Central to most LA destinations, nice hotel!

Parking: Pricey, but even the $35/day is not bad with in and out privileges. I've seen other chains charge every time you move your car.

Atmosphere: Clean, efficient business-class hotel with nice perks such as a spa and sushi bar adjacent to the lobby. Winding halls remind me of The Shining where Danny rides his Big Wheel through the vacant corridors. Fortunately, there's no haunted Room 237! At least not that I'm aware of...

Service: Friendly and accommodating. Free car to locations within a mile of the hotel. Ride in a limo to Rodeo Drive and shop like Pretty Woman! Valets retrieve your ride with the quickness!

Accommodations: Clean and simple rooms. Plenty of seating/workspace.  Bed was comfortable, but mine was missing a top sheet. Just crank the AC way low, problem solved! The bathroom was tiled in red marble, and while marble is beautiful, it was showing its age with small, missing pieces which most had been repaired. A nice touch was the separate shower and bath.  One area of concern was the bathtub's valve recess had a small 1/4" hole behind the cold water valve. A potential hiding place for mold. These minor details are holding this review back from becoming 5-stars. A great place to stay nonetheless!

I think it's between a four to 4.5 stars hotel.  It didn't have the "grand" factor but this is first and foremost a business hotel.

My husband and I both thought the service was great here, very refreshing.  He stays at hotels every month and he felt the staff was very friendly here compared to some of the others he's been at recently. The food was quite phenomenal, so much so that after our first breakfast, we had two more lunches and two more breakfasts.  You really must try the brioche French toast, or the smoked salmon pizza.

The pool is small but the view from the lounger is nice.  There are also mini loungers for little guys.

The guests were mostly business folks.  We were the only family with a baby so he got all the attention.  They had a crib with clean sheets waiting and some baby products.

Nice flat screen TVs in the room and living room.

Some things we didn't like:

-the balcony outside our bedroom was our neighbor's!  We were walking around our room half-dressed when we saw our neighbor standing on the balcony taking in the city skyline at night.  We had our sheer drape closed, but that was freaky.  Their balcony extended to outside our bedroom, there was no divider.

-the shower door isn't cleaned underneath

-the store is unavailable at this time

We would return!

Again, $70.00 for 2 nights overnight parking makes me want to throw-up (I thought this only happened in Downtown LA...)

But if you can get past that here are some great things about the INTERCONTINENTAL...
-Service: Efficient, friendly, quick
-Rooms: Comfortable bed (though this ain't no Sheraton Heavenly bed), great TV's (service not so great), great layout (bedroom, "living room", restroom), huge windows lending to a great view of beautiful Los Angeles!, Balconies!!!
-Location: 15 minutes walking from the Century City Shopping Center which is awesome and ample with stores and restaurants; Taxis await you outside the hotel if you're lazy

Wish I had tried the restaurant because the menu looked DELICIOUS...

Beautifully maintained hotel with large, luxurious rooms and great beds. I slept like a baby.

One star off for two reasons: the location is somewhat meh, and I'm annoyed that nowhere in the hotel do they offer free wifi. If you're going to charge for wifi in the room, fine. But why irritate guests by not even offering wifi in the lobby, as I've seen at other InterContinentals? I think my annoyance cost them a lot more than the $12.95 they wanted for 24 hour access. And the $12.95 is such a rip-off that I refused to buy it even though it was my employer that would've paid the fee and not me.

I felt rich.

Course, that lasted until I went through all the shwag I couldn't afford, which included an "intimacy" kit.  Containing two condoms, wipes, and lube.  I thought, sweet, if I get lucky, I don't have to find a 7/11.

Then I realized, this is a place where dudes might be able to get lucky.  I'm not one of those dudes.  Which indirectly led to an increase in shots consumed, and the inadvertent bottle of soju.  Which directly caused the monster headache at 5 AM.  But thanks to the plush bed, dissipated to tolerance, without medication, pretty amazing.

A very nice hotel for our needs:  A short weekend stay with all amenities and service.

The lobby is beautiful, although not as grand as some other hotels in the area.  Staff are trained to provide first class service:  friendly, professional, and responsive.  Check-in was a breeze, and our room has a great view of LA.  Nice spacious bathroom with separate shower and tub.  Decent water pressure!

