Good Times!
Nice place for a drink with good company.
Love the outdoor seating and the staff is very friendly.
This was a very disappointing experience, largely due to the huge potential of this almost charming facility. The place is a wreck, which reflects the mentality of the proprietorship perfectly. On a night when there was frost on the ground, my parents arrived at the Irwin Street Inn to find that their room had no heat. "No one told you there was no heat in that building?" asked the manager, who was dealing with the problem via cell phone as there was no staff to be found. No, no one mentioned that fact and it took an hour of mind numbingly bad service to fix the problem by switching them to another room. When you add in the fraying towels, cracked epoxy on the fixtures, generally dilapidated condition of the place, and less than meticulous cleaning job it makes you want to cry for what this place could have been and most likely was once.
My girlfriends and I enjoy a drive out to Hanford and having lunch at the Irwin Street inn. Sitting on the veranda, sipping ice tea, is very idyllic. The food is ok, but the setting is even better. Go on over to Superior Dairy for dessert.
One of the very few upscale places Hanford has to offer. I've had dinner and brunch at Irwin House and both were excellent. The owners are very friendly and so is the wait staff. Atmosphere is very comfortable and sitting outside can be very nice indeed.

cute! we had an odd room that was maybe a carriage house or something and it smelled faintly of smoke and the eggs at breakfast were the worst i've ever had...BUT... well worth it for the atmosphere and prime downtown location.
Really the only place to stay in Hanford. It has a great bed and breakfast feel with antiques and claw tubs, plus it has a very good restaurant.
