A definite boutique and almost hip B&B Inn conveniently located a stone's throw away from Venice Beach (and my customer destination).
Though it is not a four star boutique hotel of the NYC or London quality, it is definitely a boutique hotel! A hidden gem and a bargain! Well, sometimes. Compared to corporate approved Courtyard or Inn hotels, this place is definitely cheaper while providing the same fluffy pillow and sheet amenities, hip robes, clean toilet with marble finish, very powerful shower heads, free internet access (albeit slow, you will not be able to VPN to your corporate HQ in peace!), free continental breakfast, and a very eager and sincere customer service staff.
I wish they just offered free parking, but I guess business is business, since they are strategically located, a $4.40 (plus tax) parking a day is reasonable.
The courtyard is marvelous! The afternoon sun's rays are strong, while during the evenings the fountain located at the a center gives you a soothing relaxing feel. The quaint courtyard reminds me of one of my favorite boutique hotels in Rome, the Hotel Locarno by Piazza del Popolo.
I truly enjoyed my stay at this place, especially since the Marriott Courtyard at MDR's quote is over $200 a night this week.
A perfect venue that would help save a startup's expense budget while providing the employee a comfortable home away from home.

This place is not nice. I got it mixed up with another place and stayed there by accident. Yes it's cheap but not as cheap as it should be. It did seem fairly clean. And sometimes that will do in a pinch. Like if you are running from the law or sneaking around.
If hotels were graded on a bell curve, the Inn at Venice Beach would be placed just a small distance away from the median. The location is both excellent and disappointing. It sits next to the beautiful Venice Canals neighborhood and steps away from C&Os, but the main Venice Boardwalk is a 20-minute walk away, a smelly, urine-soaked 20 minute walk.
I blame myself for picking the cheapest room. For $130, I had a room that faced the noisy boulevard. How expensive is it to add sound-proof windows? The rooms were bland, straight out of Holiday Inn Express, but more rugged and used. There was nothing "boutique" about this place. There were no design, no service, nothing to make it memorable. However, that doesn't make it a bad place to stay. Just be forewarned that this is a very average hotel that you won't find yourself coming back to often when you are out on vacation.

Stayed here for one night. It was a cute little place. Although we at first had a suite booked and then were told the day of check in that due to no suites available anymore, we were now being downgraded to a normal room. The room was clean. The free deluxe continental breakfast was decent. They have free parking for guests, are very close to the beach, free wireless internet, and really good lemonade near the front desk. Yum!

Affordable, clean room with a bit of flair added for good measure. Great courtyard with a fountain. Overall, very tastefully decorated and intimate. I would choose this place over a larger hotel chain any day of the week! Parking now costs $4, but for the location, that's a great price.
