Oh Ink... How do I love thee? Let me count the ways...
1. Late night hours -- A place that closes at 1am, at the earliest, gets a star from me since I'm a bit of a night owl. Don't you hate it when your tummy is a rumbly around midnight? And after a night of drinking, we ALL get the munchies... THEY'RE OPEN TIL 4AM FOLKS!!
2. The price is nice, the portions are... awesome (what rhymes with 'portions' anyway??) -- I'm a huge fan of diner food. My #1 comfort dish from Ink's is the mac & cheese with hotdogs. The hotdogs is A MUST (and it's not your regular ballpark frank). And for about $9, it's the best $9 spent! The mac & cheese is deliciously cheesy without the extreme gooey so you don't feel like it's slowly making its way down your intestines and then cursing yourself an hour later.
3. The vibe, ya dig? -- On a busy night, there's gonna be a wait though they're pretty good at trying to sit you asap. On a recent Fri night visit, we were told 20 mins but it seriously only took 10-12. The decor kinda has an Ed Hardy feel to it but less douchey. The waitstaff overall is great -- I haven't had a crappy waitress. Sure when it gets busy it might take a big longer than normal but they are still friendly to you as much as possible (for those of you who haven't worked in food service, being a waitress is no walk in the park sometimes!). I judge a restaurant by how well they fill up your water glass and Ink's never had me waiting for my glass to be filled.
THE OC'S FINAL THOUGHTS:
- I scream, you scream, we all scream for spinach & artichoke dip! Ink's serves theirs with seasoned pita chips, which is like HEAVEN combined with their dip. GENIUS IDEA!
- Spicy chicken sandwich w/ bleu cheese, lettuce & tomatoes -- muy sabroso! This sandwich is en fuego and a definite must-try for those who want to tickle their taste buds. A big fave of my guy friends.
- They have a drink called the 'Porn Star' -- how can you NOT like a place with a drink called the 'Porn Star'??? Hey, they could've named it the 'Ron Jeremy' -- not as zesty :p
Oh Ink's... How do I love thee? Okay, 'love' may be too strong and I'm not as poetic as Elizabeth Barrett Browning, but here's my little diddy to conclude:
Ink Eats and Drinks...
May not be considered heaven
But hey, it sure don't stinks!
Ink Eats and Drinks...
You float my boat
All of the other just sinks! :)
Everyone deserves a second chance. My first experience was terrible, I wasn't a yelper back then and I mostly likely would have ripped them apart. However, many years later (today), I decided to give it another shot.
From beginning to end, the service was excellent. Efficiency is key, in my book and they didn't lack here. The bartender girl, took our order and two others would either clear or refill water, without being asked. The food was great on portion size, fresh and delectable. "good eats" indeed!
Style over substance here at Ink. That's not to say there's nothing good here, but that the style is so awesome! First off, I'd like to give Ink some props for being a great late nite diner for the my under-21 friends. Who needs a bar to have a good time? Especially when you can still get booze here!
The drink specials are great! $5 is an absolutely reasonable price for a good cocktail.
The food is decent, but really, you're coming here for the atmosphere. Adding to the atmosphere? Super friendly service. Definitely worth stopping by if you've got some friends and you don't know where else to go.
I am told this place is amazing after the club, when everyone's famished and not yet ready to call it a night. I, however, came here for the first time on a Thursday night, around 11, with a local who raved about what this restaurant could pull together at 3am. I was excited, because if there's one thing I love, it's amazing bar food. Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed. We ordered the calamari, artichoke hearts, sliders, a shrimp appetizer, and the hot dog mac and cheese. I can't begin to tell you how excited we were for the dishes we ordered, but we were sorely disappointed. None of those came close to what we thought they would. My friend, who had been to Ink many times after painting downtown Sac red and God knows what other colors, was disappointed in what he thought was a great spot, but I guess we either got dealt a bad hand, or it only serves good food when you're wasted and need some post-club munchies. I would compare it to a more eclectic, exotic version of Denny's with a full bar. Not the best spot, but good if you're fiending for some late night eats.
I went here for a pre-drink dinner with a friend. We were seated at a table and waited for our server. We waited a good 10 minutes before we decided to grab our jackets and sit at the bar. Although the server ticked us off, the bartender made up for it. She got our food and drink orders right away and she was attentive the whole time. I had the grilled chicken sandwich with avocado. The sandwich wasn't bad, but I've had better elsewhere for $3-4 less. Drank the beer and ate the sandwich...to be continued...
