    I love this place.

I love it so much, I got married here!

The IAC is a great venue, inside and out, but especially out. We still make our way here from time to time to walk around the grounds and even check out the rotating exhibits inside.

They also allow the annual Indiana Microbrewers Festival to spill over into their space so how can I give them any less than five stars?!?! Beer-friendly=automatic awesomeness.

The Broad Ripple Art Center is the most interactive of local museums. I say "museum" because they have plenty of resident students' art on display. The grounds are beautiful, and decorated with installations that museumgoers can enjoy--from the sounds that are triggered by visitors' walking up the front sidewalk entrance, to the large art edifices of stick-made shelters.

If you've ever wanted to learn to blow glass, this is the place to do it! Sometimes you'll see people doing just that on a lazy Saturday if you walk through. Sometimes you'll catch a wedding reception. This definitely feels like "the people's" art center.

Just when we think Indy has it all, we find out it has even more! This Broad Ripple Riverside locale is a sweet, sweet respite away from the bustle (yes...bustle, Indy has bustle, re: College & Broad Ripple Ave).

Housing a gift shop for off-beat...ummm...gifts? Gifts. Cards. Art supplies.

A free gallery with local artists, and artists from the classes & studios at this very art center.

Having said all that...it's the landscaping and outdoor architecture and sculpture garden that set this Art Center apart from any other art center, and really any other place in Indy.

The riverside sculpture garden and lawn is to Indy what the Ramble is in Central Park.

An incredible wedding reception, or any gathering really, location with it's outdoor/indoor facilities.

A true testament of a people's place to gather, peacefully, and wander, or sculpt, or paint, or loaf!

I've driven by the Indianapolis Art Center dozens of times and I've never really stopped to look.

A friend invited me to a glass hearts class last weekend at IAC and it sounded interesting.

The class itself was okay, not what I expected but still interesting and fun, and I'm interested in taking other classes there.

The building itself - I will be back next week to check out all the neat stuff! What a gem to have in the city of Indianapolis!

The IAC, centrally located on the north end of Broad Ripple, is one of the coolest buildings in the city. The grounds are absolutely awesome, and the center is the host of the annual Broad Ripple Art Fair.

Also offering year-round art classes for youth and adults, this is a great place to check out if you're interested in developing an art hobby. I know they have several different classes for different levels of skill.

Even if you don't go and sign up for a class or peep their galleries, it's worth a walk around the grounds on a nice, spring or summer evening. I recommend adding it to your cultural calendars.

I used to take drawing classes here a few years ago and loved it! The teachers are very knowledgeable and I learned a lot. I would love to take another class here in the future. They're a little pricey,  but worth it.
