One of my top restaurants! I've always experienced extremely WONDERFUL service here. I've never eaten at the restaurant, though... Unfortunately I don't have many friends that love indian food like I do, and it seemed every time I got food from here I ordered take out. I always get the chicken tikka masala with plain naan and it's wonderful from this restaurant! They're very liberal with their portion size when you order to go, and as mentioned earlier, if you have to wait at all, the staff is very friendly and wonderful!
EXCELLENT INDIAN! I was in San Antonio for 2 weeks for work and went to lunch at India Oven 3x. I'm not a buffet person at all but everything on the lunch menu was really fresh, including the garlic naan, chickpeas and the pakora. The tikka masala had the best flavor ever. I'm not a big tikka masala fan usually! Loved it, will be back if my travels take me there again!
perhaps this is because this is the first place i fell in love with Indian food but, of all the Indian food i have had in San Antonio i will say hands down this is the best I have had. nothing I have had here is bad. even the milkshake is better than I could find at a diner. ha! my FAVORITE of anything on the menu is the chicken spinach sagwala. which is the delicious Indian dish with curry, yogurt, and spinach mixed with tender chicken pieces, and a side of awesome garlic mushroom naan (which is the first place in SA i have found mushroom naan). oh my god! is there anything better? a close second to that would have to be their Chicken Tikka Masala. all i can tell you is you HAVE to try this place if you haven't been. oh, and the portions are awesome, which is great for the price. check their web : http://www.indiaoven.com/ *DROOL* also, the buffet is awesome here.
p.s.
WHERE ARE ALL THE REVIEWS?????? (thank you my love, for your first review)
When you walk in you'll notice all these newspaper clippings rating the place #1, and i fully agree with them... There's plenty of seating, and when you go during dinner they turn down the lights and turn on the candles. its so cute! everything, and i do mean everything is delicious. during the week they have a buffet its about 10 dollars if not less and they fill up the bar with all kinds of stuff. DELISH!!
