Hm...the girls were all very friendly again on my second visit, but an hour later I noticed my feet still had "man calluses" that should've been smoothed down quite a bit more. As like last time, they still treated my big toes as if they were fingernails. Come on, ladies, when I say cut them short, I mean SHORT.
Maybe they should allow tipping? It's not their fault I have man feet, and I feel a little guilty asking them for any extra work. But for $36 ($10 more than I pay for the same level of service back in Chicago), I would've expected a little more.

Fabulous little place that is one of the most unpretentious businesses for Santana Row. Had a… Read more »
Meh. I've experienced better.. EXACTLY
For my twenty-first birthday my cousins and I came to get massages. InSpa was not our first choice, but it was hard to find a place that had three massage openings on such short notice. We should have seen that as a sign to not come here but I wanted a massage so badly!
Our appointment was for Saturday 1130, we arrived around 1120 and the receptionist checked us in, gave us a few forms to fill out. [as others have noted, the receptionist are not too friendly] My cousin and I were both greeted by our masseuse at the same time, went into our rooms at the same time, while my other cousin waited for hers. My masseuse was really nice, I didn't catch her name though.
Anywho, I've only had one other massage and this experience totally did not live up to the first! While she was massaging my back I felt tickled 80% of the time, and when I told her she said that some people are ticklish on their back and to laugh it out.. hmm why wasn't I tickled the first time I got a massage? Before I went into get my massage I was worried I'd fall asleep, but the tickling sure kept me awake! After my massage I had to wait another 10-15 minutes for my cousins, I was totally robbed!
They have a no tipping policy but that massage was not tip worthy.
First let me get the cons out of the way:
Front desk is not the friendliest. Actually they are really bitch to be quite blunt. No greetings just thrusting clipboards at you to fill out. When I mentioned that I was already in their system, I received a 10 second stare down. Then disgust as she looked up my name and being obvious that she did not expect to find it. She even refused to take back my clipboard until she found my name.
So why the 5 stars? :-)
After over 20 years of sucky massages, I found the perfect masseuse at this Inn Spa (George D. maybe Davison is the last name) for people who have had so many suck ass massages that they are now the kind of people that say:"Oh, I guess I am not a massage person!"
I recently went back for my birthday on June 30th and received the best massage in my entire life.
And this review is not for everyone, it is specifically for the person that was me in May looking up Spa after Spa on yelp trying to find a suitable masseuse that would not embarass me if I gave it as a gift.
I did not want a massage that was so light touched that it did not work out any knots, but I did not want to be battered like a fish stick on Good Friday. I have had plenty of those in the past and for the past 20 or so years, I have opted for sugar and salt scrubs to avoid either too rough or too light massages.
George D. changed my view. This guy rocked my world in a good way. His touch was very purposeful yet very soothing. Did he just work out knots in my neck that have been there for years? Oh my! And INSTEAD of attacking the knots in my back, shoulders and neck like some kind of pyschotic baker, George warmed up the muscles surrounding the knots initially. Then he went back with a masterful touch and the knots melted under his touch.
I never said ouch once. Wow. I guess that is the difference between a mediocre massage and a masterful massage.
But the best part were the long deep strokes from the length of my leg all the way up my back. (Whew! Was I glad that I took off those granny panties!)
Oh and the other best part was the foot massage that included warm booties. OH MY! Heaven. My fingertips were even relaxed. It was the best massage ever and that includes Spa Resorts and five star hotels.
Okay. The decor is like a dentist office so there is that...but the massage with this George guy is the best. Once the lights were dimmed, the decor did not matter because your eyes are rolling in the back of your head.
PS-
If you are not sure if you want to keep underwear on, I can share that I went topless and bottomless for the first time EVER and did not once feel exposed. He drapes expertly so that your body gets a great massage but you don't feel naked.
I also have a long scar on my leg from a childhood playground accident and he did not ask about that. Which I thought was really sweet...usually I have to answer that question every f'ing time I get a massage or scrub.