...After we had our drinks on at another place, we were again starving. Not too many choices after 2am - Ink is open until 4am. Bar was full so we had to settle on a high table. Again, the server was nowhere to be found. We finally waved and hollered at her to give her our orders. My friend and I both ordered the breakfast burrito. 15 minutes later, one burrito came. We asked where the other one was and she prefusely apologized because she accidently only punched in one burrito. 10 minutes later, the other burrito came. I wolfed mine down quick. I couldn't really remember what it tasted like. My senses were a little altered to judge whether it was good or not. Nonetheless, I ate the whole thing.
I'd most likely come back to Ink, but would only sit at the bar and only for a really late night dinner. The bartender was cool and from what I've heard, the other female bartender was just as nice. It also helps that this place is open until 4am.
I give a round of applause to Ink for being the pioneer in chic, late night places to get some grub. I think their selection of food is great and the food itself is also nothing to cry about. Unless you're crying in a good way. Go ahead. You can cry. This review can wait.
Anyway, this place is a friend to your whiskey-rinsed stomach ... but I do agree with Ryan R. about Muzak and tattoos: Ink is kind of ridiculously happy. Not in a bad, wanna-punch-you-in-the-face way, but in a whoa, what-Johnny Depp-movie-did-I-just-wonka-into way?
Oh and the bartender, Joel (I think this is his name), looks just like Billie Joe, the lead singer of Green Day, but you can spare him this compliment 'cause he hears it everyday (and he still has a spectacular personality).
Their drink specials are also not bad. Had a pomegranate twist on a Cosmo and it was $5 bucks. Coo.
INK... what can I say VERY impressed, the service could use a BIT of help but overall it was extremly pleasant. the boneless buffulo wings were very good JUST the right amount of spice. If you are looking for a change or resturants then INK is awesome, very artsy and awesome ambiance. GO CHECK IT OUT!
Who gives a crap about anything else at or about Ink except for the SMOKING HOT guy who works there as a bar back/bus boy!?!?! Fo real. I don't often gawk, but I gawked my a$$ off at this guy earlier tonight. I plan to visit Ink lots more just to look at him again, lol. Oh, and the food's not too shabby either. The turkey, carmelized onion and swiss dip was the bomb. Then put churros and vanilla ice cream together and this girl's a happy late nite customer. = )
Really good tacos , and fries ! YUMMM
add in a pretty good happy hour and the mimosa brunch my girlfriend loves and hells to the yeah !!!
Food is great and if I were only judging the food I would probably give atleast 4 if not 5 stars, but including service, my review drops to three and almost two stars. Ocassionally they will surprise you and the service will be decent, but my warning is to go to eat and plan on waiting a while to order, and plan on having to ask to have your water refilled, and plan on waiting even longer to get your bill when you are ready to leave.
For only $3, their appetizers are tasty and so are their drinks ($5 for cocktails). The service last time was really slow but that would be the owner's fault for only scheduling one bartender during Happy hour. The menu is kind of all over the place, and the food is good, but not excellent. We sat in the backroom and I wouldn't recommend it unless you like the claustraphobia of tight places and low ceilings.
This is yet another place that looks "upscale" on the outside but basically a decaying diner on the inside. I have only been there once and found their burgers to be almost as nasty as those at Lyon's. Perhaps I should give it another chance??
I went there the other night with my good friend, Olivia. The atmosphere was nice and the bartender was friendly. It wasn't very busy though. We came for drinks. I had a Newcastle, Olivia had the "iced tea," which had some sort of liquor in it, but not sure which.
The best thing was that we asked for a couple of samples of beer, one of Pabst and the other was Stella. The bartender had no problem providing those. I think they taste the same, and Olivia was sceptical, so we did a tasting. She switched them up for me so I could taste them blindly.
I grabebd the first beer and swirled it around to check for body and color. Then, slowly drank. Tasted...and switched to the next. Repeated the first two steps, with the same deliberation one tasting wine would use. The outcome?
I was actually able to tell the differance, but just slightly! The Stella had more "depth", tasted a bit more bitter. The Pabst, like water with beer in it. Classic, smooth taste I can always rely on PBR to deliver.
I gave this place 3 stars, but will update when I try the food again, since it has been a year since I ate there last. But the service was great.
Ink is my favorite late night eatery in Sacramento. Some of my favorite things to mow down after a night of debauchery are: the fries with a side of blue cheese fondue, sliders (mmm), the patty melt (mmm), mac n cheese. Okay I will say that everything I've ordered from here has been fantastic and satisfied my hunger for the night. A helpful hint: when the menu or waiter says that something is spicy, it is SPICY. Like, get yourself an ice cold glass of milk, fire-breathing spicy. But some of us like it like that.
