This place must be synonymous to the word wedding. There were so many brides and grooms here.
The place is really clean and the staff were all very helpful.
They surprised my friend by upgrading her room to a bigger room on her wedding day and not to mention they add personal touches to the room with rose petals thrown all over her room.
My only complaint about this place is I hate the lighting here. I cannot get ready in incandescent lighting.

My room faced the train tracks, but the trains are not frequent on a weeknight in Great Neck, so I wasn't disturbed. The staff was very helpful (with restaurant suggestions) and diligent; a the maid must have noticed that I had a few lightbulbs out in the bathroom (I didn't noticed), he just came to replace the bulbs and was very considerate. The maid staff is very sweet and well deserving of a tip. This is a decent hotel, clean, relatively quiet and very close to the train.
Fresh out of college, I accepted my first job in the Pharmaceutical industry. My first business trip was to New York, Great Neck, specifically. My senior colleague recommended this location and it did not disappoint. In fact, I still measure each of the hotels that have followed in its wake from all my subsequent years of business travel against this standard.
From the photos that are still in my scrap book, the 1920 luxury vibe comes right through. From the beautifully lit vanity mirrors and the posh granite bathroom counter tops, it just screams of The Great Gatsby.
It is only 2 blocks from the Great Neck LIRR and less than 30 minutes from Manhattan.

Nice, simple and very well sized rooms is how I would state the Inn at Great Neck. My cousin got married and I stayed here for a few days and it was as easy as possible. Free wifi, LCD TV, DVD, CD player, Ipod boombox all in the room. Bed was comfortable, sheets were clean. Staff was friendly and it is only a few blocks from the LIRR. Will stay there again in a heartbeat.