I had a pedi-mani scheduled right after my massage and kept sliding down my chair and moaning about how great my massage was. Angela my manicurist was also spectacular! She points on several top coats and makes sure that your nails are shaped perfectly! I would definitely reccoment Angela as a manicurist and George as a masseuse.
Until my massage with Geroge I have never once asked or cared who was giving me the massage, but this guy has magic fingers!!
Hope you find this helpful.
I continue to go here for my pedicures because...
1. It's clean and they sterilize their equipment after each use
2. It's intimate with 4 or so stations and a couple of rooms for facials/massages...this means fewer blabber mouths to mess up my me time
3. The foot scrub and massage are relaxing
4. My pedi still looks good weeks after
5. I love the no tipping policy
I get the classic pedi if I just want a quick procedure. If I'm in the mood to splurge a little, I get an InSpa Signature or Paraffin Signature for longer foot massages and more pamper time.
Minus 1 star because I always get a flower design and the quality varies depending on whose doing the pedicure.
Another minus 1 because I've been elsewhere with more and better ambiance.
went here for a pedicure. the nice thing about the place is that I don't have to tip. But even without the tipping policy, she was very sweet, nice and did a fairly good job.
She actually picked out the color for me because the one I picked was too light for a pedicure and I loved it. I got the classic and will go back later to try their facial.
Mother's Day. You would think that on such a special occasion, they would try extra hard to ensure that all things go smoothly.
I showed up with my mom for our pedicure appointments. We find out that the machine only has us down for ONE appointment. (Nevermind the fact that I had received a confirmation call the day before on my TWO appointments!). So they can't squeeze in two appointments at the same time for a pedicure, but offer the option of a massage instead.
I raise my eyebrow and inquire whether the service would be discounted. The worker assured that "something will be taken care of afterwards." So my mom happily accepts the massage, while I head for my French tip pedi. The service was nice enough, but I was not impressed by the facility. It was small, and while clean, not necessarily decked out in decor. And the only refreshments offered was a water dispenser!
I may be a bit spoiled since my first ever spa experience was at Burke Williams in Pasadena. Which was pretty darn luxurious. For In Spa, I expected something comparable, spas should feel like an oasis or an escape - especially coming from an expensive spa located on Santana Row. It was disappointing to feel like I was just reclined in a brightly lit beauty salon, not a spa. While I liked the "no tip" policy, I wouldn't have minded doing so since my pedicurist Holly was the most enjoyable part of my experience.
I'm leaning towards a 2.5, only on account that we ended up receiving a 25% discount after all of the trouble!
The first time I went here I would have given it ten stars if possible. I returned here for a pedicure, excited that I would be receiving the high level of service that I initially had. Unfortunately it could have been a lot better! I went for the french pedicure and while it's nice not having to tip when you don't get great service, $48 is way too much money for the quality of pedicure that I got. Actually in my opinion $48 is too much for a pedicure, period.
First of all, the girl doing my pedicure constantly spoke with her coworker in Vietnamese. I don't want to sound paranoid but they both kept looking at me when they spoke so I naturally assumed they were talking about me. I know, I know! That's a total cliche right? Secondly there was no callus work done. I don't have really bad feet but they are a little rough in some places. Lastly I spent the adequate amount of time drying my toes, wore the requisite flip flops and then the next morning saw that two of them were already chipped.
There are some positives to this place. It is clean, the people up front are warm and professional and my appointment was on time. I think for the money I'll try Burke Williams next time I'm in town.
I get my eyebrows waxed by Brenda about once a month, and she does a great job. I like lying there on the heated table enjoying the soothing spa music while she works on me. It's very peaceful and I usually start to drift off even though I'm having hair ripped off my face. The prices are a bit more than what I'm used to paying elsewhere, but I do like that there is a no-tipping policy, and so it kind of evens out. They're also running a promotion where they give you a 10% discount if you prebook your next appointment.
Note: I only get my eyebrows done here. I had a deep tissue massage here once and it was the worst massage I've ever had. The masseuse had no concept of what a deep tissue massage should be. In fact, I actually had to go somewhere else the next day to have my knots worked out properly (http://www.yelp.com/bi...).
