What a mess! Many Halloween costumes were on the floor and out of the package box. Stuff was thrown everywhere. I did step on a few items, not by choice, but just because it was impossible to avoid doing so. BUT, it was Halloween night, so understandably the place was crowded and messy. It's the same as a clothing store during Christmas season, it's impossible to keep it neat.
The selection, or whatever was left of it, was average. They only had a few isles dedicated to Halloween stuff. This was somewhat dissappointing since I was expecting a large store with tons of options.
And, when I checked out, the clerk did not give me a receipt and was reluctant to give me shopping bags (she said the items were too big to fit). I can only explain her lack of good customer service by arguing that she must have had a long exhausting day! Poor girl!
If you're wondering why I gave this place an OK, then here's the answer: I managed to put together a nice costume that night. Somehow I got lucky by finding one piece on the floor, another at the other end of the store, and yet another buried under large piles of costumes. So IParty worked for me that night!

I don't host parties, since I live in the wilds of Medford and no one wants to brave the Orange Line to come party with me. Le sigh. Anyway, that doesn't mean I can't go to iParty every once in a while to pick up some quirky weird thing. Halloween is really the best time for iParty; yes, it's a clusterfuck, but they have a HUGE selection of decorations and costumes. Need ruby slippers or a cat o' nine tails for that costume (or for, um, "dress-up")? This is the place to go. I found a cute little New Year's tiara for about 80 cents the other day. They also have a buttload of candy and neat little serving supplies. Despite the fact that it's always bustling when I go in there, iParty is pretty awesome.

Iparty is your one stop shop for all your party needs but it could be your last stop for the horrible customer service in town history. On a Friday night about an hour of store closing I rushed to make a last minute return because the receipt expired that day. There were about $160 worth of new unused merchadise needed to return. I purchased and charged it on my credit card at a different Iparty location. I gave the cashier my receipt and told her my credit card were reported lost and I don't have the card to give her to credit onto my CC. The cashier told her supervisor/manager (Rita) on duty. She walk up to me and didn't even bother to look at my receipt. She said "We don't carry these items. We can't process your return."  I promplty show her my receipt these merchandise were purchase at a different Iparty location.  Because I don't have my lost credit card in hand she told me she's unable to process the return. She also said "THIS COULD BE ANYONE!" Recalling this receipt could be anyone. I'm assuming she's accusing me the merchandise I have are stolen and the receipt as well?!?!. The supervisor went to the back to talk to someone and 5 mins later. She said "We can't process your return without your Credit Card and it's the store policy." I ask her not even store credit? She said "NO!" She told me to drive to the store where I purchsase and try which is 40 mins away and store will be closed by the time I get there. I got home the same day and called the Iparty location where I made the purchase and they are more than happy to honor store credit with no questions ask. This supervisor has a very fresh mouth, unprofessional, unknowledgable, poor customer communication skills, and unable to solve small problems. The bottom line is she  treat customer like crap. "THIS COULD BE ANYONE!" I still want to know want you really meant Rita.
