Oh boy am I happy. I called Terry and he sent over one of his contractors to do a repair job on my levelors. The contractor was sharp, smart and got the job done.
I had called someone else prior and they told me I'd need a whole new set of blinds and also when I told them that my blinds are 10 feet long and they may have to walk up flights of stairs, I never heard back from them.
And then I emailed Terry. First, he emails right back. Oh this is looking good. And then the contracctor calls me the same day. Now this is looking better. And then the contractor set up the appointment, called me prior to getting here. Oh man...this is good...you mean real customer service still exists...and then he gets here. And he checks everything connected to the blind. He fixes the problem, educates me on the type of blinds I have and is careful not to fall.
My confidence is restored. There are still good folks providing good customer service.
Carlton and Terry. I want to thank both of you. I now have light once again in my apartment and in my soul. One thing I know for sure is that good customer service is still around. And that is a great feeling. -

Terry has an amazing eye and a great feel for color and texture. He knows how to address a room and what the needs for that space are with the right window treatments. He transforms a space with his artistic eye and really enhances the space.

It does NOT GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS. Price is good, ideas are GREAT.. I've installed 3 different times and each time has been EXACTLY THE SAME as the prior one: professional, honest, efficient and UNBEATABLE. I would have made a BIG BIG EXPENSIVE mistake if I had not gone with Terry. DO NOT HESITATE. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME with anyone else. He's the embodiment of hard work, takes pride in his job, and makes you feel like there are good reliable people making a good honest living in this world. Thanks Terry.

Working with V2K was an easy & fulfilling experience. Terry came out to discuss options for window coverings, he displayed a great deal of knowledge of the VAST array of choices and guided us in making the right choice. He brought out samples for us to see before we placed the order and he handled the measuring and installation in a timely fashion.
The products is great, the price was fair and the service was spectacular.
I would recommend V2K to anyone wondering what they can do with their windows. -

I recently purchased window coverings from Terry Leake of V2K Window Decor and More for my office in North Berkeley. We have very intense sunlight in the late afternoon which had prohibited me from scheduling appointments during these hours. We also have a beautiful view and did not want to completely block the windows.
Terry came prepared to solve the conflict with three or four treatments which reduced the sunlight while retaining the view. He comes equipped with software which enables you to view how the shades look in YOUR space, which simplifies the selection process.
If the truth be known, however, Mr. Leake's first choice was what we went with. He had done his homework, asked the right questions and had come up with the optimum solution.
He measured and MEASURED and MEASURED!! Consequently the custom coverings actually fit perfectly right out of the box. The installer was knowledgable and neat.
We are very happy with the final result and would heartily recommend Terry Leake and V2K Window Decor and More for high quality window coverings.

After reading all the great reviews on Yelp, we decided to ask Terry to create custom motorized shades for our newly remodeled bedroom. He was able to give us a great price and we decided to give him the work. When he came to install the shades it turns out that they were too narrow, since Terry had not accounted for the trim around the windows. He did reorder 2 of the shades, covering the cost himself, but even these new shades were still narrow. Several professionals told us that they also thought the shades look too narrow for the windows. Overall we are happy with the result, but it would be so much nicer if the size had been measured correctly.
Update: About 1 year after the installation, one of the window shades fell off the motor, and we were really worried. But after calling Terry, he moved heaven and earth to help us. It turned out that the factory (not Terry) had not properly mounted the shades. Terry worked tirelessly, and in the end got us a completely shade, now with the proper dimensions and a much better motor. He made sure we had temporary window coverings while we were waiting for the new shades to ship, and sent someone to install them right away. This has been the best customer service we have received in a long time! -

My fiance and I used Terry and V2K to purchase and install our window coverings. Terry was so accommodating. He came to our house after work and was very patient with us. He made pertinent suggestions regarding colors and brought over a larger sample to further assist us. His prices are reasonable. He closely supervised the installation and insured that everything was done properly. Terry is super professional, friendly and diligent.

Outstanding. I found Terry Leake from yelp and am thrilled with his work. He is extremely professional and personable and works around your schedule. I asked him to come around 6:30 so he could see the problem (early evening brutal sun rendering the living room all but unusable for two hours a day, six months out of the year). I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted and he brought that as well as some other suggestions. When faced with decorating choices, I always feel overwhelmed and find it difficult to make a decision. Terry made deciding easy. He came back to do the installation ahead of schedule and did an impeccable job. Really. Thrilled. I can't recommend him highly enough.

We are lucky to get a lot of beautiful afternoon sun beaming into our offices, and I was searching for a way to filter some of it out without changing the look or feel of the office. Terry Leake was extremely helpful--he took the time to evaluate the situation and then presented different options to me and described the pros and cons of each, and then ultimately let me decide what would be best for my space and budget. Once I decided, he was quick and efficient with the install, and the finished product was exactly what he said it would be! Throughout our interactions he was always friendly and punctual and accessible, and really wanted to make sure that I had a good experience in working with him. He's very knowledgeable and professional, someone I will definitely work with again and refer to others for window covering needs!

True story: The unexpected houseguest was arriving on Friday -- and the window was bare! It was high off the ground, so privacy wasn't an issue...but what if our guest wanted to sleep past sun-up??? I really didn't think there was enough time, but Terry brought over samples, and then called the factory to determine whether the rush was possible and confirm that our color choice was available. I expected a snafu, but he and the installer showed up -- right on time, in rush hour traffic and 90 degree heat. Wow! Truly impressive service and a beautiful product...at the right price! We look forward to using Terry for all the windows in the house (but at a more leisurely pace).

Terry is fantastic. Our loft type office has some very particular peculiarities. We needed coverage for a large rolling garage style window and two smaller windows. The tricky part was that the garage window that needed covering was 20 feet in the air, requiring a remote controlled motor. The smaller windows actually open up to the inside and we needed to be able to have them covered and be open at the same time. The first place we tried said it was impossible. Not Terry. Terry entered the scene with his thinking cap on and came up with very creative solutions to both of our requests. He worked with us for several months (as our blinds all needed special ordered parts and fabric) making sure we got just what we wanted. Terry is a very smart man and a joy to work with. His prices are fair and it's nice to know you are dealing with a consummate professional.

Terry of V2K WIndow Decor was so friendly and easy to work with! His pricing is very reasonable, the craftsmanship of his shop is very good, and we are very very pleased with our window treatments in our master bathroom. He also brought up some considerations during the design process that I had not thought about, so he really contributed to the success of the project. We would happily use him again!

It was a pleasure working with Terry when he installed our blinds. He listened carefully to our needs and recommended a product that fit us to a tee. He did not try to "over-sell" anything, which we appreciated very much. The blinds were delivered on time and installed expertly. Our room looks great thanks to Terry's service and expertise. Terry Leake was great to work with, and very flexible, coming to my house on weekends if it suited my schedule. He had a lot of innovative ideas and patiently gave me a range of options, fabrics, colors until we settled on those that best fit my decor as well as my budget. I'll use him again in the future.

You couldn't ask for a nicer person to help finish off the interior of your home than Terry. Within fifteen minutes of submitting a request for an appointment, I got a call on my cell phone from Terry. That really impressed me. There were a couple of snafus with my order, and Terry absorbed an additional cost, as his vendor didn't relay that information to him. He's thorough, on time, professional, and a nice guy on top of it all. His prices are competitive. You are getting great service when you work with Terry.
