The GOOD:

--  Awesome location.  This is as close as you can get to Pikes.  I'm gonna guess the lobby is 45 steps away from Pikes.
--  Great service.  Helpful staff.
--  Super comfy beds.  Room size is good to great; depending on what's available.
--  There is a nice balcony which is a great area to read a book or just relax.

The BAD:

--  Price can be steep depending on availability.  Paid anywhere from $189 to $289.
--  I wish they had a royalty program.  It's a lot of money spent at one hotel so some type of royalty program would be a good perk.

A very nice hotel that's right across the street from the fish market within walking distance of everything downtown Seattle has to offer.
The rooms are spacious and you have a choice of a city view or a water view.
The room has everything you'd want, including a Tempurpedic mattress (my back thanks you).
It's a small hotel (only 72 rooms) which is another plus. No restaurant but just outside there is a courtyard with 2 restaurants who will also provide room service.
Nice hotel, nice staff, great location. We'll be back.

My husband and I traveled to Seattle for four days to celebrate our second wedding anniversary. Neither one of us had been there before, so we were looking for a fun place to play tourist and explore a new city. The hotel was in a great location, literally half a block from the famous "Public Market" sign at Pike Place Market. The location makes it so easy to walk over to the Market for breakfast in the morning and is really a great home base for all your touring.

Our room was fantastic. We paid for a city view and had a room on the sixth floor, facing Stewart Street. However, because the window bumps out a bit like a bay window, we were easily able to see out onto Elliot Bay. One of the highlights of our trip was sitting in the little bump out window, sipping local wine, watching an amazing sunset. Our room was quite large - we both were surprised at the ample seating area (sofa, coffee table and chair) and the large bathroom. The free wifi was great also. When we arrived in the room, the staff had left a little chocolate cake with a nice happy anniversary note. It was a great, unexpected touch.

The hotel has a nice "roof top" deck, which unfortunately it was too cold for us to really use when we were there. I could definitely see having breakfast up there during nicer weather though. The lobby is also nice, and we spent some time reading the paper by a nice fireplace while we were waiting to go to the airport.

If you don't have a car, the towncar service to go to and from the airport was a good deal and made the trip a little extra special.

My only complaint, and it's so minor, was that the front desk staff was not very helpful in suggesting "off the beaten path" things to do. We had covered the whole downtown area pretty well by our last day and wanted to venture into one of the surrounding neighborhoods (Capitol Hill, Queen Anne, etc.) The man at the front desk had no suggestions on where to go and gave us wrong directions to Capitol Hill, which was a bummer way to end our trip.

Overall, a great experience though. We will definitely stay again!

We were completely blown away by how amazing this hotel is! We stayed in a corner 2-level suite on our wedding night. My new wife was thrilled with the view...she just wanted to stay up all night and look out the window! We woke up the next morning, ordered delicious room service which arrived promptly, and walked to the market for fresh flowers and fruit. We took advantage of the late check-out time, and lounged on the deck as the view just kept getting better as the sun came out. I even snuck in some sports highlights on the 2 flat screen tvs! We are already hoping to return for our 1-year anniversary!

I would stay here every chance i can.  Perfect location, great service and amazing view from the patio.

It's a 3.9 star hotel that would be a 5 if it had a built in restaurant, pool and other ammenaties.  But definitely have 5 star service from all the staff and even have a towncar that they will take you to your destination free.

You walk out and BAM, you are in the scene.  Love the cute tucked away location, walking by Champagne restaurant, watching cooks do their thing.

A bit pricey, but if you are there for a special occasion, it's worth it.  Free wi-fi and parking (on promo), makes this place a better value overall.

What an incredible Inn; comfort, style, and location! The Tempurpedic bed, the clean and spacious room, the view, and the proximity to every exciting moment downtown Seattle has to offer. We felt so much a part of all of the things happening at Pike's Market and Post Alley, even from the balcony window of our 3rd floor room. Our stay was one for the record! The staff at the Inn were always present, but never intrusive; you had the feeling that they were anticipating your every need but were acutely conscience of your privacy. The location of the Inn is perfect. It is constantly surrounded by bustling activity both day and evening, yet the Inn and the staff always provided a calming environment. There is peacefulness about the Inn that grounds you the moment you step from the street into the entry. I'm planning my next stay and I look forward to the opportunity to refer my friends, family, and coworkers. Great Job Inn at the Market!

This place is amazing.  It's not cheap, but you can't beat the view or the service.  Above all, it's location is perfect, literally right across from The Market.  It's next door to some great restaurants.  My wife and I really enjoyed our time there.  Highly recommended.

I've always had great sex in Seattle and the Inn at the Market remains a standout memory for me. This romantic small hotel, aptly named, is situated in the heart of Pike Place Market. Though the charms of the market madness [especially on weekends] are right outside the front door, the Inn is a calm sophisticated oasis from the maelstrom of tourist-infused commerce on the streets below.

It would be foolish to come here with a lover and not take a room with a view of Elliot Bay, Pudget Sound and the snow-capped Olympics in the distance. Unlike some newly constructed highrise hotels, Inn at the Market is a sexy fun hideout for adults who want the pleasure of good food, spectacular views and romantic privacy in the heart and soul of the city.

Everything you need is right here: great food, vibrant neighborhood, and comfy cozy rooms that aren't vying for a photo spread in Dwell. Make no mistake, this isn't a five star palace but something better: a hotel that makes you feel warm, welcome and appreciated.

Great location.  Great rooms.  And the room service is from Campagne, so you can't go wrong with that.  But I felt the staff was really hit or miss in terms of quality.  Sometimes they were really helpful, and other times they seemed like they didn't care.  It was really odd and I couldn't quite figure it out.

