This boutique hotel is 'by the Lake'. It is not to be confused with 'on the Lake' which it is not. You are very close to the Lake, but it is not out your balcony door. If you are going to Tahoe to play in a hockey tournament like I did, then stay here. It's so close that you could walk to the rink. You probably won't want to walk, but you could if you did want to. It is visible from the main road (Hwy 50). There are many things for free including a continental like breakfast, gym with cardio machines, a large hot tub and a pool and of course, free wifi internet. I did not use it, but it looked like there was some kind of bike rental thing on the premises. All the rooms have a balcony or a patio. There is plenty of parking and very quiet.
The rooms are okay. They are a good size, but the seem kind of old. The bathroom needs some work and the tv is what you might consider putting in your bathroom.
If you are not here for a hockey tournament, you can probably find a more cost efficient choice.
