If you need a haircut, this place is fine for that. The ambience is nice and they offer tea and water with your service.
If you need a color and have dark hair do not go to Carmen. The dye will come out uneven and it will not be what you wanted. I initially came hoping for a pastel purple color with virgin black hair. We had a consultation and she said it was possible in one session. After the first session it was red, blond and one strand of purple. I had to come back for a customer service appt which was another 5 hours and she still couldn't get to the pastel. Instead of admitting that she could not do what she was promising she could do she kept pressing forward. She admitted that she watched a video on light colors and had to ask the stylist next to her how light she should approach my hair because she had more experience with Indian hair. Indian hair is not textured different than blond or brunette hair it's just a darker color. She should not list vivid or fashion colors in her bio if she can't obtain it. The second session resulted in purple, but a top layer of brown all over again.
I trusted someone with my hair to dye it for the first time. I'm disappointed that they did not know the limit of their skills to do what I asked for. It is a whole different discussion if they said this is going to take multiple sessions or we can't get you to pastel. I'm glad I didn't dye all of it because at least I can grow it out and cut it off. I haven't been to other stylists and other customers seemed to like their colors but be wary if they can handle dying dark hair unless you are aiming for an uneven brown.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Madi S.Cincinnati, OH135699Jun 13, 2023

Short story: Don't go here for a spa experience- the staff is unprofessional and try to bully you into tipping.The worse experience ever!!! I arrived on time for my first appointment. 30 minutes later I was still waiting. No explanation, no apology. No one seemed to care at all. I left. Very unprofessional.

I started going to Industry simply because it was up the street. But now I couldn't imagine leaving. I have seen a few stylists and they are all amazing. They do amazing work on blondes (which can be hard) and they are so easy to work with.
They are always listening to me and trying to get exactly what I want! I'm usually not a huge Aveda product fan, but I'm willing to overlook that for the talent at industry.

Aug 14, 2020Previous reviewI made an appointment last minute, and got paired up with Brook. She was amazing. Everyone was so nice, and this is the first time that I have loved my hair when it's finished in a long time. It's worth the price to get your hair colored here. It's calm and welcoming. I think I have found my new salon home.

I love Industry. All of the staff is so wonderful and kind and I feel like I am giving my hair the best treatment possible by coming here. Aveda products are such great quality and they smell fantastic. All of my ideas are heard and respected. I would highly recommend Industry salon and all of their services to everyone.

Don't go here unless you want to be cheated out of your money. My sister stopped by with my nephew and asked them how much a haircut would be. They told her $28.00. One week later my nephew showed up for his haircut ad was charged $45.00. I called to question this and was first told that their prices had been increased during the intervening week. I was then told that my nephew was charged $45.00 because his hair was longer. Funny that is not the price they quoted him when he stopped in a week earlier with my sister. If you are not going to honor your word, you should not be in business.

I'll be the first to admit that I wasn't ever really someone that cared too much about my hair, so going anywhere but a Great Clips was definitely a new thing for me... but OH MY GOSH I can't stop coming back to Industry. I've been seeing Jessica every few months for a year now and words cannot describe how great I feel about myself when I leave her chair. She is the absolute sweetest and is so much fun, but above all she truly listens to what you want and makes you not only look great, but feel great. I'm definitely someone who prefers more "edgy" styles and cuts, and a lot of other stylists at other salons don't really get that, and I end up with a less than satisfying result- Jessica totally understands it though and brings your visualization to reality.
The salon overall is so amazing and the atmosphere is so welcoming and relaxing- I brought a friend for emotional support for a big chop and now she's wanting to book an appointment! You're always greeted with a smile and offered something to drink, and the products smell amazing and fill the entire salon- my favorite part. The prices are MORE than fair and honestly I'm surprised they don't charge more.
I just got my hair cut today by Jessica and it was such a huge chop for me, so I was definitely a little anxious, but as always she listened to what I wanted and gave me tips on how to take care of it at home. I was nervous to try this salon, but so glad I did! Carmen is so talented ! I showed her a picture of the cut I I wanted & she made it happen. Love it! I will booking again with her soon for color & am sure that will turn out just as great!

I went to this salon about 5 weeks ago for a root touch up. I have black hair and left with brown roots. New stylist, first time so I decided to give her another try. Tonight I went back to get a full color and bang trim. They booked me a root touch up and a full cut. That was the first problem. Then she left my bangs in such bad shape I will be wearing a headband for weeks...
She offered to give me a number to call....I don't have time to call but that is the ONLY way I would be compensated, best she could do is not charge for the bangs she said...
So now I have bad bangs and roots that still don't match with a salon asking for more of my time when I already wasted an evening on bad hair and an inaccurate booking from the start. I went in to get a trip, I told the woman not to cut to short, my hair is naturally curly and will shrink up!
So I said a half inch, she cut it dry, not wet and chopped it off! I mean when someone tells you exactly what to do, then to be ignored completely!!Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0
