Neighborhoods: Northwest, LodoThis place definitely isn't for the cheapskates out there--but it's all delicious. Where else offers so many different kinds of chai?! The sandwiches, frozen drinks, and hot drinks are all incredibly tasty. The store is always clean, though sometimes it can get a bit crowded.
I wish this location had been closer to the rest of downtown, I would've gone there all the time.

Expensive, but not prohibitively. Cushy booths, plenty of power outlets - essentially a great place to get some work done and have yourself a turkey sandwich (with some amazing tomato pesto) and an iced chai. Only complaint is that lately they've forgotten it's almost summer... and that they have AC.

Generally when I'm in Downtown and need a little pick me upper I go to Ink. They have this drink called the black and white, that is espresso and white chocolate, and it is delectable. It does sometimes have the unfortunate side effect of making everything seem like a joke, but that might be because when I order it I am usually bordering on sleep deprived delusion.
Their smoothies leave a lot to be desired though. I think it's mostly ice, milk, and fruit.
Nonetheless, if you're hankering for some caffeine check out Ink.

This would be a total 5 star place if the service were better. The coffee is WONDERFUL! I am a total coffee snob. Their basalt roasted beans and special milk make this one of the best cups of extra dry cappuccinos I've ever tried. Problem: the service stinks. The owner was in the place and we were only one of two sets of customers. I would loved to have raved about the drinks...but he didn't even care to ask about the service. Additionally, the staff acted like it was an inconvenience to serve. If the service were better, I'd definitely be a loyalist. With this price tag, one expects at least a smile.

I heard a lot of buzz about Ink Coffee Company when I was staying at River Front Park a few months back. I'm a writer, a flanneur, a lover-of-coffee in all its various guises. (Not to mention chocolate croissants.) But come on! What's all the fuss about Ink? I agree with johnny d. about walking to Paris on the Platte. But I'll give Ink at Little Raven three stars because maybe I didn't go there often enough to fully appreciate its worth. (Does twice count?)

The coffee was better than I expected and I'm a total Starbucks whore. I get the same thing every day and I don't waiver, b/c everyplace else serves it differently and I hate change. (Anyone that knows me, knows that's total B.S., but it sounded really serious :)
I like the red, I like the location, and I like the coffee...what else is there to say? Coffee shop for coffee lovers~

Ok, I am also a total Starbucks whore, but I totally LOVE Ink. I have not been to the location on Little Raven but I did frequent the location on Lincoln before it closed. I remain bitter about that location closing shop -- but if you are in the area, please try Ink. You won't regret it. :)
unremarkable; a forgettable experience.
this is little raven i speak of.
i was once a solo barista in pioneer square in seattle. yes, this fact gives me liberty to comment about coffee shops. i never had the attitude these baristas have. perhaps they have cured cancer or are in platinum selling pop bands when not pulling shots.
if i were desperate for my morning double, hobbled by a hatchet wound to the calf, and within10 feet of !nk coffe shop, i'd walk the extra 200 yards to paris on the platte and get my drink there. ...and i don't even like their coffee...comprende?

Ink! is one of those coffee shops you just go to, because you need to get some work done, you're feeling happy, or you just feel like hanging out in Colorado's capital city.
If I may, I must coin a term to describe Ink!, and the only fitting term for the coffee shop situated on the outside of the heart of Denver is Inktastic! My personal experience was most undoubtedly different from others, but if mine was any indication of how the coffee shop treats its average customer everyone should be pleased. I went to Ink! with a mission of writing for writing's sake and observing everyone around me.
I ordered my coffee and crept into one of the booths in the middle of the shop. The regular business men and women were on their laptops facing the outside. They were making their phone calls, e-mailing their associates, and making plans for their next business trips. I sat comfortably on the leather bench with the high walls surrounding me. Two customers were working on a story for the newspaper, and a daughter and her mom were discussing the day's events at school. After unsuccessfully looking for a pen or pencil to draw, the mom and daughter gave up. I couldn't disallow the girl to draw so I quickly offered her a pencil. They were both grateful, and I was soon to be on my way.
It was one of those feel-good moments in life - not lending the pencil but relaxing in the coffee shop. It isn't high energy. It isn't wide open. The workers are nice. The customers keep to themselves.
I would recommend Inking yourselves if you're ever feeling like a good cup of coffee in a quiet setting. A lot of work can be accomplished, and a lot of relaxing can be had. If you do choose to take part, your life will be Inktastic!

The name of this place is a little confusing, Ink! doesn't make me think coffee, smoothies, & sandwiches.--it makes me think office supplies! Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised when I stopped in today. I ordered a Classico sandwich and a couple of smoothies. The sandwich was excellent! Although, the price was a little high, over $7. It was good enough that I'll return again (& I'm picky about my sandwiches). The smoothies were OK, nothing special, but much cheaper & faster than Heidi's (over $5 is ridiculous). The service was a little weird. The staff wasn't really friendly or professional--but, they weren't exactly rude either. If I'd only had the smoothies & the service, I probably would not return. But, the sandwich was good enough to bump this place up to four stars! I hope their other sandwiches are equally as tasty. Parking was pretty easy--Little Raven offers two hours of free parking which was a nice surprise.

I have taken a liking to this place since my first visit. I love iced coffees, and they have a great one called a frozen black and white....think chocolate and coffee. And think of me smiling! They also have great sandwiches and a superb caprese salad. Nice outdoor seating area that you can leash your dog friend (or any friend) up to to sit back and relax. Nice walk down 16th, stop here for a coffee, walk to the skate park and you've got yourself a nice mornin!
They're independently owned and operated, and they have an exclamation point after their name so of course I'm giving them four stars.
I am particular about my coffee houses. I really like to go to the artier, more comfortable ones where I can truly drift off and do some writing or think about doing some writing. This one, right on Riverfront Park, is okay. Love the red walls, but there's an identify crises at 'ink!' if I've ever seen one. The counter where the barista hands you your coffee looks like it's made of granite and frankly, has the look of an Italian Bistro. Don't get me wrong. I love bistro's but I prefer to keep my coffee houses and chic eating places separate. And I think that perhaps the granite counter is why the prices are taxed. I was surprised to see that my 20 oz. cafe au lait came to $3.08 (it's just drip coffee and a bit of steamed milk!)
My biggest complaint? The wooden stirrers for your cream and your sugar, come individually wrapped. Yes, it's more sanitary and you can be sure that no grubby fingers touched your wooden stick, but let's consider how yuppie and wrong it is that our wooden stirrers are going under cover. It kind of makes me sad, but I guess that's why I don't live in Yuppie Town aka LODO, because I think that non-individually wrapped stirrers make me stronger and if I get Bird Flu from it, well -- that's because I live in a crappy apartment on the wrong side of town, isn't it.
