Ireland 32s is a regular local bar. Karaoke days, Sundays and Tues, are my fave days to go. Saturdays are OK as well, depending on the bands that play. The crowds tend to be along the later 20s, and everyone gets along. Just a Cool Casual place to grab a beer 'n relax.

Ireland's is a perfect Irish pub, with a perfect Irishman behind the bar...makes me feel at home! I went for a few drinks just after work (3 30pm) this past Tuesday and the place was empty aside from a few regulars. The bartender was extremely attentative and very nice, as were all the regulars in the place. A friend recommended the Irish cider they have at the bar (bottled, not on tap), and I became immediately addicted..I wish I could find the stuff at a local store but it seems Ireland's is the only place to find it!

Appetizers are half off during happy hour, which is amazing, given the already low prices. I had a basket of onion rings and a basket of fries (both awesome!), which all together only cost me about $3.50! A friend of mine ordered a burger that they call the 'mule', it's not on the menu, but if you ask for it they'll send it your way. It looked amazing...a couple onion rings, BBQ sauce and all the fixins on a HUGE burger...and my friend dug it!

I had only been to Ireland's once before, a few years ago, at more of their prime time....I believe it was on a Saturday night. There was an amazing Irish band playing awesome Irish drinking songs and the crowd was very laid back (not 'scene' types at all), just drinking and dancing and getting romantic with each other.

My only complaint (and it's not really fair to complain about this) is the fact that they lack a veggie burger on the menu. I know, I know...vegetarianism isn't very Irish, but it would be great if they had a couple of veggie patties on hand for when us freaks show up at the bar!

A great place to grab a beer and hang out with some friends.  Good seating arrangements for small groups.  Decent service and reasonable beer selection.  Food is alright for bar food, but nothing to write home about.

I've been really impressed with the two bands I've seen play here, namely the Whooligans.  They seem to avoid shitty cover bands.  Big thumbs up for that.

Stop #1 on our Wednesday adventure.

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet. Ireland 32's was always kind of like that friend that you feel like you've outgrown, yet you still keep hanging out with them.

Always loved the crowd here. The drinks are fairly reasonable. $13 for a Jameson shot and a large bottle of Newcastle. They serve food, but I don't think I ever ordered any.

Been coming here since High School (fake IDs are awesome) and it never changes. Same crowd, same drinks, same atmosphere. Definitely a cool place to come and chill for a few hours with a pint of Guinness.

I have been here a few times, the bartender does his job nicely and the people who come are very friendly and the prices are good too.
I only had some beers but they were cold and served in a timely manner.
Karaoke night is good gets a bigger turn out than other nights and they also normally have  parking in the back.
I would go back anytime for the company and the drinks

Me: "We went to this great Irish bar for drinks last Friday."
Mom: "It wasn't Ireland's 32 was it?"
Me: (laughing) "How did you know?"
Mom: "I didn't, but an old friend of mine used to take her mother there 30 years ago."

As a fan of Irish culture and food (thanks in part to my Irish-Scottish boyfriend), I ended up at Ireland's 32 with a craving for a hot corned beef sandwich. It took about 5 minutes to park and the boyfriend and I walked in through the back. It was initially a little awkward being the new kids in a crowd of regulars, but that awkwardness soon dwindled with the arrival of our drinks. The crowd was very diverse. Age ranged from 21-70 (I kid you not) and so did the attire. Some people were still in their work clothes while others were in jeans in a t-shirt and then there was this one guy decked out in a jersey, hat, wrist bands etc. of his favorite sports team.

The decor was exactly how I imagine pubs in Ireland to be and the bartender's Irish accent made the experience.

We didn't take a seat at the bar due to the fact that all the stools were already occupied, but we were able to grab a cozy table in front of the stage.

The food arrived hot and being the "cheap date" that I am, I nursed a Bass for about an hour and enjoyed myself on that drink alone the rest of the night. The waitress called us by name which was a nice surprise and a great addition to its charm.

I love huge concerts, but there is nothing like a live band in a small bar. Not too long after we arrived, "The Lads" performed some tunes true to the Irish tradition of the bar and an older couple in the booth across from us got up and began dancing. I couldn't help admiring the music and this couple.

The drinks were reasonably priced and so was the food which is definitely a plus with the urge to drink despite empty pockets. Overall, Ireland's 32 is on the top of my list for Friday nights when cash is tight.

For being in Van Nuys, CA. this place is nice. It's no Tunga Hut, but it'll do. The other Yelpers are right: this place can pour a Guinness. I enjoyed a nice variety of beers here: Smithwicks, Guinness, etc.
Sat at a table and had a good server taking care of us.

Two nights before I left for Portland I was determined to finally try Ireland's 32. While driving home from Story Salon at the Coffee Fix, my mom relented to my request It turned out that Wednesday night a live country/Honky Tonk band was playing on the small stage. The crowd was mostly middle-aged women dressed to the bible-belt nines.

It was surprisingly easy to get two stools at the end of the bar. We both ordered Harp's. For a dive bar, they sure charge a pretty penny for a pint. It was either $6 or $7. Anything more than $5/pint at a divey place, to me, seems a little absurd.