I am in a perpetual search for the best zit popper in the Bay. The ones who are meticulous enough to spot a clogged pore and brave enough to press with that little metal contraption to get the clogging agent (read: excess sebum) out. The ones that would bring tears to my eyes during the process, and red, raised bumps after they're done.
I want them to show no mercy. For beauty is never painless. At least that's what I found out growing up elsewhere.
Alas, the zit poppers in the Bay are nowhere to be found. Or they purport to be zit poppers yet they (for fear of lawsuit, maybe?) were too afraid to inflict pain on the customer. So they just gently trace your face (whose clogged pores are in desperate need of cleansing) with the abovementioned contraption, poked and probed once in a while, and then left my expectant self alone with a cooling, soothing mask. Fifteen minutes later, I was on my way. My wallet was $89 lighter and my skin no clearer than before.
Yet the staff were nice (who wouldn't) and the place was nice, clean and unpretentious.
The search continues.
This was my first time ever getting a facial and I desperately needed one. Not that my face was incredibly heinous, but after graduating from college and after the boyfriend admit my face was "splotchy", it was a much desired treatment. Fortunately, the boyfriend who made that observation treated my girl friend and I to both a facial and manicure for my birthday. Brownie points for him, indeed. Since it was my first time, I didn't know what to expect. Upon arrival, the receptionist said that we were about 15 minutes late, which I didn't mind.
The facial overall was exceptional. I felt relaxed and my face felt clean after some exfoliation and moisturizing. The esthetician was pretty nice and professional and even gave me this sort of whole-arm massage. The downfall was the oily residue that made both my friend's and my face shine pretty uncomfortably.
I also enjoyed the manicure. The lady's name was Diem. Though her English was a little muddled, that didn't stop her from being super sweet. Maybe the fact that I decided to strike up conversation with her in Vietnamese might've helped. I decided to get the French tip and the end results was pretty good with the exception with a few air bubbles. If I was more mindful of my nails (i.e., washing dishes w/o gloves, playing sports), my nails would be in the same initial condition. It's pretty good a week later.
I would come back here to give the facial another try, but not the manicure because it's a little overpriced. Aside from that, the staff was nice; there was soothing music that went along with the neat decor; and my first spa experience was not so shabby!
Reader beware- this is gonna get a little pornographic here. I'm serious!! Also, the place wasn't anything amazing so my whole rating is pretty much based on my experience with this one therapist.
My boss is awesome and wanted to thank me for all of my hours slaving with a gift card to the InSpa. I was SO excited... I hadn't had a massage in months. When booking my appointment the receptionist asked me if I was alright with having a male therapist. I figured why the heck not- they're all going to be professionals, right? Right??????
Yea don't get a male therapist. I'm sorry, but after my experience here, I won't do it again!
Everything started out fine and as expected. The place was clean and cute.. I was psyched. I said hi to my therapist and thought, eh yea it's a guy but whatever.
At first he wasn't saying much, but then he made the small comment that I must work out cuz my legs have lots of definition in them. UM EW MUCH??! First of all, I'm painfully out of shape LOL... and second of all, I just found it a little creepy. Like, fine- you're touching my body, but HELLO, you do not need to comment about it. To his credit, he was really working out a lot of my issues, so I gave an awkward thanks and tried to just ignore him. Then he asked me to turn over.
Now, I have several friends who are massage therapists and have asked them all what they think of what happened next. All of them agree that he his a total creep and I should never go back. When I turned over onto my back he asked me if I'd like to try out this arm stretching technique that involved bringing my arm up over my head. Sure.
Too bad I didn't realize that would involve my breasts to be totally exposed to him in the process!!!!!!!!!! I thought the first nip-slip was an accident but OH NO- he did it on the other side! I kid you not! So much for any kind of appropriate draping techniques! The whole experience was totally RUINED!