I guess I would stay here again, but I was a little underwhelmed because of it

Is it a coincidence that my birthday and the Seattle Cheese Festival happen to fall on the same weekend? I don't think so :)

In order to be the first people in line for cheese we ended up getting a room at Inn At the Market on Friday night. Yes, apparently the 0.8 mile trek down from Capitol Hill was way too far!

The location of the hotel could not be better - right smack in the middle of the Pike Place Market. If you don't luck out and get a room with a view (sniffle sniffle) you can always head out to the rooftop deck and sit in the lovely teak deck chairs and while away some time sipping your coffee and strategizing your plan of attack on the the Cheese Festival!

The rooms themselves were nothing much to write home about. Tacky carpeting, Tempure Pedic beds (great if you're into it, I guess), ugly printed drapes, lighting in the bathroom that makes you work just a little harder to put on makeup to cover up those dark circles that you SWEAR you didn't have at home or before this latest birthday, and a gigantic air conditioning unit. Check-out isn't until noon and they'll extend it a bit if you ask nicely and let them know you aren't a morning person.

All in all it was comfortable but after reading the reviews here I expected something more like the Edgewater and it just wasn't quite at that level, but it was definitely comfortable and it is the perfect strategic location which to launch yourself into the Seattle Cheese Festival Frenzy!

I have a love/hate relationship with Inn At the Market.

Love the big rooms with a view.

Love room service from Campagne.

Love abandoning my plans to exlpore Seattle in favor of lounging in the down pillowed and comfortered bed watching the ever changing sky and the boats to-ing and fro-ing across  Elliott Bay.

Hate that they won't guarantee a view room at reservation (but we always got one).

Hate that Inn At the Market was instrumental in getting me to agree to leave SF and move to Seattle.

You're cool and all Seattle, but I'm homesick!!

(I know you're sick of hearing how homesick I am - alls I can say is - you will hear this ad nauseum every winter. Please direct complaints to huzbeau).

I Love/Hate Seatt... I mean,  Inn At the Market.

Cute boutique hotel with a view! Walking distance to fun touristy hot spots and local digs as well. Excellent service (although there was one gentleman who seemed to take like a little too seriously - not even a crack of a smile!), yummy apples, comfy bed (oooo la la ;) ) and great location!

Ahhh...what a lovely place to stay!  Hubby and I decided we needed a night away from the kiddo - so we asked the grandparents to stay and off we went to the Inn at the Market (even though we live in Ballard!)

We were immediately greeted with a warm welcome and an upgrade to a suite!  It couldn't have been a nicer room and we plan to make it a yearly event.

A beautiful hotel.  And, literally, a softball toss away from the Pike Marketplace.

We stayed here in early February when rain and high winds lashed the Pacific Northwest.  But we were warm, cozy, and very comfortable in our, surprisingly, large hotel room.

It is kind of a pricey hotel, though, as was the hotel's valet parking.

A place we'll return to when going to Seattle!

They we're rebuilding at the front, but things worked smoothly. The staff was helpful all the time. The room was excellent (although we didn't have a view).

We spent our first weekend ever in Seattle at Inn At the Market. What more can I say but that 2 months later, we moved here.
We were treated to a lovely suite that overlooked the sound--the view was breathtaking.  The ambiance of the place is wonderful... welcoming, yet private; elegant, yet comfortable. Very much a boutique hotel.
Just a block up from the Market, the location is perfect for a getaway, or treat your parents to a weekend NOT at your house.

Amazingly central location and quiet, boutique environment. Campagne' restaurant is across the courtyard, not to be missed for dinner.

Rooms are standard sized but suites are available. Recent remodel will please you.

This used to be my favorite hotel in Seattle, but that was many years ago, just after a remodel and before they'd replaced the cultured, hospitable reception and reservation staff with haughty toy dogs types.

Plea to the owners:
1.  Please put some $ back into the hotel, the Tempur-Pedic beds really aren't enough to compensate for the worn furnishings.  (I actually prefer McRoskey mattresses.)
2.  Replace or retrain your current reservation and reception staff.  I've experienced way too much of their personalities, and too little professionalism over the last couple of years.
3.  Update/refresh your website.

Fabulous boutique hotel adjacent to the fish market in Seattle. We stayed here for one short night before heading to Vancouver Island on our honeymoon, and we loved it. The service was great, and the front desk pointed us to a great spot for sandwiches at 10pm on a Sunday (not easy to do!) - the hotel had even put adorable chocolate covered strawberries in our room decorated like a bride and groom. This was a thoughtful and cute touch. We didn't have much time to explore the area around the hotel, but the room was very clean, we had a pretty view of the water/market and the bathroom was nicer than a standard hotel bathroom. We had brunch in the morning at the little breakfast place, which was tasty and hit the spot before our drive to the ferries.

Oh, and the hotel has a cool outdoor patio on one of the higher floors that offers really incredible views.

Great location, incredible views of Elliot Bay from the waterside rooms, and very nice staff, but it's an old hotel and the interior needs a few updates.  The water pressure in our shower was terrible.  The views almost made up for the water pressure issue, but I plan to ask them about their water pressure before I decide to stay there again.

I love staying at boutique hotels, they offer a much more local-centered atmosphere...compared to the Hiltons and Sheratons which look the same whether you're in Shanghai or Los Angeles.  Location was perfect, right in the Pike Market, which is great when you're on East Coast time, wake up way too early and need something to do.  Service was fantastic, they do an evening bed-turn over and leave a piece of chocolate for a late night snack.  Bedrooms feature Swedish tempur-pedic beds, a pretty large bathroom (at least on the 8th floor), and they offer a selection of WSJ, New York Times, Seattle Times or USA Today.  The lobby also has complimentary fruit, hot apple cider (in the evenings), and coffee/tea/cocoa (during the day).