The bartender was nice. The food looked good. I definitely liked the place more than the Robin Hood. Would I wait four hours at St. Patty's to get in? Hell no. Would I meet up with a friend for a drink here if it was convenient for both of us? Uh, well, I don't see what not.

Perfect watering hole, nice pub feel, genuine Irishmen behind the bar, and a BBQ Bacon Burger to knock your socks off.  I love having a pint here with some onion rings and when I feel like having my ear drums blown out I pop in on a Wednesday to listen to the Mules (nice to find some hill billy rock in LA).  Another plus is they have Irish Mist behind the bar.  The sweet, sweet taste of intoxication.

**UPDATE 06/08: Decided to stop by after our BBQ meal for a cocktail -- did I forget that call drinks were 5 dollars??? What?? How could one forget that price in a land of 10 dollar drinks??? I also saw someone order a few beers and at least 10 shots, all came up to $72.00.  So I said to self :
"Self, it seems I may have to frequent my local a bit more now that money's getting tight which curiously is driving me to drink more..."
My friendly neighborhood bar -- you are bumped from 3 to 5 stars, well done! ***

A dive bar that I can walk to and stumble home from but so far I have only been twice:

1. On a Friday night (when I took too many tequila shots and don't remember leaving) -- it was busy, there was a live band and lots of locals.  No need to dress up or posture here, just have a couple of drinks and hang out.

2. On a Sunday afternoon - drastically different. Quiet, few people in the bar, but the barkeep was super cool and I do believe authentically Irish (if not, a darn good imitation)

Hmmmm....seems like this needs some more investigation -- mini pub crawl anyone?????  (Ireland's 32+English pub the next block over  -- we can make it an International mini-pub crawl!!!)

Great neighborhood pub that serves Guinness, so all is well.

Sorry to hear they don't serve lunch.

Casual vibe and cool place for drinks but not the best dinner service.

I do appreciate the Celtic music being played in the background.

Good local bar.  Looks much better and cleaner inside than outside. Don't expect great food, though they do have a small menu.  If you're looking for good fish and chips, go to Robin Hood across the street.

I'm really sad to write this...but as Tom Wolfe said, "You can't go home again."

Ireland's 32 was a sentimental favorite of mine for a very long time.  It's kind of like the old boyfriend you still are "friends" with, even after you've broken up for good reasons.

I first took my Scottish-Irish grandmother there, in 1980, for her 75th birthday.  The establishment was much larger then, and had a full dinner menu, a band that played decent Irish music, and a large dance floor.  My family and I dined in a cozy booth on a corned beef and cabbage dinner, and when the band got going, the bartender wanted to dance with my grandma.  She got uncharacteristically embarrassed, and declined.  When she fell and broke her hip several months later, the first thing she said was, "Damn!  I wish I'd danced with that young man!"

For several years after that, I went to Ireland's 32 frequently with a coworker for dancing, drinking, and flirtations.  Then I got married and had my son, so this place fell from my list of priorities.  Still, I would get nostalgic when I would drive by.....

Tonight, I was there to meet some associates, and got a sad dose of reality.  Gone was the attentive, cheery server.   Glasses, used napkins, and remnants of meals were left sitting a very long time on adjacent tables.  When my chicken tenders were a long time coming, the bartender asked ME, the customer, to go back into the kitchen, to "tell them what you want."  When I made a face, the bartender said he'd do it. I didn't get a bill, and when the kitchen staff brought one to me a half hour later, it was for another table.

Overall, it was a rather disappointing experience, seen through the wistful perspective of how Ireland's 32 once was.

Sometimes, I guess, you can't recapture an old love....sigh....

If you want a good pub experience, take a drive up the valley and duck into Ireland's 32. They have some wonderful bands such as Sligo Rags and yours truly onstage during karaoke. Such a great atmosphere, all the pub without the brawlin' lads and potato peelin' lassies. A great Friday night getaway, with a varied range of ages. As soon as you walk in the door here, the Guinness is pouring thick, and the laughter's aplenty. I hope you can handle a bit of a crowd and some standing, as the place being so fun fills up in a quick minute on a good night. So raise your glasses and drink up.

I can't believe I'm giving this place a 4-star.  But I have good reason:

1.  It's literally 5 minutes driving distance from my place.
2.  I can wear my jammies (baggy jogging pants) and get in.
3.  They have live band (that I usually hate) but because this place is local and I'll run into NO ONE I know in my usual world, I can dance like a crazy acid-tripping woman, and no one cares.
4.  It's kinda nice and cozy, and as long as you are boozing, you'll meet great people...
5.  I've been to several Irish pubs in LA, and this one isn't too shabby in comparison, but then again, I'm biased cuz its 5 minutes from my place.

Disclaimer:  If you ever recognize me, only say "hello" if you can stoop to my level by acting like a moron, or at least a convincing imbecille.

