To be fair, I'm a big fan of dive bars, but the old Copper Door was just a little too run down and dirty for me.  I was pretty happy to see it had been reincarnated as the Industry Lounge and was now home to All-You-Can-Eat Tacos every Tuesday.  I have to admit it's been a long time since I've had a non-authentic, American hardshell taco.  Chasing down with a couple of PBR's was blue collar perfection in a blue collar neighborhood.

The Industry Lounge is a pretty standard dive bar; a few tables with steel-framed cafeteria chairs, an internet jukebox, a few decent beers on tap, and a lone bartender struggling to keep up between bar and kitchen duties.

A few weeks ago my husband told me one of his coworkers was having a going away party here. Honestly, I was less than enthused. I had been by this place numerous times and it looked like a total dive. Not the kind of place you could get a good drink, not even a good beer. But I went because marriage is all about compromise right?

How wrong I was. This place isn't bad at all, I had a pretty good time. They have a full bar and a menu of specialty drinks. There was Manny's on tap and maybe a Rouge beer, along with PBR and Bud Light. If nothing on tap looks good to you they also have fairly good selection of bottles. While I was checking out the bottles I noticed they had jello shots for $2. That's something I don't think I've ever seen at a bar before. Oh, and our bartender was really great. The drinks came quickly and he chatted with us a bit.

Don't expect great ambiance here. Like I said, it's kind of a dive. Also, you might have to listen to some bad karaoke (I heard a rousing rendition of 'Lady Marmalade'). But on a Friday night it wasn't crowded and I could actually carry on a conversation with the group without having to scream.

I've only been here on a Tuesday for lunch, and I can recite the menu from memory: Tacos (all you can eat).  The tacos come in one variety: in a crunchy shell with "taco seasoned" ground beef.  Then you head over to the fixin's table and add cheese, sour cream, tomatoes, lettece, and Pace Picante salsa.  We found some Sriracha on the side too, which was a nice little pick-me-up on the tacos.

A pitcher of PBR (which definitely tasted fresh) was only $7.

The person working, Nancy, was really nice and kept our all-we-could-eat tacos coming.
