My husband and I just returned from two nights at the Inn.  It was our first time to visit this area and we were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful location.  It's nestled in a beautiful tree-filled setting behind and below Saratoga Avenue.

Our room was on the first floor.  It was very quiet and private.  Our room looked out a huge window to a beautiful path and wooded area.  Colorful impatients grow outside along the outdoor patio where we had our evening refreshments and morning buffet breakfast.  We also received a newspaper each morning outside our door.

Their food, while not the best I've had, was quite tasty.  No hot entree really.  But there were boiled eggs and a toaster for their bagels, along with fresh danish, assorted juices and fruits, muffins, 4 kinds of cereal and coffee and assorted teas.

Their evening buffet featuring white wines, crackers, cheese and veggie platters, etc., was a really nice prelude to our dinner out at local restaurants.

We noticed that we could not really hear any street noise even though its in close proximity to a busy street.  The plus side is that there are quite a few restaurants within a 2-3 block area.  The town of Los Gatos is just a few minutes away and there are many shops there if you want some small town shopping opportunities.  Saratoga is smaller and has mostly restaurants.

Their staff was very helpful and ready to answer our questions and do everything they could to make our stay enjoyable.

If you are looking for alot of personal pampering by an innkeeper, it might not be your thing because they do have approx 45 rooms. But it did not have the feel of being that large.

We plan to go back.  We liked it and felt it was a great value and a wonderful lodging experience.  It's hard to believe you are close to a bustling city.

For entertainment during the summer, check out Mountain Winery for top names in music.  Alot of guests who were at the Inn had tickets for the Sat. night concert at the winery.

Easy to get to. Close to Mountain Winery. Competitively priced for the area (which is expensive...but it was no more expensive than the other places in Saratoga/Los Gatos). This quaint little place has beautiful rooms with private balconys, garden/patio views, comfy beds, and huge bathrooms. Minus one star because, despite your best efforts to do otherwise, the water regularly changes temperature in extremes. If I go back, (and I hope I do), I'll just take a bath in the nice, big tub.

What?!   Are you kidding me?  I can't believe that not a single Yelper hasn't written about this amazing little jewel.
I found the Inn while looking for hotels near La Fondue.  I wanted to surprise my overworked hubby with a mini vacation - a scrumptious dinner and dessert followed by, uh, more dessert.  cough.  So off the toddler went to grandma's for the night...and all my hubby found when he got home was a card on his best suit telling him to meet me in Saratoga!
When I pulled into the parking lot, I was just in awe.  I've lived here for what, 7 years?  I had NO IDEA about this hotel.  It overlooks the park, and the first floor is at park level, with another exit/entrance at street level with downtown Saratoga.  So that means no trudging up and down the hill.  I parked in their lot (even the parking lot was well appointed!), parked, and went into the lobby.
Let's talk price.  Yeah, it's expensive, but not as much as if you were at the Hilton downtown or the Toll House, and this is much cozier.  When I had made the appointment, a very kind gentleman who was the manager made sure I got the best rate - and yes, I did check after I talked with him and no where else could I find a lesser rate.  Hmmm.  When I told the lady checking me in my story about my little vacation away from home, she upgraded me to a whirlpool king without telling me or charging me.  Wow.  Free newspaper in the morning, free wifi (not that we used it), a complimentary snack buffet and wine in the afternoon next to the patio (wow, sit and have wine next to the gurgling stream - it's like you're nowhere near town), complimentary breakfast, and non-rip-off prices for in-room snacks.  Impressive.
You bet if anyone asks, I'd say to stay here.