The service is always great, even if the servers will never be convinced to sneak you a beer after 2am... I still like them anyway. My suggestion: don't take people's enthusiasm of this place, and set your expectations too high. I came to this place not trying to compare it to other related restaurants, or because I read it was good somewhere. I usually come here when my night on the town is coming to an end. The food never disappoints, it's better (in my opinion) than other late night dining joints, and the servers aren't disgruntled employees "putting up" with the crowd of drunkards. They are all really nice. I have no complaints!
Meh. I've experienced better.
Not a fan of the food. The fish tacos had way too much batter and not enough fish, the "beef" in the salad tasted like liver, the fries were too salty (and I prefer more salt than the average Jane), they have a menu option for a "seared chicken" salad. Um, seared chicken? I don't know about you but I don't like my chicken raw in the middle and nearly burnt on the outside.
The drinks were ok but not the kind you expect to get drunk on. I ordered some cucumber drink that lingered on the palate waaay too long. But they do have Guinness and Newcastle on tap, so points for that.
I think I'd come back here for some beers and the "hardcore" tattoo ambiance, but not for food unless I had to.
One good thing is that the booths fit 6 people.
Sliders were overrated. Sac Mag said they were a step up from White Castle Burgers.
While true, being compared to White Castle is never something to be proud of!
The french toast was my favorite. I barely remember what it tasted like because my friends and I scarfed this down so quickly. The burrito and the sliders on the other hand weren't so memorable. (French toast, burrito, and sliders in one meal? Yeah, it was a breakfast of fatties...) And by all means, do not get the meatloaf sandwich or the tasteless tomato basil soup.
Why is there no good breakfast around here??
Here's the thing. When I go into a place & their menu says "Triple Grilled Cheese Sandwich" I get really excited thinking about how much cheese is going to be on that thing. So I order it and I get even more excited when I discover that you can customize your order no problem and get carmelized bacon something totally unhealthy like that added to it as well. Then, my order comes and the noise "Wah wah" comes into my head as my sandwich looks no where near having triple layers of cheese. In fact it looks like barely 1 layer. God damnit, it's simply just a regular grilled cheese and not that great of one at that.
I give it 3 stars though because even though my sandwich was a major let-down, the staff was super friendly even though the group I went with are notorious for being picky orderers and I liked the vibe of the place. I didn't get to taste any of the drinks that day, but they sounded delicious.
I want to give Ink a 4 so bad. But I would not be true to myself, my beliefs, my morals, ethics and standards. Ink is a 3.5.
I went for happy hour on a Tuesday and was pleasantly surprised with the prices--$2/$3 beers and $4 apps, with the service--bartender was cool, the clientele--a few people(not crazy crowded or in your face), and the decor/ambiance--interesting concept, without being too overdone.
However, what kills a bar with a tattoo-shop theme is having the Backstreet Boys station on muzak as your bar music. Kind of a downer, and totally kills the mood. Like, if the "Small World" ride at Disneyland played Pantera instead of the "its a small world" song--except the opposite.
Normally that would not be enough for me to reduce a places rating from a 4 - pretty great, to a 3.5 - pretty good(kind of a wannabe), but the wings I ordered were total bullshit. Boneless whitemeat chicken nuggets warmed up and slathered in buffalo sauce are NOT "chicken wings".
Oh well, 3.5 is still a passing grade, I enjoyed myself and Im sure ill be back. I guess the only real disappointment is that Ink COULD be totally badass, its just not yet. So in that sense, Ink is kinda like people who wear 'Ed Hardy' clothes--they WANT to be badass, but they're not quite brave enough to ACTUALLY go the whole way.
After leaving that hipster party at Tune21 around 1am, We were taken to this location. This place reminds me of that scene on Pulp Fiction where they are eating at that restaurant. All I can say is, The food was extremely delicious. Only downer was that 2 of my friend's guests were extremely annoying so I left the money on table and went outside to hang out away from the annoying bitch and her husband... We ended up having more fun outside, chopping it up with the Mexican cooking staff. Orale vato, como no, Si por alli andan correteando, No manches. Jajaja
As far as late night eats go, this place is money. They've got a great menu and they're serving it late into the night. The bar portion can get crowded, so I'd recommend this place as a destination for post-last call food rather than a bar to hang around in.
