal creation.

The atmosphere is fun and light.  Their mascot is the flamingo, so you will see a lot of them! In every location I've been to (I think I've been to 5 or 6) they have a large fish tank and neon lights that help to keep the mood up.

The menu is constantly changing, but one thing remains the same... every sandwich is named after a bird!

I highly recommend the Finch sandwich, and for a twist (excuse the pun) try it on a pretzel roll!  Don't forget the soup! They have an excellent selection every day of home made soup, just like mama never had the time to make for ya.

Stick around for dessert, the fudgie wudgie is perfect for sharing.

Isaac's is perfect for a lunch with friends or a quick bite for dinner.  The price is right for every pocket!

Isaac's is one of a handful of places I miss in York. Although I had a tasty dinner tonight, I would eat several of their pretzel sandwiches right now. Their sandwiches are very innovative, and they have great, cheery waitstaff.

Isaac's also holds a special place in my heart, because it was one of a handful of places I could get really good food when I first became vegetarian, which was more obscure then than it is is now. I heart Isaacs and while I admittedly haven't looked too hard, I haven't found a satisfactory substitute for it in all my travels.

I'll just echo what everyone else said.

Plenty of York locations, always great food and friendly service.

Plus, everything has a cool birdy-name.

woot!