The front staff is really nice and helpful. I made an appointment for myself earlier but they were willing to squeeze my mom in that very same day. I used my gift card on a deep cleaning facial ($89) for myself and a anti-aging ($94) for my mom. My esthetician was really nice and knowledgeable and she did a great job! My face felt super clean and smooth. But my mom wasn't so happy with her facial, she felt that her esthetician did nothing but pile on different creams on her face and felt quite greasy after. I felt bad that my mom just got an expensive face wash, and nothing special...
The place is super clean and they have this neat no-tipping policy. Parking was a nightmare! Be sure to come about 30 minutes early to find parking. I would totally come back if I get more gift cards! Lol.
Great for pedi's.
I go to InSpa at Santana Row for pedicures when I have visitors from out of town. I can usually drop in and get an appointment for two just an hour or so latter that day. And this gives you just enough time to check out a few shops and grab a Starbucks. Then you head back over and just relax. The lady's there a very friendly and will engage you in conversation if you prefer or let you rest your eyes if you like.
I usually get the InSpa Signature pedi, and it is just right. About 45 minutes of soaking, massage, warm lotion, etc. and then 15 minutes to actually paint (i always get the french). I think the no tipping policy is great, because it would sure cost a lot more with how great these ladies are.
(This is not where I go for my everyday pedi, a little to pricey, but if I had the money I would be here every two weeks)
I have now moved to Southern California, and have been unimpressed with the manicures and pedicures. I was going to InSpa and receiving regular manicures and pedicures from Holly, who is amazing, does meticulous work (which is extremely important to be being that I leaning more and more each day towards OCD), and is great to talk to. I can't stress enough that her paint jobs including french are fantastic, and she knows that this is something that is also important to customers and takes her time. I am sad to not have our bimonthly sessions! Also agree that ladies in the front can be short and are more concerned with doing their own nails and chit chatting amongst themselves. That's what happens when you hire children to work the front!
Just had my 3rd visit to this InSpa location. I've only had mani/pedis here so that's all I can speak for. I love the no-tipping policy. It's very straight-forward, you pay what's on the menu, no need to engage in any mathematical brain teasers while you are there to try to relax in the first place. That being said, I still think it's over-priced. =The service is mediocre, not bad, but not spectacular either. The massage was seriously lacking but the trimming and coloring were great. I would come back if I happen to be in the area (and if my budget permits).
I guess I got lucky compared to many of the others.
I had a wonderful massage therapist...she was russian I believe...and her name was Helva...or Olga...uhh yeah. I'm kind of bad with names.
Anyways, my back was killing me and I asked for a deep tissue/swedish massage. She found all my knots and worked them very gently...yet with enough pressure to loosen them up.
She was very flexible and catered to all my requests in pressure, strokes and problem areas. Afterwards, my back felt nicely loosened up. I will definitely be requesting her again my next time around.
I went there last year as my Prom prep day with a facial, manicure, and pedicure.
The facial was alright, extractions were painful, but they're extractions. My esthetician was very talkative and the walls were very thin so that you could hear what was going on outside. It really wasn't relaxing. However, it did do it's job as a facial.
I made an appointment for a French pedicure and manicure but the technician doing my nails didn't realize it and had to switch with another technician half way through who did my polish and then my manicure. I thought it was odd, but I am not a frequenter of nail salons or spas. The nail appointments were also not completely relaxing, with traffic going right behind the technician. However, my nails came out very nice. The manicure and pedicure got the job done.
All in all, atmosphere is pretty much nonexistant. It's clean, bright, and business-like. If you need something done and that's your focus, it's an efficient solution. However, you get what you pay for. There are no extras, no perks. It is what it is. It's much like the difference between "shopping" and "getting" with this being "getting".
Visit Date: 10.17.08
Did the tandem spa treatment to get my "tootsies" done - they needed some work badly! Even got a little polish on them!
Overall, a pleasant atmosphere - more friendly than Nordstrom, and cheaper too. They have quite a few different services available if you need some major work done!
Would I go back? Yes, definitely!