The tattoo-covered staff is usually friendly, and the food is excellent. There can be a bit of a wait for a table late at night, but it's worth the wait.
I like this place; not for the food nor the drinks. I like this place for the ambiance. It wasn't loud nor noisy. The food I had were appetizers (which we all fried). They were pretty good. The service was nice even though it was very busy.
Pros: Ambiance, People, Service
Cons: Sorta Small
Rating: 3.75
Went here late at night with my girlfriend (at the time).
I ordered the Jambalaya, the gf ordered something else. (cant remember)
What is worse than not getting service at all? I'll tell you. Whats worse is sitting down and waiting for the server to come take y our order and when he finally does come, he wont make eye contact with you or ask you anything directly. In fact, it was like I wasnt even there. He was staring at the girl I was with and would only talk to her.
At one point he even asked her "Do you want a refill on that drink?" Even though it was the drink that was directly in front of ME. Her drink was full at the time.
On top of all this, my jambalaya tasted as if it were a TV Dinner and had been taken fresh from the microwave an set in front of me as if it were gourmet cuisine. Needless to say, I didnt finish my food or leave a tip.
I guess if you are drunk this place might be cool, but it is definitely not a place for fine dining.
I don't often go into tattoo bars, but let me tell you when I do.....I do it big.
Downtown Sac on a Monday night; I thought I would be inundated with places to park it for the night. I was a little thrown off to find that most of the happy hours, which are mostly brilliant in Sacramento, took place Tues-Fri. It's Monday night! NFL is on. Maybe Sacramento has turned Hollywood since the terminator has come in with his hoighty -toighty champagne wishes and cavier dreams!
Digressing.
So after being a half a block down from the Monkey Bar we decided to try Ink.
Lovely atmosphere. Feels a bit red and black when you walk in. We sat at the bar and ordered their specials which were a $5 Cab and some sort of flavored margarita. Both delish. The bar was full of bikers and business types all coming to gether in this crazy economy.
Also had the cornmeal encrusted artichoke hearts and the Sacramento sliders with carmelized onions. Oh, so good. Hit the spot.
I recommend this joint on a Monday night. You'll have quality service and a spot at the bar. And watch for parking around here. The signs are different on every single street.
When they just opened they had a bit of working out to do, but I have yet to have anything but a great experience here for the past couple of years. We went out the other night realizing with as much as we eat out late, they need to be on our radar more. The food was spot on and the drinks were wonderful. I ordered a caipirinha. The waitress was unfamiliar with it and I knew they would not have sugar cane alcohol but I always try. The waitress came back asking for a descriptive ans said the bartender Jackqueline would give it a shot. Jackqueline deserves 5 stars on her own. I gave a descriptive of the feel and body of a good caipirinha and said a light rum would be a good second bet. It was one of the best capirinhas I have had in a really long time.
I walked into INK and was amazed and instantly in LOVE...if only the food matched the ambiance. What great colors and creativity from the paintings to the choice of counters, etc. I don't partake in the libations but the wall display was simply amazing. Check out the images, if you want to see for yourself:
http://www.inkeats.com...
I'm sad to report that the food disappoints. The menu, albeit impressive...didnt do me right. I had high hopes for the descriptions but was let down on the delivery. Kinda dry, kinda bland. The service was friendly but slow when you consider that there were only 2 other patrons in the joint. Unless you count the 3 drunk stooges at the bar. But they were obviously pulling out the big bucks for their pre-holiday drunk-athon. Hence, all attention seemed to be on them.
The place was so visually pleasing, I will return to make another choice. My friend assures me the food there is usually amazing.
Three STARS for this visit...you are for sure one of the most original places Ive been to in quite some time!
Ink - I have tried very hard to to like you the few times I have been here....but sadly after the service I received on Thursday I will not be able to go back!
David O., my roommate and I came here on Thursday night so they could eat and maybe sober up. I had just got off a 6 hour plane ride and had been up since 4am so I had not been drinking and was not in the mood but I was hungry!
The hostess sat up in the little back room that had only 2 tables. They gave us water..and we stared our wait for the waitress. She finally came around after about 15 mins and took our order. She took the large group's next to us there order after ours.
We wait about 40 mins for the 4 appetizers we ordered to share and by this point we are starving! Finally food starts coming - EXCEPT it is for the table next to us that ordered way after. She says our food is coming. She comes back and gives them the rest of the food and says the same thing. Mind you - we ordered before them and most of the stuff they ordered was also the same as ours...we were pretty pissed. So after another 10 mins someone else comes out and gives us our food - she would not even bring it out to us!
