Visiting this museum was one of the highlights of my recent trip to Lincoln. Everyone at the museum was very knowledgeable and friendly. Our tour guide was excellent and really knew her stuff.
The guided tour of the "Quilts in Common" exhibit lasted nearly an hour, and I spent another hour going back through the gallery and looking at each quilt in more detail. I think I spent twenty minutes just in front of the Reconciliation quilt, and could probably have spent longer. I felt like the number of quilts on display was just right--it's rare to be able to go to a museum and feel like you were able to see everything you want to see without "skimming" through exhibits.
I also really enjoyed the demonstration tables that were set up outside the gallery--they were demonstrating the log cabin quilt pattern, and various appliqué techniques.
For the icing on the cake, the gift shop is excellent.. I couldn't bring myself to leave without a yard and a half of fabric and the exhibit book....
Completely underwhelming. The international quilts from Korea were beautiful and the eco-quilts were thought-provoking, but we all left feeling dissatisfied. The building was very modern, with high ceilings and a circular grand staircase, but it was mostly vast emptiness that left us all feeling like we missed the point.

Costs 5 bucks to get in to see about 30 quilts out of a collection of 2500 quilts. I was underwhelmed. It appears they were overly concerned with the building architecture, and added the gallery as an afterthought.
