This place was okay. I almost expected a lot more from a sneaker shop even if it was in Boulder. Like Robert A. said, they do have a lot of cool custom jobs but in terms of the variety of brands.... it's still lacking. It feels more like a cool skate shop than a sneaker shop because they're a lot more specialized in skate style sneakers (they have a lot of Vans, DCs and Nikes.. some Reebok). I was looking for Pumas and Asics too so I didn't get as much variety as I wanted. I also think that men have a better selection here. If Installation is the best that Boulder has to offer, you might just want to order your sneaks online.
A branch off Satellite skate, these guys rightfully filled what was a missing niche in boulder shopping: a sneaker store.
The adidas selection is somewhat weak, but they make up for it with a some rare custom jobs and new burgeoning brands (modern amusement, gravis, etc.). The prices are regular boutique prices ranging anywhere as cheap as $45 to as much as $130's.
The apperal section belongs in some mall though: it's all nike golf shirts.
The most redeeming thing about this store--the reason i decided to give it four stars--homeboy behind the counter said he would special order sneakers for me. Word.
