Have you ever had Thai Body work done?
Does your body ache, hurt, or otherwise cause you pain? Do you work out and are still not able to get rid of the problems? Or, do you have medical stuff that causes this?
If your answer to the first question is no- the answer to the next series of questions does not matter, if you have a yes to any of them, ESPECIALLY- get yourself to Infuse.
I had a 90 minute Thai body work session and walked out feeling almost no pain. That in itself is almost unbelievable. The feeling lasted most of the night.
I was shocked. This was the best I have felt since being on a constant Dilaudid drip or immediately after a Fentanyl injection. INCREDIBLE. Natural Thai body work can do amazing things for people who live with painful conditions. The work itself is not painful, in fact, it is rather relaxing. Andrea is really good at what she does.
Infuse is a very comfortable space. It is warm, welcoming and has a great chill out factor. I have been to and practiced in many places. I like this one, down to the warm towel provided to wash my face after the treatment. The small touches make a big difference. They seem to have these down! -

I think Infuse is an amazing studio for beginners and is very inviting, but its limited schedule and small studio space deters me from becoming a regular here.
I came here over a year ago to take my first yoga class ever (when they were in their old space). I felt very comfortable and received good feedback from the instructors. I loved the introductory 10 days for $20, and fully took advantage and saw a huge amount of improvement from where I started.
I ended up continuing yoga at a different studio, but after a year, I thought I would come back because Infuse was offering a good one month unlimited special, and I had moved practically across the street from the Studio. I was not very happy with my experience this time. I found the space to be too small (even in a class with only 7-8 people I felt very crowded). The Infuse space is really just one big room, plus a bathroom, so the area for yoga is just partitioned off from the "office" area and the front door. I found this to be distracting because I would hear typing and the door open and close while I was trying to clear my mind and escape from the day-to-day.
I also found that it was not worth it to do the one month unlimited because they don't offer very many classes. The times didn't always work with my work schedule, and there wasn't much on the weekends, so I ended up feeling like I could only make about 3 of the classes a week, and they weren't always ones I wanted to take, therefore I would go to 1-2 a week. I wouldn't mind coming here on occasion for a single class whenever it fit into my schedule, but at $18 pop, it's pretty pricey.Comment from Andrea K. of Infuse Yoga Spa 9/26/2011

Went to another Jerry M class - Yin Yoga - this past Friday at the new space and was totally blown away! I LOVE the new location - what a welcoming, open space. It is super easy to get to as well, but appears tucked away on Wrightwood. Overall, a very good vibe.
The class itself was amazing as well. I love Jerry's style of teaching yoga - very honest and likeable. She's open about her struggles in her practice, so it feels ok not to be able to do something or look stupid trying...haha. I particularly enjoyed the yin yoga class because almost no one else has them and its a style i've been trying to practice more and more! I found it to be a fairly intense stretch and a good workout but also one of the most relaxing things I Have ever done.
I'll be back again even sooner this time!1 Previous Review: Show all »

I've tried everything at Infuse Yoga Spa except the yoga!
I am an avid fan of Arbonne products and that all came about from a spa party that I attended at the old studio space. I've gone on to host my own Arbonne parties with Andrea, the delightful owner of the studio, as well as be a guest at several functions she has held at the new studio space. My skin and I love Arbonne!
I recently visited Infuse for some Thai body work and was overjoyed with the experience! I have an extremely physical job and it's sometimes hard to find the right balance between a massage that is relaxing but also intense enough to work on the problem area's throughout my upper body.
My entire experience was fabulous from the moment I was lead into the relaxing and welcoming treatment room with the faint smell of essential oils wafting through the air and the light din of soothing music to the massage itself which to my delight seemed like a lot longer than the 90 minutes I signed up for and finally the delicious water I was brought at the conclusion while we talked about my first experience and the great tips Andrea gave me for loosening up at home on my own between sessions.
I will definitely be making a Thai body massage a monthly must as I am still feeling relaxed and free of knots almost a week later.
Now I just need to get my butt into the studio to try out some Yoga! -

