Wonderful venue for concerts :) I saw Old 97's on New Year Eve and wow! The staff was friendly the price was right and most of all the acoustics were great. I took the Blue line there and 1/4 mile walk your there. The hotel was beautiful and I heard nothing but good things about people staying there saying how nice their rooms were. A+

This was a very sleek and chic hotel to spend NYE at.
Our room was larger and trendier than I expected (weird bear thing art...).
There were design ideas I wanted to steal for my own home.
There was even a rainfall style shower (overrated).
My only issues were small ones.
1 - $22 for overnight parking
2 - having HD tvs in the room is nice but not having HD channels is not. Sort of defeats the purpose
3 - It's almost trying too hard to be hip
4 - You have to pay for Wi-Fi
If I ever decide to do a NYE event at a hotel again, I'd seriously consider this one. It's new, it's nice and it felt cool to stay at. -
Review from Sarah S.
I went to a wedding here last weekend and then stayed in a room that night.
The wedding hall was beautiful, the cocktail area was also very nice, as was the hall in which the reception was held! Everything about the venue was just fantastic for a wedding!
The room we had was pretty awesome! Beds were comfy, nice couch seating area, big spacious bathroom. Everything about it was great!
A couple downfalls of this location are the location itself. Right next to the airport means a lot of traffic, ugh. And it's not the surrounded by the most beautiful landscape. The worst part of this hotel is $22 parking!!! What in the heck. Their garage should be free for hotel guests staying the night. If people attending the wedding got the validated ticket, it allowed them to have free parking following the reception. However, if you stayed overnight, $22! Madness. -

LOVE the rainfall shower!!
Okay, so I love me some rainfall showers, and InterContinental is the only hotel that I've stayed in that is smart enough to place the shower head controls on the opposite side of the shower head. Do you know how annoying it is to try to ninja your way around the cold water when you turn on your shower? Very!!
The shuttle will drop you off to Giordano's if you'd like... which is a mile away. How awesome is that? I'm not sure how far they will take you beyond their normal bus station and airport, though. The one thing that prevents me from giving this place 5 stars is the crazy mess in the morning when you're waiting for the shuttle. If you're leaving at 5:30am, go early to wait in line! The staff does let you know at check-in to come down early for the shuttle since it gets crowded. I wish they would just have extra shuttles during their peak hours. Once, the shuttle driver scolded us for not letting him know which airline we were with since he should have loaded our bags last as we were the last stop.
The breakfast is awesome here. Get it and get the OJ!
Although it takes a while to get downtown via the closest bus/train stop, it's totally worth the price to spend a little extra time traveling. -

New York, NY
Very nice hotel, everything was very clean & modern. Hotel staff were very nice.
Location wasn't bad as it's a shuttle ride away from both the airport & the L train's Rosemont station on the Blue line (hotel shuttle to both is free & runs about every 20 mins). It's about a 45 min ride from that station to the city & the train seems to run pretty frequently (every 5-10 mins). NOTE: If stuck @train station & no shuttle is in sight, there are a bunch of cabs available @the station (it's about $7-8 in a metered cab).
They have some pricier eateries (Capital Grill & McCormick's & Schmick's) right outside the hotel. But there are also a few (cheaper) eateries within walking distance (Italian restaurant, Denny's).
I didn't get to check out the Ice bar, so am not sure how it is. Assuming it's an average hotel bar.
Lobby shop is a typical hotel lobby shop, somewhat overpriced for a few things you need asap. Also, wasn't happy about paying $3 for a small coffee & it tasted horrible.
Rooms were very nice. The safe is in a drawer by the closet. NOTE: If looking for coffee machine, they have a Keurig machine w/a tray of what you need, hidden/tucked away in a cabinet next to the mini-bar.
Sucky things:
- They charge for both WiFi AND the business center computers ($12.95, per every 24 hrs). Grrrr!!
- No locks on the bathroom door. My boyfriend likes to play jokes on me & kept opening the door on me when I was peeing! :-}
- Showers had partial door that intentionally doesn't close. I like steamy showers & felt kind of cold when not under the water because of the open space.
- Check-in was slow. They only had like 1 guy at the front desk & all the other computers were down. But they were very nice about apologizing for the delays. -