The fitness center is well equipped, but the pool was rather small and boring on the second level roof top...  If hanging out at the pool is a priority for you, then this hotel would not be a good choice.

Room Service food was very good and quick to arrive.  Well...except they gave us 2 banana nut muffins instead of 1 banana nut and 1 blue berry muffin like we ordered...haha...( just had to throw in a spoiled rotten moment).

Being smaller than the nearby Hyatt Regency Century City, this hotel offers a more cozy, intimate, yet classy feel.  I have found my stays at every Intercontinental hotels to be consistent and predictable.  I would definitely stay here again for our future LA get-aways.

very deceptive!

when you book it, it seems like a really good deal...but then you get there and find out that they charge $32/night for mandatory valet (not including tips) and $13/night for internet. they could easily just charge everyone a little more per night and offer those services as 'free.' i would've been a lot happier...

Ok, know that I am biased here because I paid $105 a night on priceline, had I paid the rack rate of $250++ I think we may have seen a slight star reduction. Its a very pretty hotel...the lobby smells good...the rooms are clean and generic but have nice balconies...we had some issues with the valet never bringing our car, but they were quickly sorted out, and one day our room was never cleaned....but all in all decent, but I would not reccomend it at its full price...

nice rooms. excellent service. great room service.
i didn't care much for the location, kind of off the beaten path. probably a great place to stay for a business trip, less for a vacation. the only thing i didn't really like was when a friend came by to meet us and had to pay something like $20 to park for 30 minutes. i don't get this trend in LA to charge an arm and a leg for parking. very annoying.

I had my wedding here in May 2007.  Formerly the Park Hyatt, the InterContinental is a hidden gem in the heart of Century City that had the elegant, contemporary look I was going for.   I just LOVE the decor of this place.  The floral arrangements are always beautiful!  It has a nice courtyard and bar area that we used for the cocktail hour.  We also liked that the property was small, intimate and only booked one private event at a time.  Since the change of ownership, I believe the service has actually improved.

Arthur Sands, the Catering Manager, took over in the midst of our planning.  He seemed difficult and slightly rude at first, but in the end he delivered and everything went off without a hitch.  My only complaint was that he wouldn't allow my coordinator to light the tealight candles hanging off the branches of our centerpieces.

At the end of the night, they hooked us up with an awesome suite.  It was a great way to end our wedding day and it had a balcony with an amazing view of the city!

When we checked out the next morning, our luggage and other belongings were taken care of right away.  A+ service all the way.

My husband and I came back to the hotel and had our anniversary dinner there, also arranged by Arthur Sands.  Food is excellent.

This is where I was put up by FOX for a press junket for American Idol. As soon as I checked in I new I was going to love my short 3 day stay.

The American Idol contestants were staying in the same hotel, so if it was good enough for the most popular kids getting their 15 minutes of fame I knew it would be just fine for me!

The room was fantastic, large with a view over the FOX studio lot. The bathroom was huge and was equiped with one of the best hair dryers I have ever used in my life.  The mini bar had everything you never even knew you wanted.

The day I had to go home I was SO HUNGOVER from drinking to many Sour Simons and Paulas Paradise punch that I accidentally left my wallet in my room. One of the hotel employees helped me tear apart the room, she found my wallet and I made my flight back to SF.  That is service!

The room service menu left a little something to be desired, but dont think it stopped me from ordering a burger and french onion soup.

Wow this hotel is awesome! I don't care how much it cost because my company's paying for it!

Extra tip? You got it cause my company's paying for it.

Drinks? For everyone in the room? Hell yeah put it on my corporate card cause my company's paying for it!

Need a room? Uh well ok I can't hook a cute guy like you up but I'm sure I don't mind sharing my king size bed with you ;)

I hate corporate events but this place was so accommodating to us. I had some dude dressed as the mad hatter park my car, then someone escorted my luggage to my room. Then I jumped on my king size bed. I didn't jump back because I sank in it. Now THATS a bed! And a mini fridge to put my beer-uh soda in.

Got down to the pool and lounged for a bit. Plenty of cute pool side people, well aside from the pasty white guy who really needs to put his shirt back on and lose about 400 pounds. Now where is that cute cabana boy with my drink?

I stumble back through the lobby and down a few flights of stairs and to my surprise the Hyatt staff has helped set up our booth complete with a mini fridge. Hell yeah.