They're small and they like it that way. I do, too.
What Infuse Yoga Spa lacks in size, they make up for in doing the little things the right way like small classes and personalized attention.
My Refresh yoga class with Jerry (taught on Tuesdays at 7:30-8:45pm) was excellent. I'm still a yoga neophyte and, if I'm being honest, pretty inflexible, so I was a bit nervous that I wouldn't fare well in the class. Jerry, however, makes sure your poses are done correctly. No shyness here! She's not afraid to get in there and adjust your body to make sure you're in the correct position. I like that. She's patient and calm. It makes for a great class.
The studio was pretty sweet, too. It's very small (class maxes are around 12 people), smells nice (I'm that's due to the incense, oils and candle type things around the studio) and it's nice and toasty (a comfortable 80 degree, I'd say). The waiting area has some comfy chairs to chill out and relax in before you start class.
After class, I was treated to a cup of yummy, spicy hot tea. The gal at the desk also gave me information regarding booking future classes online (already done... it was a breeze!) and purchasing packages of classes to get discounts.
I really like this place. I can't wait for my next class on Tuesday!Listed in: Work It Baby. Work It, Own…

I'm not much of a yoga girl but I have taken a few classes with Yelp's resident yogini, Jerry M., and when she invited me to partake in one of her classes at Infuse Spa I jumped at the chance.
Infuse Spa shares it's space with a chiropractic office and the entrance is slightly confusing, but once inside I was greeted by a friendly smiling face. I filled out my new client paperwork and was immediately offered some ginger and lemongrass hot tea while I waited for my class to begin.
The waiting room has some big comfy leather chairs so I curled up inside one of them and got comfortable while sipping my tea. Did I really have to go do yoga or can I just hang out here and read my book?
The yoga studio is very cute! It was intimate, soothing and smelled nice. They had plenty of mats, blocks, and straps for class use. If you haven't taken a class with Jerry, I highly recommend it. She's very informative and a great instructor for those of us who don't know anything about yoga. I went to her Refresh yoga class and it left me relaxed and energized all at the same time. I'm not sure how that's possible, but it is.
Infuse Yoga Spa also has some cute items for sale, like toe socks. Imagine fingerless gloves for your feet with little rubber nubs on the bottom to prevent slipping. I'm definitely going back for a pair of those! They also had soaps and lotions, loose teas, and tea pots.
Infuse Yoga Spa is such a great little gem. Give it a try! -

Yesterday was my first time at Infuse, thanks to Yelp's resident Yogi, Jerry M's Refresh yoga class! Infuse is a small Yoga studio that can accommodate about 10 yogis at a time. It's designed for individual attention; and the small, clean, peaceful room made it easy to see and hear the teacher's instruction.
There's no reason to BYOM, bring your own mat, as Infuse has very clean new mats for everyone! Jerry's class on Tuesdays from 7:30-8:45pm was invigorating, but also relaxing. I'm always worried about evening classes getting me pumped up, preventing easy sleep, but I slept like a baby afterward!
Infuse also offers Thai massage, and "In Between" pay-what-you-can yoga classes. These midday classes are perfect for those affected by unemployment; and what better way to get focused than a yoga class during the day!? I will definitely be back to get my "Om" on at Infuse! -

If you're not looking for it, you might just pass it by! Please know that the studio is nestled inside a chiropractor's office!
Anyway, the studio was very small, quaint and the perfect size for a beginner like me. I too, took a class here with Yelp's favorite Yogi, Jerry M (who did a fantastic job teaching and helping this klutz figuring out what to do!).
Tea is always offered, and the entire staff here is just so darn sweet, and helpful!
This is the most perfect location for a newbie to get their Yoga on! -

