Indigo
3 reviews for Indigo
It was my first time at Indigo and it was a very pleasant experience. I was greeted and shown where I could get coffee or tea and there were lots of magazines to choose from. My stylist, Rob, introduced himself and showed me around the salon.
The view in the main floor area is gorgeous. There is a view of Lake Champlain and yachts outside the window. It's right next door to the Shanty Restaurant. FYI (Don't park in the dirt drive, you'll get towed).
I told Rob the kind of cut I wanted and was used to getting (razor cut with flipped ends) and he did an awesome job. I'm from the San Francisco Bay area and I've gone to a professional salon for the past couple years. He did an even better job than I'm used to. AND get this...it was only $25.00. I'm used to paying about $50 not including a tip. I know, I'm crazy for paying that, right.
I'll definately be going back to get my hair did there from now on.
I went to Indigo because I wasn't headed 5 hours to my parents home any time soon, and a friend recommended Indigo and the reviews on other sites sat well with me.
The lady that cut my hair was nice...but I would never go back to her. Don't get me wrong she gave me a good clean up cut. She didn't make me feel very good about using certain products on my hair.
I also asked her about dying my hair, I wasn't to keen on hers and she was really pushing me to have it done, so when i paid they i said i would call back..but i never did.
It was an ok experience, I would go back but I would want some one else to cut my hair.
Overall the woman just rubbed me the wrong way which made it an ehh experience.
I loved Indigo when I lived in Vermont. First Nathan and then Jesse did beautiful things to my hair. The gleaming hardwood floors were a real pick-me-up first thing in the morning and the view over the water (or ice, depending on the season) was a great thing to look out on as the magic was being done. I've also heard that they do a mean up-do.
It's the best hair salon in Vermont.
