You need a treasure map to find rooms; but will need more than an X. Its fun to discover different parts of the Inn.

Beautiful rooms with fireplaces, slippers, robes and mini bar.

I have only been there when people are in attendance for conferences. They usually choose blocks of rooms with massage services.

The golf course is gorgeous and nice to walk. Celebrity spotting is possible. My stepsister rescued Phil Michelsons (sp?) dogs one day.

Ah...I want to go there.

This is a review just of the restaurant and bar--both fine, fine establishments. The Inn is a beautiful, old-fashioned experience for people who are looking for the luxe feeling without putting an enormous dent in their wallets. The restaurant is pretty good--we're talking the $25-$35 per person range, not including alcohol--but you can get a very similar experience in the bar adjacent. We're talking big airy ceilings; wood floors; a nice huge lounge with fireplaces and big overstuffed armchairs; outside there's a huge porch with enormous fires running in the fall. Sometimes they've got live music. The food very good--I love the house chopped salads--and you can get a nice cheese and fruit plate in the bar. Good wines--I like the Sauvignon Blanc here. Nice place to come when you're looking for that "I'm special" kind of feeling.

Simply charming. It was a last minute stay and there was a wedding going on at the hotel so the occupancy was full, all but one room. I got the very last room available which was a Deluxe Cottage Room.

The non-smoking room featured a King size bed, with a sitting area, a wood-burning fireplace, and a kitchenette.  I can't recall whether we had a patio or not.  I got the instant feeling of country cottage living. Open and airy but totally cozy, I could've definitely stayed here longer than one night!

The hotel is Spanish Colonial style, surrounded by plush landscaping, and is the perfect place for a quiet romantic getaway.  Most rooms are located in charming cottage buildings connected by winding pathways (lovely for a walk), topped with Spanish-tiled roofs and is decorated with traditional furnishings.

The hotel is in the Village of Rancho Santa Fe, so it's just a short stroll to romantic restaurants, casual cafes for breakfast and lunch (I highly recommend Thyme in the Ranch), the market, bank, coffee, and boutiques

I recently came to the Inn on a weekend retreat for school and I was pleasantly blown away by how scenic and relaxing this place was.  I stayed in a single room by myself with a huge king size bed, private patio, tile floors, mini-kitchen, couch, and huge closet.

The maids came in twice a day and would always stock with clean towels and even turn on the night light when it got dark.  They focus on customer service here and it was apparent that they want to keep their customers satisfied.  Throughout the weekend, I loved their food.  We had catered food the entire time so I did not try the restaurant at all.  But what I did eat was excellent and again, I was pleasantly surprised.

The only drawback was that finding the room and check-in lobby was a little confusing.  Since the Inn is made up of little individual cottages, I was lost trying to find the main entrance.  However, it doesn't take much time to get familiarized with the place.  They have maps available.  The inn is around 4 miles east from the 5 freeway, and about 5 miles from the beach.

It is the perfect weekend getaway spot and very romantic.  Too bad I was there alone for business and had no one to share the romance with.  I guess there's always next time ;)

Great getaway spot in The Ranch.  Very quaint and comfy hotel with an array of different style rooms as options.  Have tried them all including the largest suite which while very beautiful felt like a furnished apt. that had that just moved out feel.  They have a nice restaurant that has many loved dishes in their repertoire.  Warm and inviting lobby with roaring fireplace and old books to enjoy.  In the spring they have a croquet match that resembles P-Diddy's "White Party".  Rolling green lawns are impeccably maintained.  Staff are well educated and "At your service Ms., Professional"!

This hotel is tucked away in the heart of Ranch Santa Fe.

My friend has an extended stay here, and I visited them quite often. The grounds are beautiful and kinda rustic looking. They have different types of rooms too. Some are in their main building and some are individual cottages on the property.

My friend had the superior garden room, which was individual and large. It had its own little front porch area with a table and chairs, The inside was larger then average hotel room. IT has a beautiful wood burning fireplace with the wood stocked on the front patio. This room also came with a mini fridge, desk, and huge bathroom. The barthroom was marble, separate tub and shower with double sinks. A very nice room and avverages to a little over $300.

The room service at this place was great. The burger is outstanding. Service was always nice and promt. THey also had warm cookies and milk in the room service menu, although they do stop service food at around 9pm.

I would recommend staying here if you want a relaxing scenic hotel. Rancho Santa Fe is nice, but a little hard to get to.

Fantastic!!

A rich history, excellent customer service, and phenomenal rooms make this little get-away in North San Diego County a prime destination.

Just driving into Rancho Santa Fe is for me an experience in it's own.  East of Del Mar, you quickly fade from Mini-mall suburbia to a forest of Eucalyptus. At the center is the hamlet of Rancho Santa Fe. A wonderful small community that holds onto it's "small-town" charm.

Now, onto the hotel. A Very private room with a wood burning fireplace. Private patio with a table and chairs. Very nice bathroom with a claw foot tub. Perfect for that romantic weekend with that someone special.

Mille Fleurs is right across the street. Better make reservations.

We'll be back. Again, and again and again.

This is my secret getaway hotel, when something goes wrong at the house - no hot water, termite tenting, etc.

Friendly, good service, nice bar, good restaurant.

What makes it, is the fireplace in your cottage (you did the cottage, right?)... I love this place in January or February.

Downsides are lack of room service, or much to do... or is that a plus?

I may be a little biased, I did get married here last year.  I love everything about the Inn.  Stayed here again recently to celebrate my one year anniversary.  I can't say anything bad about this place.  Quaint, private, quiet, relaxing, romantic.  Rooms are spacious with all the amenities.  Grounds are beautiful, food is good and the staff are helpful and pleasant.  I can't wait to stay there again.

I've never stayed here overnight. Have had lunch a few times. Its good. There is a 'fusion' menu, asian inspired. Its an old place, and has mostly an older crowd. There are some younger business people there, Smith Barney and Morgan Stanley are right there. The food is good, the service is good. Overall it was ok. It looks like a fun little hotel to stay at. Its very resort-ish.