Beachwood, OH
Great service from check in to check out. Room was modern, clean & comfortable. Everything worked as it should. Yay! I had a light dinner & glass of wine at The Ice Bar. Great portobello sandwich & very hospitable, helpful woman tending bar. Breakfast was perfect (though typically pricey). My sever(Asma) was friendly but not overbearing. You know how that can be! I would definitely stay here again. Also, I got this place through Hotwire so the price was right.

Review from Patty L.
Beautiful hotel, with complimentary shuttle to O'Hare airport. From the moment you step onto the shuttle you know you're in for a treat - the comfy seats, the fridge with complimentary bottles of water, and a friendly driver who provides tips on how to get downtown and how to get about the area.
The check-in staff were so friendly and courteous and beyond helpful! The lobby has an interesting array of modern art. There is a business center so you can print of your boarding passes, but internet browsing is at a cost of $4.95 for $15 mins. There is wifi access - I was given a corporate password so I don't know what the pricing is.
My room was so lovely - a relaxing taupe-grey and light-wood color scheme throughout the room made me feel at ease. I had a king sized bed with 5 pillows on it! The reading lights above the bed were neat, but the light switches were a bit awkward to access when sitting in bed. There was a nice sofa to lounge on. There were a couple of plush bathrobes in the closet, and the safe is cleverly hidden into a drawer! I liked the brass birds on the coat rack - it softened up the modern decor of the room.
The bathroom is spacious and modern and features Elemis amenities. The walk-in glass shower features a rain shower (but no bathtub). The sink was a bit finnicky - I had to be careful not to turn it on too much or water would splash everywhere. The halogen potlights in the bathroom ceiling are dangerously deceptive for ladies doing their makeup!
My only complaint is that noise from hall carries too easily into the room, but other than that this hotel was amazing. I had a great sleep and a wonderful stay. -

New Berlin, WI
We've spent several nights here in the past couple months. The first time we were honestly just looking for an inexpensive one night stay in the Rosemont area, as we had a couple different events in Illinois, and just didn't want to drive back home in between. I noticed an incredible rate of $95 for the InterContinental on a Sunday night. Well, why the heck would we stay at the Holiday Inn or Best Western, when they were around the same price?
Our first experience is always with Valet...where can we safely have our car parked? They were very accommodating. The check-in process has been pleasant and hassle-free. The bellmen have been very helpful with getting our things to the room, and extremely courteous. I can't say enough about the staff. They are quite pleasant and go above and beyond to help us. This past stay we also asked if they knew of a driver for us, so that we could enjoy a ride (and imbibing) downtown, in our own car. They called one of their valet guys that was off-duty, and I have to say he was the perfect guy for the job.
The rooms are lovely. Very modern and chic. Not so practical in some ways, i.e. I'd rather have a refrigerator than the mini-bar. I'd rather have the coffee maker out and plugged in, instead of having it tucked in a cabinet and having to find a plug...which ended up being on the floor. But lovely bed and lighting, nice sofa with tables, nice tv, ipod radio. The bathroom is very modern. We had one room with both a shower and tub.
Room service was very accommodating with some menu requests. And the hotel is also situated next to a Capital Grille and McCormick and Schmicks. There is also a lounge and restaurant inside the hotel. They do have a free shuttle to the airport as well. -
Review from Nyota W.
Nice decor. It's very convenient to the airport- ohare. The service was great. The overhead rainfall shower is awesome! I was here for a conference so it worked out well. The one challenging part was the limited - though good- food options. There's a Capital Grill and McCormick and Schmicks right outside the hotel and 1 hotel restaurant. Pretty limited. If you want to go to downtown Chicago be prepared for a 40 minute train ride. If the concierge tells you that you can walk to the train, you can in approximately 10 minutes, but be prepared to borderline highway walk. Overall, nice stay and my favorite part was getting to the airport in less than 15 minutes in the hotel shuttle at the close of my meeting.

