All you want to do is eat pancakes and eggs and Kerbey Lane and Magnolia have waits of over an hour - why is eating breakfast in Austin so difficult on the weekend! Well, you won't have this problem with IHOP off of Mopac - it's clean, it's much faster and it's pretty tasty. I always go with the Harvest Nut n Grain combo; eggs, pancakes, hashbrowns, meat (or sub fruit) - it hits all the major things that make a breakfast. And it's cheap.

Ahh yeah, the lesser known IHOP. Let all the suckas wait 20 minutes for a table at the I-35 IHOP on a saturday night. I'll be here where tables are a-plenty and the service is snappy and they'll tolerate me and my sloppy friends.
+1 star for the hot mic in the front next to the hostess station. Have to wait for a table? See how fast you're seated once you start freestyling on that microphone.
+1 star for the signed picture of IHOP founder with coffee cup above the entrance.
+1 star for the 'rowdy room' behind the glass wall where they'll seat your group if they've sized you up as being a nuisance to fellow twilight diners.
+1 star for Balto, the best IHOP server this side of the Atlantic. YOU THE MAN.