Did I mention they have a "no tipping" policy? Their philosophy is that instead of tipping, they prefer you tell other people about the spa or come back as well! Can't beat that!
I wonder if all the massage therapists are newbies. It seemed like the person I had was! I felt that it was not relaxing and she was making it up as she was going through every part. from the crinkling of the sheet to not returning my arm back under the blanket when she was done ( most tuck your hand back in) - my arm was dangling in the wind. I left it there hoping that she would notice when she returned to the neck/back portion....nope she just kept massaging. So I made it obvious when I finally returned my arm under the crinkled covers. It was suppose to be a 90 min massage but was only 80min. Is that for 10 min to dress? I'm not sure. Also, this was the first time that I had a massage where they did not massage the front part of my legs and feet. What's up w/ that!
I'm wondering if the no-tipping policy keeps the experienced massage therapists away.....
I would give that massage therapist 1 star but give the place a 3. I could be persuaded to go back and try someone different.
When I first starting going to InSpa, I would have given this location 5 stars. I've been to massages with three different girls, had facials, and went for regular bikini waxes. My first bikini waxist wasn't a good experience... Minha (who hasn't worked there in over a year, I don't think) spent about 5min waxing, left a bunch of areas untouched, and kept saying how much I needed a facial (my skin is -fine-) with her.
But I decided to give it another shot, and went back to see Anna the next time. She was amazing. I had her for a facial previously and she made me feel so comfortable and relaxed, chatting away about whatever to take my mind off the pain of waxing. I regularly went back to her for about a year.
However, in early April I called to make another appointment, and I was informed that she was 'no longer with [them].' I don't know what that means (fired or quit) but I do know that the three different girls I've had (at this InSpa and the one in Almaden) left much to be desired. No joke, the last girl I had (Cassandra @ Almaden) left a full 3/4" strip of hair before walking out. NOT satisfied. And another girl I had actually burned my skin with the wax (it was red for WEEKS) even though I kept telling her it was too hot.
I don't often complain about places that I go to, but I don't think I'll be returning to InSpa anytime soon, which is a shame being that I was a religious customer for about a year.
Those four stars are for my sister's pedicure. Mine was a 2-star pedicure.
If you read my update on Pinky Nail Spa, you'll understand why it was time to find a new mani/pedi place. http://www.yelp.com/bi...
I tried to book side-by-side pedicures somewhere in Santana Row while my sister was in town. I was trying to get a Saturday morning appointment in the same week as the phone call - I know, not very smart, but I'm a lifelong procrastinator - what can I say? First choice Burke Williams didn't have any openings. Lavande didn't have any openings, which is probably a good thing, considering it's terrible yelp reviews. InSpa was the next phone call and they had room and at the exact time we wanted.
When we arrived, we were greeted by name. The shop looked great. Nicely stocked and clean. They sat us next to each other and set us up with magazines. The technicians were very professional and friendly. We were thrilled to see them break open a sealed package of tools to do the pedicures. The pedicures varied a little and my sister got a better one than I did. I think my technician performed minor surgery . She went to town digging under my nails. It was very uncomfortable. I get pedicures on a pretty regular basis and no one has ever gone after that part of my toe before. Her name tag didn't say M.D., so I don't think she had any business performing surgery, especially without anesthetic. My sister's pedicure was very good. Cindy was her technician and I would recommend her. I'm going to request her next time.
I felt that the pedicure was a good value. We got the "classic" pedicure, which is their mid-priced pedicure at $36. It took about an hour and the paint job was excellent. They have a no-tipping policy, which they ask you to respect. Felt weird for me, as a tipped employee, to not tip for this service. I assume the technicians are paid well enough to compensate for this policy, but I will definitely do a little more research on this before I book another appointment.
I will second, third, fourth... you get the idea... what alot of other yelpers have said about InSpa - you get what you pay for.