This is a beautifully modern hotel. I was recently at the InterContinental Hotel for a wedding reception and had a great time. The modern art and airy, white walls made the event truly unique.
For the first hour of the reception, cocktails and hor d'oeuvres were served outside the banquet hall in a reception area. I thought the cocktails area was really cool because the three support columns in the room looked like giant, white tree trunks. Very cool! The hallway leading up to the reception area was filled with modern paintings and instillation art. I loved the gallery feeling, which carried over into the lobby with these giant, white globe pendant lights and partitioned seating area used to display more art. In the main banquet area, there were beautiful lights on the ceiling that were in the shape of roses. Very pretty!
OK, enough about the decor. On to food ... which, unfortunately, wasn't very good. This is really the only reason I'm giving this hotel four stars instead of five. They did sort of a family-style dinner where the waiter served the food onto each person's plate. The chicken was good and so was the Potato Leak Soup ... but those were the only good things. The vegetables tasted weird and were kinda soggy. The pork was really fatty and hard to cut into. The rice was dry. The bread was good--I forgot to mention that.
I think part of the problem with the food was that they ordered weird items in an attempt to create an Asian-style meal ... when none of the dishes was Asian whatsoever.
But then again, it's hotel food, so what do you expect? It was served hot, so I guess that's all you can really ask for.
Overall, the InterContinental is a beautiful hotel. The decor is modern and elegant, the service was excellent and the food was served hot. -
Review from Amanda J.
Was staying at the ALoft with my co-workers and it was so terrible we actually moved over to the InterContinental. This was the exact opposite of the ALoft and my group and I really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful rooms but I think my favorite part was the Keurig coffee machine in my room. After drinking terrible hotel room coffee this was like a dream come true. We spent our evenings in the hotel bar and the wait staff could not have been better. The front desk staff helped us with storing all of our supplies and getting us in on such short notice. We loved the ease of the shuttle to our conference as well!

Review from Badri N.
This is a fairly new hotel, opened two years ago.
Convenient location, close to O'Hare, nice shuttle with complimentary water and soda bottles, courteous driver who knew the local area well and was able to provide several tips for local dining options.
Beautiful spacious lobby with an unobtrusive check-in desk. I was assisted immediately by Sam who was exceedingly polite and instantly upgraded my room to a one bedroom suite on the top floor. Ahh, the perks of constant business travel do come in handy when you travel for leisure since I had a $129 rate for a large suite, a tray full of welcome fresh fruit, unlimited free use of the minibar and free wireless Internet. All this at the upscale IC - score!!!
Elevators are quick and clean and plentiful. The room was just gorgeous. Granted, it's a new hotel but the room was just impeccable. A little powder room as you enter the living room adorned with a large sectional sofa that could seat 7, very modern coffee table, 55" plasma TV, desk, little pantry table and minibar.
Bedroom had a king bed with a really comfortable mattress and goose down pillows, a large chaise with a little rolling table for drinks or food, another plasma TV and large closets with the signature IC robes, slippers, shoebrush and shoehorn. A iPod/iPhone dock and remote with a really fantastic sound system for your own music selection and a sleek closk complete the accessories in the very large bedroom.
The bathroom alone was as big as several hotel rooms I've stayed in. All Kohler fixtures, high end pedestal sink with anti-fog mirror, a beautiful dark grey bathtub, glass tile accents, a large standalone shower with a rainfall showerhead and a corner for the commode. Very elegant, with accent lighting to set the mood if you were so inclined :)
Water pressure was great, water temperature was satisfactory though I personally would have preferred it a touch hotter. High end amenities as always at all IC properties.
The hotel is flanked by two restaurants and has a modest bar area. The Capital Grille and McCormick's and Schmick's are the two restaurants that are on the property and I tried the latter since I did not have clothes appropriate for the Capital Grille.
I did not get to try the gym or pool on this trip but will do so when I return for sure to this fantastic hotel, I will!
~ 5 stars overall for a truly memorable experience and a wonderful property and staff. I strongly recommend this hotel if your travels should take you to this area.