Now back to the room for some room service ;)

The InterContinental Los Angeles has the most amazing views from the rooms which overlook the FOX lot, excellent service (delivered a power-cord to me when I left mine at home), well appointed rooms - I especially love that they have showers separated from the bathtubs and if you work for FOX/FIM/MySpace/News Corp it's sorta like camp since you'll end up meeting a co-worker or two from one of the other properties while staying there... but unfortunately I ate at The Park Grill - http://www.yelp.com/bi..., thus only 4stars.

I stayed in a suite in the hotel.  Very nice.  The bathrooms are large and the bed is first rate.  The staff was very friendly and the room was well worth it.  If you want to feel 5 stars then get the suite here cause you will think it is money well spent.

Best hotel room I have stayed in the LA area.

having entered motherhood, I can no longer stay at the crazy expensive places like four seasons, peninsula etc.

this place was VERY accommodating to baby-dom!  gave me crib, microwave, refrigerator. all at NO extra cost.

crib came with J/J shampoo, j/j baby lotion, baby wipes, 2 blankets. cute bumper.

bathtub was deep enough, though not super deep. room had balcony butpoor view.

free NYT or LA times in AM. late checkout if possible.

the BEST price/value.  $200/night versus $400 for the four seasons, etc.

i will be staying here for all my future LA trips, unless I can beat their price at the four seasons etc (unlikely!)

visited my friend who booked a penthouse level suite not too long ago. the suite itself was very nice with 2 balconies, a kitchenette, king sized bed, 2 baths, and a lounge and dining area. clean and spacious rooms had nice city views at night. i was a bit put off by the lack of flat panel televisions and the poor static-y signals on the tvs. i figure if somebody's dropping in excess of a grand per night they should upgrade the monitors.

another irksome feature of the hotel is that guests have to pay for parking. that's $20 every time you exit the hotel in your automobile.

Excellent hotel. Gorgeous rooms, great views, excellent location for the Hollywood-West Hollywood-Beverly Hills trip, FANTASTIC service, super quick check in/out, so accommodating and has the best late-check-out time I've ever experienced. The beds are huge, the bathrooms gorgeous, Next time I'm in LA I'm staying here. For even longer - just because I didn't get enough of it the first time. I genuinely LOVED this hotel.

I'm not really sure how many stars this place claims to be but it was very nice. Highlights included the bed. Lowlights included having to pay for every little thing and the bad shower pressure. It's come to the point in time where you think wi-fi would be free and the Valet only policy was a little presumptuous. I don't really care that it was $30 per 24 hours to park my car but valet often takes longer than it would take me to walk and get my car myself.

I was there Valentine's Day weekend with the girlfriend and we splurged for the couples massage. With tip it ended up being $300. I'm ok with that. It's Beverly Hills/LA and all. The girl probably enjoyed hers more but I've had more experience with massages in general.

Like everyone else said, there isn't much around so bring a car. We only stayed one night but it was close to much of the fun Hollywood area, just not walkable.

I got a sweet deal so I'd highly recommend it. I believe list price is $250-$400.... I don't know if it's worth that much due to the lack of proximity to attractions but it was certainly a nice place.

$120 a night. Free sauna & steam room (I didn't even know the difference before my visit) Pool & cabanas are decent but no bar or view. Walking distance to the Century City mall (Positive or negative depending on your shopping preference) Chauffer drives you around BH in a Mercedes 2006 S430 which was kinda disapointing, I prefer Maybachs or else those old station wagons with wood paneling and reverse rear seats circa "National Lampoons Vacation". Concierge is extremely helpful (shout out to Anita for the last minute restaurant reservations) Bellmen are prompt and even offer to help you restock the minifridge with all the booze you can pick up at Gelson's down the street. The place also has a balcony which comes in handy when you get a drunken booty call from your psycho ex-girlfriend at 5:30am and you don't want to disturb your company while they sleep. This has got to be the most detailed review I've ever wrote, I hope someone actually reads it so I don't feel like I just wasted the last 7 minutes of my life.

Awesome hotel! Not only did we get a room w/ a balcony with a view of LA, but our room had a jacuzzi AND shower, and an extra lounge area with an office section... The bed is FANTABULOUS....you'll sleep like a baby. Valet is wonderful but PRICEY ($30 a freakin' NIGHT!!!!) I'd book again at this hotel!