InSpa at Santana Row is not a place to go to for a long luxurious spa day. InSpa is what I like to call efficient. Now don't get me wrong, that's not a bad thing cuz they don't try to mislead you. That's honesty I appreciate & would've given another star for, BUT... the esthetician who did my facial talked the whole time while I was trying to relax even if I was there for a "quicky" facial & to be able to clearly listen in on all the conversations of those getting their nails done outside the room didn't help any. But 3 stars nonetheless for being the a nice place for a quick facial & not pretending to be something its not.
This place is very clean, the staff is friendly, I love their manicure/pedicure set up and the prices aren't as bad as you'd expect in Santana Row (although still a little more than I'd pay on a regular basis).
I got a manicure and pedicure here - it was nice and turned out very well, but I just wish the lady who did my nails spoke a little more English so the conversation she tried to start with me would have gone better. Also, I was wearing normal shoes (I dont' know why) and she was reluctant to give me the little pedicure flip flops, saying that she was sure my nails were dry enough to put my shoes on. I'm glad the receptionist insisted that I get the little shoes.
I hear they also do good waxing. They use the hard wax instead of strips, which I greatly prefer. My aunt works at the Almaden location and I can personally vouch for her speed and skill.
I booked an appointment for me and a girlfriend to get a manicure/pedicure - girls morning out! The place was great. They were very friendly, and we had a great time chatting while we had our nails done. My toenails are still looking like I just got them polished, and it's been 2 weeks!
I will definitely go back, or try the one closer to my house.
I got my brows waxed here once. NEVER AGAIN. The girl was nice enough but she was sniffling and sneezing all over. I know the girl was sick and all, but I don't want that all close to my face. She didn't do a great job at shaping and I could get my brows done somewhere a lot cheaper and better. I told her, my eyebrows are kind of uneven (I know, I'm weird) and she was just like..."ohh, yeah I see that." and didn't even try to even them out. No skills!!!
Good things: It opens early & it's really clean.
A good solid massage at a reasonable price. The ambiance at InSpa is not ultra luxury but I really don't care about that fluff. Basically, I want a therapeutic and/or relaxing massage at a good value. The no tipping policy allows me to know exactly how much I am going to spent. Lastly, I hate scented oils, so I am happy to let you know that they have unscented oil.
I recommend that when you call, you detail what kind of massage (therapeutic, relaxation, deep tissue, problem areas that you have, etc) that you are looking first to line up the right masseuse.
Overall, a good solid day spa.
I came bc i received a gift certificate from my boyfriend. I decided to try out the deep cleansing facial. i wish i remembered the name of the girl that did my facial bc she was amazing. blonde girl with an accent. my face was soooo soft and smooth! she gave me such a relaxing shoulder and neck massage during the facial i decided to come back for the deep tissue massage that same week.
sadly, it wasnt as fantastic as the one i had recieved during my facial. I had a different girl this time. it wasnt bad exactly, but i just did not leave with that total bliss feeling.
Overall, it was good for the price, even if the quality was a bit inconsistent.
OK so I came here for the 2nd time thinking maybe I would find a better masseuse. Boy was I wrong. If your looking for a "Real" blissful massage, I would not suggest coming here. The prices are reasonable, but would you want to pay over 75 dollars for a mediocre massage?? I would rather pay more for a massage that's unforgettable.
The place is clean - I have to give it to them for that.
InSpa is not an upscale-spend-the-day-as-a-kept-women-day-spa. It is truly a come in get your service and move on out.
Being a full time Mom and full time employee it is the perfect Spa for me to get quick, reasonable service. I like how the tip is built into the service. But for me the best part is that they open at 9am!
I find the place to be clean and no-nonsense.
I have done a few sessions of the "Tension Release Massage: from Cristal and I think she is the best! She looks at my back and goes "that is where the pain is" and then she works out the knots. It is 30 minutes --- you can chose to take your shirt off and get oiled up, but she then wipes down your back so you are not "greasy" when you leave.
For me this is luxury.
I have had two manicures there (Cheated on Heidi --- don't tell her) but they are not as good as my regular manicurist in Palo Alto.