Wow!
I have never really enjoy a nice comforting Hotel. BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!.
Complimentary shuttle bus** from the Airport, Very professional staffs by the lobby and bar.
I was never so impressed in the entire room filled with awesome decor, Modern Elegant sofa*, King size comfortable bed*, Spacious. Sliding door to the bathroom with mirrors front and back., with a Standing shower room*. No noise on the ventilation for your privacy. Ipod radio so you can listen to your own music.
Did I tell you the Check In Lobby Uses Mac ??? like 6 of them!!
Did I tell you they have 2 restaurants next to them? (McCormick & Schmick's, The Capital Grille)
I spoiled myself ordering room service, Indulging myself a Flourless Chocolate cake mixed with Berry sauce and it was DELICIOUS!. (You can also eat at the restaurant because i love the way they displayed the place. If you're by yourself, there are sofas with a flat screen TV and a coffee table that you will feel like you're eating at home!)
Definitely will come back (If I have the chance to get this Awesome price for under $ 100.00 / night). You can't get this in any of the Big cities. I wish this room was my own home, I will never get out of here.
You deserve a 5 star! (Like they say, As good as it gets!).

Beautiful new hotel. We stayed here for 4 nights since we were attending a wedding. The wedding set-up was flawless and beautiful, and the food was amazing. Reception/Check-in is very friendly and all of the staff is very helpful. Great experience at the hotel bar too.
When my husband pulled out his suit it was totally wrinkled. We immediately called guest services and were very pleased with their willingness to help. It seems their laundering services are off-site so they originally said the suit would not come back until the next day around 5:30. Since the wedding was a 6:30 we thought that was cutting it a little too close so they offered to have it back by 3p. We were very pleased to come back to our room the next afternoon to find the suit hanging and wrinkle-free.
The shuttle service is very convenient. It leaves every 20 minutes and was a great way for us to get to the train station to get to downtown.
My only complaint is that the hotel room isn't really set-up for longer stays. The closet is very small and there are only 2 dresser drawers (we used the night stand drawer to hold more stuff). Although the bathroom is beautiful there is really no useful counter space. There is a bench and a shelf area off to the side which I guess you can put all your stuff, but it's away from the mirror so for make-up and hair it's inconvenient. After 2 nights I felt that our room was a pig sty since it was difficult to put things away. Housekeeping does a very nice job though with service in the AM as well as turn down. -

Great minds think alike!
As with Lauren H., I'm also much in agreement with Caroline A. on almost all fronts in regards to the InterContinental O'Hare... yes, it's delightfully modern, sexy and sleek, surprisingly stylish and a far departure from our downtown Michigan Avenue Intercontinental flagship location. Plush carpets in tones of burgundy and gold have now been replaced by muted neutrals, slate flooring and gleaming marble. Gone are those traditional brass fixtures and wood paneling in favor of chrome, glass and seamless lines. Loving the upgrade!
Everything from the lobby, to the meeting rooms (which I was sequestered in for what felt like 72 hours straight), to the guest rooms, to the structure itself have been appointed with incredibly mod and striking features. The feeling that an inspired Nate Berkus and uberfuturistic Vernon Panton ran hand-in-hand assembling this locale helps dispel any notion of a suburban - and ew, furthermore, airport - vibe and transports you instead to somewhere positively urbane.
Catering for our meetings and events was hands down class all the way... possibly even, dare I say it, fabulous?! Yes. It was. Bravo, and thank you for the fifteen croissants I housed and the half dozen Perrier!
My guest room was ready early (whoo!), spacious and modern and even boasted a nifty seating area with sassy chaise lounge and huge flat screen tv built into a burlwood wall. These are rockstar digs, I tell ya. The only major shortcoming was already mentioned and yes, it is found in the bathroom. There is absolutely ZERO counter space. The ultra modern sink is pretty to look at but rimless and lacks the utilitarian functionality that I positively require - yes, even more than pretty surrounds. Now to a gentleman this may be a moot point, but to us ladies, we have stuff! And by stuff I mean: makeup, hairdryers, products, curlers, flat irons, sprays, etc., etc. To not have anywhere to put said 'stuff' is insanely inconvenient and way annoying. Minus one star.
Overall though, a nice 3-day stay and one I would recommend to anyone traveling locally, needing to stay near O'Hare, and looking for a truly upscale hospitality experience. -