This place is all about laid back intensity. Meaning, the staff do a great job stretching you out and pushing you to the edge of what you can do *without* you feeling like they're pushing you at all. They effortlessly foster this chill mentality among the other attendees too. Great for wary beginners (like I was) and for seasoned veterans (like I'm hoping to be).
My first review, had to give this place its kudos. -

I really wanted to like this place. On their website, Infuse makes some enticing promises (i.e. individualized attention, pro-community attitude, etc.), so in theory, Infuse should be a great little spot to practice yoga in. Unfortunately, I found the atmosphere at Infuse to feel oddly stuffy and inhibited, which is quite the opposite of "yogic." On most days I found the owner to appear very anxious and uneasy....this left for a weird vibe.
The majority of clients at Infuse appeared rather new to yoga. Some of the staff seemed new to teaching. Sometimes staff referred to yoga poses by incorrect names. Overall, staff did not appear prepared to nurture the practice of long-time committed practitioners. It struck me that Infuse makes their business off of new practitioners of yoga who wont know what they are missing...
The temperatures in the yoga room were extremely cold. While the room is well maintained and clean, the extremely low ceiling left for a claustrophobic feel.
A big deal breaker for me was the erroneous billing I received (I was charged $750 in error and had to wait several days to be refunded). This alone wasn't the end of the world for me (mistakes happen) but I was very put off when the owner went on about how stressful this was "for her."
A final deal breaker occurred when the owner pulled me aside and asked that I refrain from modifying yoga poses (which I have done to keep my body safe). Any good yoga instructor will tell you that it is important to listen to your body and adjust your poses to keep yourself safe and happy. When I was more or less asked to "stop listening to my body" I knew it was time to leave ASAP.Comment from Andrea K. of Infuse Yoga Spa 3/4/2010

This is the best place for beginners... I had never done yoga and had always wanted to try but the thought of being in a huge room with tons of people who knew what they were doing intimidated me. Then I found Infuse Yoga Spa. I joined up for their yoga 101 class (highly recommend for beginners) in October of 09 and haven't stopping coming since.
This studio is located in Butler Chiropractic Office and when you walk in it does look like a waiting room, but then you are immediately greeted by the friendly staff at Infuse. Once you leave the waiting room area and get into the studio you are totally engrossed in the Zen yoga feel. The Studio is small and can only accommodate a maximum class of 12 people. This is great for me because I feel like I get more personalized attention in my poses. After class you are always treated to a nice cup of tea which is so perfect after a yoga class.
I cannot say enough about the staff at Infuse. They are so friendly and accommodating. I have recently had some problems with my online account and Andrea the owner has been so responsive and accommodating. It truly is a great experience at Infuse and I highly recommend it to anyone that wants to get into yoga or has maybe been out of the practice for awhile. -

Love, love, love this place! New spa awesome vibe. Great place to go when you want to unwind and relax.
What I've tried so far and highly recommend is the Thai Body Work with Andrea. Soooo relaxing and apparently awesome for my skin. This is because along with the massage she applies these herbal compresses that help heal sore muscles and have health benefits for the skin. I've had Thai Massage before but never before with the herbal compresses so ask for them for sure! They can be dried and used for your next session and believe me, you'll be back!
The other thing that I keep going back for is the yoga and tea-tasting. A great thing to share with a friend and if you bring one they get to come for free. Must have teas are Almond Yoga and Mayan Xocolati! The two times I've done this Christy was my yoga instructor. I really enjoyed her class and the music she played. Plus, the studio has eco-friendly yoga matts and props, that are very clean. After the yoga, we all sit in a circle as Andrea makes us tea with "special water" and we got to try like 3 teas. Andrea is very knowledgeable and knows all about the benefits of the tea and how to properly brew them.
Be sure to look for freebies, special offers and discounts on products. That's how I got my free Energy Healing with Morgan and it was a great experience and something that I would come back for.
So check out this place for sure and when you do have a tea for me, it will be waiting their to greet you when you walk in the door. -

Very friendly and welcoming staff. I especially appreciate that Andrea is one of the most unpretentious and down-to-earth yoga teachers I know.
(we agree that yoga is foremost a physical exercise, not some bogus spiritual seeking device)
The place is very clean and well kept, offers plenty of great specials and community events.
For some people who find yoga places in Chicago being too perfectionist and intimidating, Infuse would be a wonderful place to go instead. -

I came here for about 4 months at the wrightwood location. I loved the classes and instructor Lauren Z was my favorite. My only downside was classes were eliminated that I loved the most or times changed. I work best with a set schedule.

