A friend said this place was a bit dated and cheesy but still a classic tourist place to visit.
Glad we went for the 1 crazy room of animals... You'll know it when you see it. Your mouth will just drop open.
The rest is a quick walk thru and we were in and out within 45 minutes.

A good wildlife museum, with lots of stuffed specimens on display. Sometimes there is so much, it is hard to take it in all at once.

Nice selection of wildlife. Bass Pro Shop has nothing on this place! Prices were reasonable to get in. The museum also has a cafe and nice seatting area. Looks like they also will do childrens birthday's there. The room with all the deer, bears, moose head was amazing!

This place brought on some mixed feelings for me. For starters, I'd like to point out that in no way am I a "PETA" type guy, animal lover, or freaky liberal extremist. That being said, while admiring the collection of "stuffed, real animals," it dawns on you that some Dude shot and killed all these animals. So while its fascinating to see all of these creatures, it also makes you think that someone had to kill all these animals, and that is a little sad.

Again with the scavenger hunt thing . . . . .

This is another of the participating museums. We took the kiddies and again, they really enjoyed it. This place isn't like the desert museum where there's live animals but definitely worth checking out. The annual family pass is $40, but I doubt we'd be going there enough to make it worth it.
Seeing all the different displays and dioramas was a good way to spend an afternoon. I'm not saying that this is the best museum I've ever been to but again, it's at least worth giving it a try.