Very impressed with my first stay here. The hotel is spotless - the rooms are very chic but roomy and well provisioned. Hotel staff are very obliging and there appears to be a genuine guest oriented culture here. Great for quick visits to Chicago.

Review from Emma L.
After spending way too much time at O'Hare and having my flights cancelled, United put me up at the InterContinental O'Hare. There's a super quick, free shuttle to the hotel from the airport, but it's a cold walk over to the bus stop after midnight.
The staff person at the front desk was super helpful with my hotel voucher (first time using one) and the food situation, as I was starving at this point. They also have a fantastic piece of airplane art just behind the front desk.
Room was super swank, nice and modern with clean lines. Each room has its own thermostat for those of us who are constantly cold. Bathroom was nice and big but no counter space. They do have a real hair dryer, though, not those dinky hotel ones.
I was also disappointed by the lack of desk space. I would have liked a little more.
The pillows were artfully arranged but not the most comfy.
I appreciated the iPod dock, but I would have preferred to get free wifi.
Great hotel, but probably not one I would pick if I were the one choosing. -

Gus from the front office made sure we were all accommodated and worked wonders to get a conference room for the larger meeting. Our organization booked for a small conference and had a greater turnout that expected. The rooms were great, service excellent, an excellent choice if you need a hotel steps from O'hare.

I attended a wedding in one of their grand ballrooms and also spent the night. (Don't ya just love wedding in hotels?)
All in all, it was a great experience. The hotel is sleek and modern and impeccably clean. Abstract art sculptures (are those butts?!?!) flank the meeting spaces and ballrooms ceilings. Plush neutral carpeting and sleek and clean white tile throughout.
The rooms are clean and comfortable and modern. Very bachelor pad- like. The bathroom was an oasis of various shades of comforting gray.
The downfall: The food served in the ballrooms is a bit sub par for a place so seemingly glamorous. All the fillets at our table were cooked for, hmm, maybe 3 hours. The salad was blah. I also had an issue with the portable bars which didn't seem to carry that many options.
On the hotel-front: The Intercontinental didn't seem to staff enough people, so the checkin/out lines were a tad bit crazy. Also, there isn't really a coffee shop or restaurant, which leads to quite an unhappy Brittany at checkout time.
All-in-all, a nice private venue for weddings or events. A nice hotel to enjoy Rosemont's newly coined "entertainment district". -

Welll its very clean. Not phenomenal... service is exceptionally superb and friendly. The hotel is trendy and designed well. Cons: teeeeenie tiny toiletries which are NOT natural at all, and smell of a musty old person. Yuck. The bathroom's cool contemporary design is interesting but leaves much to ne desired. No shower door-cool looking, but just try to shave your legs with the frigid breeze coming in. Pedestal sink..small counter behind it for my makeup display. WorST lighting ever if you want to see yourself. Keurig coffeemaker is OK..its a teenie one you have to put the water in each time. AND its on a little tray they hide in the cupboard..THEN just try to find an open plug to plug it in! Bathroom has one but no counterspace. Desk plugs are taken. SOOOO the floor it is.. how lovely. The bed is also very hard. They need to take some pointers from the Heavenly beds. ..and..is it too much to ask to but those little pads on the room doors? They slam so loud..and you can hear everyone down the hall as their door closed.
Now I'm quite particular..but shouldn't I be?? It is a five star hotel.. ? But it still could be better! :-) -

