I LOVE THIS BAR!  24/7, you could smoke inside past a certain time AND the drinks are SO CHEAP!  3.50 for vodka/tonics and the third one EVERY time was free.  the bar tender knocks on the bar saying "cheers mate" and walks away.  it is a very slow bar before about 3 or 4 am but def. a great place to chill out and have a few drinks with your friends, watch the game, what have you...

The bar where they filmed The Departed in, this is a spacious two-part bar with a country/rock/celtic jukebox, a functioning kitchen just sitting there in one corner, and a pool table in the back with space to chill.
This is a bar that never sleeps; I've been here extremely late and it seems the rush for this bar comes around 3 AM anyway. Lots of older regulars come in, as well as neighborhood Irish, Irish-American, and Russian locals.
When I paid 3.50 for a pint of Guinness, I almost cried. I think its only on certain nights. They have schaeffer's and magners on tap as well. Its a good place to come for a quiet night of a couple rounds with the guys. Race shouldn't be an issue, but I've been called "boy" and been stereotyped more than once here. It doesn't bother me as much, but its something to watch out for.