She comes back eventually to see if we wanted anything else we asked for our bill - which we waited another ten mins for. We finally got the bill and we were waiting to pay - credit card out for 10 mins. We got up and waiting right were the hostess was. Our waitress walked by us twice and did not even acknowledge us. My roommate and I walked out. David O. actually paid for our late dinner. He actually gave her a small tip - which I do not think she deserved at all! Tips are earned..not expected.
I do have to say - I have been there many other times and had friendly waitress and the food came very fast!
Late night drunk food---but no nachos or anything???? BOO
All I ever want when I am drinking is mexican food and we came here and I said, man I can't wait! Let's order nachos!!! But no....no nachos to be had here, and then there was disappointed Sarah..... =-(
But low and behold they had buffalo wings!! So I ordered that everyone else got sandwiches and my buffalo wings were actually spicy and they paired pretty well with the bleu cheese dipping sauce. Kelly D. enjoyed her pulled pork sandwich a lot but her fries were just fries---basically like those fries that come in those orange bags in the freezer section of the super market, in other words skip the fries, and get more buffalo wings.
Their drinks here aren't super cheap either and be prepared to wait for a table because this place is small. But what do you expect for a place with a full bar that allows in people who are under 21?? Definitely a classier place than Dennys and the food is better too, but there is always a table at dennys...so choices choices...hmmmm
Oh ya, and it was my birthday and the bar tender didn't give me a free drink! That just isn't right! But it was a laid back spot to go to end our night, so all in all a great final touch.
All I can remember about this place was one waitress had some huge clevage spilling every which way, and I could not stop looking. I felt guilty afterwords.
The food was not good, but not much is open late so it gets two stars just for that.
my #1 pick for a patty melt. I've yet to have better! the ambience is super sweet. the menu is full of simple classics done right
the 5 stars is for the food... but the service could be better. definitely have your order ready cuz it might be another 10 minutes before someone comes around again, even if you're only 1 of 3 tables full. lame I know but the food and ambience are worth it =)
I can't help but love this here gem. I say gem because they serve food way late after hitting up some oat sodas down at Monkey Bar. Talk about hangover food before the hangover...
Anyhoo, I'm always satisfied after eating here. Not because the food is amazing, but because it's open after 2 am. But the food is decent. 3 star worthy, but plus 1 star for being so late night. I mean, when you're open for food and more boozin', maaan... you have impressed me.
I would give it a 5 bagger, but I got a liittle beef with one of the hostesses. Let's just say she's a pair of beach balls balancing atop chopsticks. NO ASS! Plus, she's got the 'tude of a hairless cat. Whatever the eff they are called... anyfuck, she gets 0.5 stars for the lack of cordiality and professionalism... and literally having no ass. No ass. Earn your minimum wage, broad. I mean... narrow.
I love Inks! One of my favorite places to eat in midtown....
Why?
The ambiance and decor in the place is unique.. I love it! I'm not a fan of tattoos but it's cool to see the typical tattoo art done as artwork on the walls, ceilings, etc! The place is small and cozy and the wait staff has always been friendly
Their food is awesome! I usually get the steak sandwhich but I've also had the Fried Egg Sandwhich. Soooo yummy!!!!!
I usually go during lunchtime so it's never too crowded or packed. It's a great place to meet up with a friend to catch up or chit chat.
You should check it out!
I'm not really sure what the big deal is about Ink. I've been there several times, during the day for food and at night for drinks. I know the inside is decorated like a tattoo parlor which is supposed to make it cool, but I actually think it's kind of overdone and cheesy.
The food is okay. The menu is really limited and there's nothing that is absolutely amazing about it. I don't really think that the prices are low enough for what you get. The best part about eating there is the bottomless mimosas that they serve on Saturdays and Sundays.
At night, this place turns into your typical bar. There's nothing special about it... but nothing awful either. Although, they could definitely use another restroom for us ladies.
I thought about giving Ink an extra star because its eggplant-colored booths matched the shoes I was wearing the other night for happy hour. But this isn't about me. It's about Ink.
They have a fun happy hour menu with all sorts of fruity flair. I went for my favorite: the mojito. It was served as it should: cool, crisp hint of lime, bright fresh of mint, and background of rum--icy cold. I could have easily slurped down a dozen, but don't worry, Mom. I did not.
