Not for the faint of heart.

Have you read "The Landlady" by Roald Dahl? Because this inn was right out of that story, minus the landlady.  I'm not kidding.  Well, maybe no(t many) stuffed animals.  But knick-knacks and old photographs and ornaments and wallpaper and dried flowers and white and burgundy and lace.  Someone spent a lot of time decorating the inn.

Stayed here during low (winter) season and had our room pick--we were the only guests in the inn! We got to do a tour, wahey, before picking a suite on the third floor.  I think it was a honeymoon suite because it had old(-fashioned) wedding clothes on the wall and a tray of (old-fashioned) romance and old photos of wedding-clothed people.   Good thing we brought the wii.  Tiny bathroom.  Oh, but separate sink (in the bedroom) and the bed posts had them curtain things.  Erm, canopy bed.  Nice.

The fireplace is fake and kind of funny.  But safe.  Eh?

Hosts Buddy and Keith were friendly and on hand for questions, kinda.  Breakfast is homemade and made-to-order (-ish) during the low season, or at least while we were there.  Made by Keith, who sat down to chat share.  That's cool.

Good for people who are into Victorian decor.