Recently had an opportunity to stay at InterContinental Hotel near O'Hare as my husband was there on business. Very sleek and modern looking hotel with intersting artwork throughout. Was upgraded to a king suite which was very nice. Again, very sleek and modern. Spacious sitting area with huge flat screen tv, comfy lounge chairs and couch and bar area. Frosted glass doors separated it from sleeping area. Comfy king sized bed, plenty of drawers and closet space, and another huge flat screen tv.
Bathroom was also very ultra-modern but lacked counter space. Huge walk-in shower.
Visited the hotel bar which was packed with "name-tag" people, so the service was a little slow. Long bar with several barstools and a few cocktail tables off to the side. The Capital Grille and McCormick and Schmicks are on either side of the hotel for dining. 10 minute shuttle to O'Hare. Great hotel for the business traveller who wants to be close to the airport. -

Art gallery in reception was a great touch.

I wasn't looking forward to staying at a hotel by O'hare, but this hotel really cheered me up. The only reason it's not getting a 5th star is b/c of the location (as in not in the city). Having said that, it is very conveniently located if you have places to be in the suburbs and are flying in/out of OHare.
The rooms were really svelte. I really liked the art work in the room, the grey and minimalist color scheme was great too. Lovely and chic bathroom and a very open feel to the room in general. The bed was really comfy and it was a classy urban vibe.
After a long day of meetings, I was happy to walk out of the hotel and see McCormick and Schmicks a mere 20 yards away. I indulged in a steak and a dessert and went back to the hotel happy.
I'd recommend staying there and am glad that I recently signed up for InterContinental's loyalty program, as I'm finding I like several of their hotels. -

For a hotel airport, I'd give it five stars. Compared to other hotels in general, definitely a three.
My Manfriend was in for the night, and I got to explore the suburb of Rosemont. This Intercontinental is a brand new property, and a lot nicer than the one on Michigan Avenue. The rooms are a decent size. We had a modern and comfy sofa... I thought it was nice considering it was an airport hotel. The bed was big and comfy and everything was brand new.
The bathroom is ehhh, ok. My biggest gripe is that it was trying to be too modern. There was very little space to put my toiletries, and we all know I have a lot of them. The shower doesn't have a door and the water pressure wasn't that great. The bath amenities... well, lets not even go there. They were terribly disappointing.
However, if you're in town for a convention and need a place to rest your head, the Intercontinental is the place to do it in style.Listed in: Chicago Hospitality

Wedding season 2009 went out with a bang at the InterContinental Hotel in Rosemont. The hubby and I decided to have a bit of a staycation here because driving home after a wedding is never a good idea. Guess I learned something from D.A.R.E growing up!
This hotel is very different from the InterContinental downtown. While the downtown one screams old-school elegance, their new O'hare location is super sleek and modern. Walking thu the lobby and hallways we felt like we were at a modern art museum (super cool artwork) and our room had an upscale Ikea feel to it. I was a big fan of the rain shower in the bathroom, although the hubby complained their was no door to the shower.
The wedding was fabulous. The Guggenheim ballroom has modern decor like the rest of the hotel, yet it's still neutral so it works with any color scheme...including all the beautiful white flowers the bride chose for her wedding day.
The food at the wedding was great as well! Favorite appetizers during cocktail hour included the crab cakes and steamed dumplings...and the mini appletinis were a huge hit (had a few too many of those myself)! For dinner we had salad followed by both chicken and filet (no filet for me, but the chicken was tasty). We all went to town at the sweets table- the cheesecake lollipops were especially memorable.
My only real complaint is the $22/night self parking. That may be understandable for a hotel downtown, but highway robbery in Rosemont!
The perfect spot for my friend's dream wedding and we were lucky enough to enjoy our little staycation. If you happen to be visiting the Windy City I'd recommend staying downtown, but if you need to stay near O'hare or are looking to throw a wedding in this area this may very well fit all your needs.Listed in: Hotels Around the World