Four of us (two couples) went to Ireland's 32 after dinner on Valentine's Day.  The two guys had been there, separately, many times over the years.  However, none of us had been there for quite a long time and had no idea what to expect.  We had a blast!!!  The band (The Screamin Cocktail Hour) was great.  There was a large, diverse, very friendly crowd, with everybody from hotties in their early 20's to older couples -- but everybody was dancing and there was no attitude.  They have a great selection of draft beers, fish & chips, and other pub food.  The service is very attentive and friendly.  Highly recommended!

I like this place.
A cool crowd that doesn't care about looking silly dancing around to live Irish music.
The crowd is mature and relaxed.
No pressure and down to earth.
Plus I like speaking in an Irish accent
(totally just did in my head as I wrote that.)

A great dive bar.  Never too crouded or hip.  I've only been on the karaoke nights but they're tons of fun whether or not you like to get up and sing.  The croud there is really cool and friendly and the bar staff is quick and, well, Irish.  There is a pretty good selection as far as karaoke songs go and the croud is pretty good at cheering you on.  They also give away free cigarettes if you give them your ID and email address if you're into that sort of thing.

My only complaints is that they don't have many beers on tap and the bouncer is bored most of the time and tends to go looking for trouble.

This place has been my "second home" on the weekends ever since I moved to the Valley. It's definitely a dive and a ways away from any hipster scene you've run into... Which is why I love it... The bartenders and bouncers are friendly to both their regulars and new comers. It seems that during the summer/spring months, Saturday brings in the younger crowd and Friday does the same come the winter months. They usually have some amazing Irish folk bands at least twice a month.

Drink prices aren't terrible at all, and the food is pretty decent as well. Try the fish and chips.

As for drink recommendations, you can't go wrong with either a Guiness, or Smithwicks. My current favorite for the past couple months has been the Strongbow cider. Great stuff.

If you happen to wander on in one weekend night, look for the two tallest guys there... Ask us if we are brothers, we'll lie and say yes.

I love Ireland's 32!  Friendly service, not expensive, decent pub grub.  Don't go with high expectations and you will enjoy yourself!  Especially if there's live music!  I try to see Sean Wiggins there on Thursdays and Saturdays as often as possible.  The Irish music is fun, too.  Great neighborhood place, I drive down from Santa Clarita.

So rather than go to our usual thursday night bar, my buddy invited me here to watch the bands play some music. Let's start off with the fact that all draft beers are $6.50, no that's not a typo, I think I've only paid that much for a beer once before in my life, and it was at a high end club, NOT a dive bar. Also, this place has different pricing, especially for regulars. My buddy got a bloody mary (which was on special for the night) for $5 and then an hour later, they charged him $7 for it (and no, both times were after happy hour). The service isn't that great either, we waited at the bar on a number of occasions while the bartenders were busy talking to people. On the bright side, the music was good, and the crowd was mostly mellow and seemed fairly chill. A few of them were quite bothersome, like the guy at the bar who introduced himself to me everytime I came up to get a drink, or the guy who kept doing lines of white powder (i'm not jumping to conclusions) off one of the tables...  It seemed like a very local place, so I can see the people who live around the corner and come here on a regular place liking it... but for everyone else, don't waste your time or your money.

I like Irish people.  The ones I've met have been literate, funny, soulful, complicated, and self-effacing (in my opinion a very endearing quality, especially in a man).  They also have killer accents.  They can say "pass the ketchup" and it sounds like music to me.

So,..I loved Ireland's 32.  Picture this: you arrive in blinding Valley daylight to a dark, packed pub...at 5:30 pm.  Conversation, which was at a roar, stops for a microsecond as the regulars check you out.  Then it resumes.  First thing that strikes me: Toto, we're not in West Hollywood anymore.  This is where the normal, fun, interesting-not-plastic people go!  And they say hi!  And they smile!  And there's a kickass country western band (29 Mules) having a grand old time on stage.  Best of all, it's Tom McCarthy's birthday and everybody gets to share the food.  Who is Tom McCarthy?  I'd never set eyes on him before, but hey, he was turning 50 and boy did he have a lot of friends, a motley assortment of ages, races, genders, etc.
We were there for a friend's going away party (Erin! we're gonna miss you!) but were included in the Tom McCarthy festivities as if we were old friends.  I got to revel in those beautiful accents, talk about Dublin and James Joyce, and drink shots of Scotch with some very cute men. Erin Go Bragh!  And I'm definitely going back for karaoke night...

I like this place. They pour a great pint of Guinness. This is more of a locals spot and perfect for those that don't want to bother with the hip crowd. They have a small stage in which they have live bands scheduled each week. They offer food too if you're hungry. Parking at rear but you can find parking on the street.  If you want, you can also head over to Robin Hood English Pub just a block east. That place is cool too.

Pretty weak.  The place is ok.  I could walk to it in 5 minutes from my place.  I've been there a handfull of times.  Never saw anything too great.  Drinks are way overpriced...that's the main reason I rated it so low.  Not worth the effort, this coming from a person who could walk and not even have to drive.  Never had the food.  The times I've been there, there have been almost no good looking girls and most of the people I talked to were pretty boring.  They have a good selection of beer, but it's overpriced like I said.  They do have a comedy open mic night, but it's notorious around town in the comic circles as sucking really bad.  Check it out if you want, but it's nothing special.