This review is based on a single experience with one service - your mileage is definitely going to vary. I was way over due for a brow shaping and snuck in a first-thing-in-the-morning appointment with Elena. I was really pleased with her attention to detail and willingness to help me look my best for an event that afternoon. She was thorough, un-rushed and friendly/professional. I would have no problems recommending her to friends. The spa itself is part of a chain that specializes in "no frills" spa treatments. I don't think they're trying to compete with Preston Wynn or Burke WIlliams - maybe not what you'd expect for Santana Row, but then they have plenty of other spas there if that's what you're looking for!
I was in desperate need of a massage when I found this place online and thought why not give it a try. The massage by Sarah was good. She really knew what she was doing.
They do a really good job on Brazilian Wax too. The hard wax is definitely painless. I love the girl Min Ha. She makes you feel comfortable during the whole process. And will always ask if the wax is too hot, or if i'm doing okay... She left my downthere really neat and clean.
The only thing i don't like about the salon is that sometimes they make you wait even if your appointment schedule has passed already...and there's not enough seats in the waiting area.
It's too bad though that they can't take tips...coz Minha and Sarah really deserve a big fat tip.
This place is great for waxing!
Its reasonable ,the service is friendly and Anna is great.
She explained me everything from the kind of waxes she was using to the skin care after waxing. She talks you through it and you dont feel a thing.
She is friendly ,fast and before you know you are done with the painful waxing that you ve been dreading all this while.
So, great painless quick waxing with friendly staff...
My friends and I did a wallet-friendly spa day which concluded with a visit to InSpa. The staff accomodated 5 of us with very professional and courteous service. We were very happy with our mini facials for only $40, which came with a great shoulder/arm massage.
I would recommend this place for great quick yet proffessional service!
Wow, what is it with this place? I went in for a massage and facial and the massage therapist talked the ENTIRE time! Do they not get that people come to spas to relax? Not only did she talk the entire time, she talked badly on the business and informed me of how they only paid her $24 an hour for doing the massage even though they charge like $70. SO terrible, I should have got my money back. I made the bad assumption that coming to Santana Row would be more classy and professional, NOT!
My trips here are often w/ my best friend & we just have a great time. Our estheticians are Marina & Karen and they do a superb job! we've been here several times and i've never been disappointed w/ the service.
Wow... what an awful pedicure. I've never wanted to leaving during a pedicure, but this place makes me what to head for the hills. No massage and the technician was distracted and rude. Even worse I paid for the worst brow wax ever... and left with two completely different eye brows. On the bright side, I learned to use an eye brow pencil.
My husband bought me a gift certificate here at In-Spa and I went in for a one hour massage, one hour facial and a pedicure. The massage was great, but it was really hard to relax because you can hear people talking right outside of your room. It's definitely not a relaxing experience (which is the reason I go to the spa in the first place). The facial was okay, but again I could hear the people outside the room talking (which is the pedicure/manicure area), so again, not relaxing. And the pedicure was good, but nothing amazing. I probably won't ever go back.
common sense business practice
-- don't talk crap about your customers in your native language when your customers could just MAYBE understand
I do not appreciate being called a dog, and you're just dumb to be talking shit about me when I could actually be the same ethnicity you are!
-- Don't speed through my pedicure. I pay the extra dollars for better service and sanitation. If I wanted your drive-through pedicure service, I could've gone to the 15 dollar nail salons that you can find in every Asian plaza
I'm waiting for a call from upper management to follow up on the WORST service I've ever received. Lets see if they can change my opinion about this place.
I went here a few months ago because i couldn't get an appoinment at my regular nail place. I tried it, and i don't think i would be going back at all. They didn't even have a regular person to do nails! I don't think it's a place to get your nails done. The place is clean, but the service is not that great.
you definitely get what you pay for - quick, efficient service with no glitz and glamour. i don't mind, though - if i wanted the whole spa service with the chocolate scented baths, i'd go out and pay extra for it, but inspa gives me what i need in the short time that i have these days.
gabrielle is awesome for deep tissue massages and angie is a sweetheart when it comes to nails. i recommend inspa for a quickie when you're tired of swiping the plastic on santana row.