It's the weekend of Lollapalooza, we go to check into our downtown hotel, and the counter staff tells us our room has been cancelled. Long story short, 1-800-hotels left us high and dry with NO hotel room and I was out hundreds of dollars. The company they work with went BANKRUPT!
With no hotel and low on cash, we turned to Hotwire. Hotwire hooked us up with the Intercontinental. At first, I was wary, as the hotel is in Rosemont, a 30 minute train ride from Grant Park. Let me tell you, this hotel saved our weekend and exceeded any expectations. Our room was modern, clean, roomy, and simply amazing!! The room was spectacular and absolutely saved our weekend!
Even though the hotel isn't it downtown Chicago, for $2.25 you can take the blue line right into downtown. It was definitely worth it to pay less, get a better room, and take the train.
I would love to stay in this hotel any time in the future. AMAZING hotel! -

Beautiful space. Attended a wedding there. Amazing service. Very comfortable rooms. Good breakfast (but I think it's included for a limited time). Doesn't feel like you're in Rosemont!
I agree with Caroline about there isn't much shelf space to put toiletries in the bathroom, and it was weird not having a door in the shower! Given, no water escaped... -

Stayed here March 31st - April 3rd; my teenager and I decided to hit up Chi-town for her Spring Break. (I felt so good she still actually wanted to hang out with her Mom...)
I should mention I got this through a Price Line name your own, 4 star thingy.
Checked in with a guy named Rudy, very helpful, nice accent and quite easy on the eyes. Got a room with double beds on the 6th floor; amazing scenery, room nice w/ a jack-n-jill door. As stated, not much for counter space, um, not ANY counter space (they do know that FEMALES stay in hotels too, right? We NEED places to put out shit!)
Anywhoo; for 3 nights and 4 days we looked forward to going back to our room for a nap/sleep after shopping, driving around various neighborhoods and doing the tourist 'thang' of the Sears Tower skydeck, Shedd Aquarium & Field Museum.
If I can get another good deal on it; I shall return to Rosemont.
Pros: Lobby art work, friendly staff and a cool Cuba Libre from the bar.
Cons: $22/Parking (per day...) - Dayum. -

If I could add 5 more stars, I definitely would!!!!!
I really heart this hotel. I stayed on the utmost highest floor friday night, and it was unforgettable. I just wanted to add that their king size beds in the suites are so comfortable. If I start rolling around on my side of the bed, the person on the other end will not feel a thing! These suites are also equipped with 2 SHARP AQUOS televisions (one in the living room and one in the bedroom).
The drinks at the bar are delicious. They are sneaky about the drinks because I didn't taste the alcohol at all but felt it creep on me 15 minutes later. The buffet breakfast is so fresh and melts my heart every time. The juice is fresh and the eggs&cheese are fluffy.
And as always, the decor and furniture of the hotel is very modern and chic.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Wow, as far as airport hotels go...this place is amazing. The art, design, everything. Wow. Wow. The gym here is MASSIVE. I think there were 8 treadmills.
I can't comment much on the value because I priceline'd it for $50. -

Booked a room here on Hotwire for $79/night! The tag on the back of the door in the room says it's a $600/night room! NOICE!
This place is pretty awesome except for the parking. 0-6 Hours costs, yep you guessed it, only $18!!!!!! And 6-24 Hours only costs you a petty $22, a bargain right??! :( I was hoping for a nice weekend but now I am a prisoner in a luxury hotel, because every time I want to move my car out of and back into their stinking garage, I have to pay $18-22.
No wonder they're selling cheap rooms on Hotwire...it would seem that this hotel uses a similar business model as that of any inkjet printer company. They sell you a cheap printer or in this case a room, and then they proceed to ram their greased up fist deep into your ass and rape you as they please with their expensive ink, or in this case, parking. :| -