That's because I didn't really feel like staying after I had the spinach and artichoke dip. I have had it before, and my memory of it was better. This experience was very bland. It was served with plain, white bread--not a buttery crusted baguette with a little crunch and flavor. No. Just plain white bread. It was bakery-style (meaning it wasn't Wonder), but it could have easily been Wonder bread in disguise. No good. Also, the portion was tiny. For $8, there was not enough to cover the amount of bread we were given. The dip itself lacked oomph. No hint of garlic or spice or even good ol' black pepper. It seemed to be mostly just mayo with some spinach and artichoke--maybe some lemon. Bummer.
I may return for the mojito, but next time, I'm ordering a different app.
There are two kinds of restaurants: the first is the kind that is yummy and delicious all the time; the second is the kind that is yummy because it is the only thing open and you're really drunk. Yes, it seems that your tummy can get the equivalent of beer goggles and convince itself things are better than they actually are.
Ink falls into the latter category of restaurants. As such, I appreciate it because it is one of the few choices available to a drunk person late at night.
It's not that the food is horrific here; it's just not that good. I did rather like the steak salad, but I think that had more to do with a love of cilantro than the amazingness of the salad. The dressing felt like it came out of a jar, but it could have been made from scratch. The salad was not bad, and I'd eat it again, but not truly memorable (as evidenced by the fact that I just had to look up their website to find it -- and it's not there).
The man got fish tacos. Now, I think fish tacos are rather meh anyways, but these were super meh. When something is called a fish taco, it should have healthy dose of fish in it, no? These, instead had a healthy dose of cabbage. There was a measly little offering of fish at the bottom, but it was bland and tasteless. Utterly meh.
The restaurant itself is fun. It's got a tattoo theme and interesting art. The waitresses are all funky and alternative, but really cool people. They also are very cute and dressed in short skirts and tight shirts. Good eye candy for when you're wearing the beer goggles mentioned earlier.
Some friends and I decided to give Ink a whirl after work one day and check out what all of the hype was about their Happy Hour...We were not disappointed!
Ink had a smorgy of different Happy Hr. food options a little something for everyone in the group...from wings to quesadillas to sliders to dips they all worked out just fine for our fancy!
Our service was quick when they were slow and fair when they were slammed, nothing to complain about there! Toward the end of the night the bartender had remembered what we were drinking and kept them coming...gotta love it!
I've been to ink on a couple of occasions and the experience so far has been good, but not great.
The atmosphere is cool - its all dark and industrial and the wait staff is known for their "alternative" looks. Though maybe I hang out with a few too many alternative looking people because the staff looks completely "normal" to me. Tattoos and piercings are slowly becoming the norm.
The fact that they are open till 3am on the weekends is good for people out late. Though beware the line to get in after 2am is ridiculously long, fortunately the last time we went we were able to phone in and reserve a spot thanks to an ultra cool friend. The food to me seems average - a variety of sandwiches, burgers, fries and some entree plates consisting of chicken, beef, etc. I recently tried the sliders with a veggie paddy - very delicious. Probably the best thing I've had at Ink so far. I haven't gone for drinks here yet, so I can't really comment on their bar.
Would I go back? Probably, if I exhausted my option for other late night eats or if someone in my group insisted on going there. Its wouldn't be my top choice however.
I have been here a total of 2 times. The first time consisted of mediocre service and pretty good sliders. They messed up my drink order.
The second time we sat at the table for about 10 minutes with people (including management) standing around talking. Needless to say, we left.
It's a neat atmosphere and if you have the patience to wait for crappy service, the food will be ok. At least if you get the wrong drink order, you can guarantee it will have some type of alcohol in it.
My tongue was delicious compared to the salmon jerky.
Don't order the Salmon Filet Caesar Salad. The "salmon" was as dry as a sand covered dirt clod on a chunk of sheetrock...ha ha ha, just joking...it tasted like shit. I should have bounced this plate as soon as the waitress brought it out but she was really cool and very pregnant so I bit my tongue. My tongue was delicious compared to the salmon jerky.
My only recourse is to let all the good folks in Yelp-land know what's up....power to the people!!!!!!!!!!!
Ink has a great atmosphere, good food, and an excellent waitstaff, not to mention some fantastic drinks. Always a treat, and I've rarely had to wait more than a few minutes for a table.
This is actually a fairly lame bar, with the "ambiance" of a swift kick to the crotch, but the food is awesome and the servers are always on the ball.
Typically i'll get either the boneless hot wings or steak with bleu cheese fondue, but i'll have them bring out fresh asparagus instead of fries. Good stuff.
