I loathe this place. I honestly do not know how anyone could buy a car here if they wanted to. Before I found Sterling in Newport I was trying to get a car here, and like I said, you couldn't if you wanted to. Disorganized, high turn over, rude... its really sad to see.

Go to Sterling, in Newport. Its a better buying experience, and they have a great service department as well.

I'm surprised BMW NA allows this dealership to continue selling its cars. See here for a particularly terrible experience from a very reputable photographer:

As someone that use to work here as a receptionist, I advise people not to bring there car here for service or buy your car here. Service is always poor and the service team really doesn't like dealing with their customers. I always use to get angry clients complaining about service not picking up the phone or that they didn't get the problem fixed, etc. Also, the sales people here come and go like crazy. I am sure its like that everywhere but in a week we can have 5 sales reps start and leave. There are some decent sales representatives but most of them just want to get the most bucks they can out of you. The preowned sales guys make the largest profit while new car sales really don't have that much of a leeway on profits. So you can bargain alot more on that preowned than the new car. If you want to service your car don't go here, I am advising you its really bad and they really don't care all that much. As for the sales representatives, they come and go so often its hard to suggest which one to go to.

By far, Irvine BMW has provided me with the WORST service I've ever received at a BMW dealer. It's absolutely appalling and if you can, I'd advise that you not bring your car in here. You'll probably end up extremely frustrated and unhappy.

I could tell from the minute I met the service advisor that the service would be bad. He never introduced himself to me and then told me that I should wait for half an hour for them to figure out the problem. I waited for over 2 hours and he still hadn't come to tell me what the problem was. I went looking for him and finally got an answer out of him although it was a completely useless unhelpful answer.

They also don't give out courtesy cars unless you've bought your car from them. If you ask me, that's just stupid. Gary, my service advisor, also kept telling me that I could take the courtesy shuttle because it did both drop offs and picks ups. Well, the courtesy shuttle barely runs so using it is a huge hassle. It stops running at 3 and doesn't do pick ups until 11 or 12 in the morning. When I did use it at 7:30 in the morning for a drop off, it took them over an hour to get me to the UCI campus.

When I take my car in to the dealer, I expect to be updated on the progress of everything. I took my car home on a Monday morning and they told me they'd call me in the afternoon to update me on the part they were ordering. By Wed morning, I still hadn't heard anything. Then I finally took my car in on Thursday morning and was told I'd be called that afternoon but by 4:30, I still hadn't heard anything and needed to call them. My car is now done but I have no means of getting to it and the service advisor couldn't answer any of my questions about the problem I had with the bluetooth link. He just kept telling me to call customer relations whom I called and they couldn't answer anything either. I've told all my friends to stay away from this place and that's what I plan to do!

I only come here because it is the closest dealership to my house, and I purchased my vehicle from here so they offer the free rental car.  First of all, the vehicle I purchased had lots of electronics problem.  I was going in about once every 2 months.  I got tired of driving in everytime something went wrong so this last time, I waited about 6 months before getting everything fixed at once.  So when I brought it in, there were lots to repair and be serviced.  The service advisor we ended up with has been mentioned on yelp reviews and he was such a jerk.   When we complained about the outrageous fee for installing and balancing the tires, his response to us was "then why are you here".  We were pretty stunned by his level of customer service.    After talking with the Manager, we ended up switching to another service advisor AJ and he did a great job;  very curteous, quick, and updated us through the whole repair process.  Your service there will depend on the service advisor.  Even though I purchased my car there and it's the closest one to my house, I will never go back ever again.  I'm reading good reviews on Sterling, I'll be going there next.