I would give this hotel 4 stars STRICTLY on their room design, but I have to degrade the experience for the reasons below. The bathroom had a columnar sink I absolutely loved. The lighting over the bed was wow. Gave you a nice robe to use, good toiletrie. Had a nice chaise longue, and in our room, the view was over the fields to the east, which meant nice open views and no planes taking off.
But the honor bar had one of those things where if you moved something, you bought it, which meant you could not take things out to make room for your own things, like a "real" refrigerator. And EXPENSIVE! We had stayed a few nights before at an excellent hotel downtown where Absolut was $6 (quite reasonable). Here it was $9.50. OK, at an airport hotel maybe you do expect to pay more than half again as much.
But what REALLY frosted me about the minibar? The small print that said "Prices do not include 10.25% tax AND 18% SERVICE TAX. 18% friggin' SERVICE on a mini-bar?!? AND a tax on top of that bringing the REAL price 28.25% more than the price they printed? That makes that $9.50 one oz Absolute really cost you $12 and change.
Here's the real shame of it, though. Their hotel bar (downstairs near the lobby) was BORING. It was cold, poorly designed to make it feel like you were drinking in a service corridor leading from one lobby to another, the service was bored, and the music was awful
AND the hotel charged for WiFi, too????!!!
AND $22 for parking ??? !!!!
Got there on a Sunday evening through a MASSIVE traffic jam due, apparently, to some sort of big-deal concert at the conference center across the street or . Ok, yeah urban designers, why not mix your concerts, your conventions AND your hub airport at the same freeway offramp? Sounds like a good idea to me.
Plus, the next morning,we had to return the rental car (which we had paid $22 to park at the hotel) before leaving on our plane. Asking the desk for map to the rental car return produced the same inaccurate Google Map I had printed out at home. It was TOTALLY wrong, and there was one, count it one, sign directing us to rental car return at O'Hare. OK, I digress, that's a n'other story.
Perhaps should have followed another idea and returned the car the evening before (concert or no concert), saved myself $22 in parking, and taken the hotel shuttle back to the hotel that evening and TO the airport in the morning.
There's a Hitlon in the middle of the airport. That's where I'm staying the next time. -

The rooms are beautiful, and huge, we ended up here through a travelocity secret hotel deal, best 55 bucks I've spent on a hotel.

We had a seminar at this hotel over the weekend, and had a fantastic stay. The staff was very pleasant, and the rooms very clean, modern, and comfortable.
The only downsides: the coffee shop near the lobby was VERY overpriced, and WiFi was not included in the room fee. For an upscale hotel such as this, I would expect complimentary internet service.
All in all a great stay, and also very near the airport and train with free shuttle service, so very convenient. -

This is a five star, postmodernist hotel in the heart of O'Hare. As such features shuttle to and from airport.
Excellent art displays, very modern, clean lines...but a little industrial looking for my taste with overt gray/dingy tones. Very comfortable, very well-trained staff (or colleagues, as they address themselves). Very well appointed rooms, fantastic bathroom facilities.
The rooms are very comfortable, well appointed, spacious and airy. The iPod friendly radio doesn't get good reception, if any at all.
Was at the hotel overnight and for a whole day for a quarterly committee meeting and a forum my company hosts each year at this time of year. Was pleased with everything except for the quality of some of the food.
The vegetarian/vegan meal option offered up by the meetings/kitchen personnel was a boring whole wheat penne with oily and sparse pesto and miniature slices of vegetables (penne primavera al pesto?). Was not up to the standards that I expected or that the place sets you up to have! Though their chocolate desserts, buffett, appetizers, and wine selections are all up to par.
Their ballroom section is a serious mini-convention center with plenty of space for any sort of event. During our stay and as we worked through our forum, we saw a number of brides-to-be (identified as such by my colleague) looking over the various space options with a hotel meeting planner.