I've gone to Infuse Yoga Spa off and on for about 6 months. I recently went to their brand new studio on Wrightwood and love the new space! Andrea, the owner is an amazing instructor. I always feel relaxed, fully stretched and challenged during each yoga session. It's a small studio where the instructor knows you by name, asks if you have areas you want to work on, etc. I have recommended this studio to all my Lincoln Park friends as it is truly a gem in the neighborhood!

The 90-minute thai massage with Andrea is definitely worth the splurge. Being fully clothed during Thai massages allows the therapist to address troublesome but "personal" areas (i.e. inner thighs, glutes) that many traditional sports massages may avoid. Andrea's physically strong and able to go in for the kill on tight, stressed muscles or coax less ambitious muscles into greater flexibility. She gets the info on the problem areas before going to work. The only sounds during relaxation are one's own breath and the stereo. Andrea always gives me stretch/ release tips after each session. She even emailed me exercises that will help me release tension and keep limber!

This is a very special yoga studio. Classes are small, teachers really know their stuff but are friendly and have great senses of humor, and they give you attention. Great music during the classes. I love Dawna's teaching approach--holistic, entering poses dynamically, in tune with the seasons. There's usually tea afterwards. A little bohemian gem in Lincoln Park!

Infuse is truly a place to unwind...
As a newcomer to the practice, I'd always been apprehensive about taking up a yoga class at a gym, as there were sure to be a ton of people in the class--all of whom were probably more experienced. The small class sizes that Infuse offers had me sold from the very beginning , as this allows for individual attention from the instructors all while providing a quiet and peaceful ambiance.
I embarked on my yoga journey by taking the Yoga 101 classes with Christy; her teaching method and energy instantly got me hooked onto the practice. Upon completing that series, I've since also taken the Refresh and Restore + Yoga classes. I can honestly say that I'm always excited about each class.
My enthusiasm for the practice is attributed to this studio, and I cannot imagine going elsewhere. The small things that the studio offers it's clients such as the hot tea served at the end of each class, the wonderful smells, the fact that they can wash your mat if you'd like them to, and more importantly the individual attention that you're guaranteed to get from the instructors keeps me coming back for more...nothing tops being able to establish a relationship with an instructor that can identify your growth and continue to push you to reach your goals. -

I have always really enjoyed my time at Infuse. I recently attended a "Relax" yoga class and realized I need to start relaxing more often. The poses were easy. Because the class size was small, I didn't feel embarrassed. I have also been to a tea and yoga party and really enjoyed it. It's a fun way to get a group of girl friends together.

Highly recommended! Infuse yoga is a gorgeous studio, and Andrea is a fantastic instructor! I LOVE the Thai Yoga fusion class. The incorporation of the thai body work helps to get deeper into the yoga poses, and gives a new perspective and understanding of the traditional yoga asanas.

I've been to several of Christy's classes and they have all been great! She is very knowledgeable since she is also a physical therapist in training. Lots of personal instruction because the classes are small (no more than ten). I signed up for her detox series and can't wait for that to start. Overall, Infuse stands out because it is so wellness-oriented. They have lots of great stress relieving products and therapies available, which complement the yoga beautifully.

I love infuse. It is a small studio, so you get much more attention than some of the larger studios in Chicago. I have some prior injuries, and they are so helpful at giving me modifications if I need them. I have taken classes from Andrea, Christy, and Jerry, and they are ALL fantastic! Thanks, infuse!
