I'll give the course itself 4 stars but I'm gonna knock it down to 3.
Challenging layout makes for a fun round. Greens are smooth. Back 9 has some cool wide open holes.
The real reason for my review.
Just a tip that could possibly save the maintenance crew some run-ins with annoyed golfers. Try not to drive up into groups when they're 100 yards out and then park directly next to the greens with blowers going. We had 3-4 open holes behind us. It's not super hard to just hang behind for the golfers to finish the hole and then everyone is happy. This happened twice within the last 4 holes. Tough way to finish.
(I worked maintenance for 5 summers at a local CC for reference)
Other than that like I said fun and very challenging course IMO. Come check it out.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Laurie G.Foristell, MO01May 2, 2015
We are residents of Incline Village and the course itself is beautiful and well maintained. We patronized the course today as my high school age son was looking for somewhere to obtain additional practice and it's super convenient as it's located in our subdivision.
To start the day off (at a later tee time), Judy at the front desk had a difficult time maintaining focus to get us checked in even though we previously registered on line and thought we had confirmed our reservation (we had our confirmation number). She was unable to provide us with service as she was discussing her previous game with other patrons and was unable to explain why our reservation wasn't completed on line although we had a confirmation number.
We paid to rent two carts as my husband and myself (even though we were told that morning it was free of charge) as we were spectating because my son doesn't yet have a drivers license to operate a cart by himself. While on the course my husband drove us up to one of the holes on a hill where my son was putting at as we were spectating (we did not drive on the green) . When we proceeded to the next hole we were approached by a man that stated his name is Taylor (who was also golfing ahead of us) and runs the place. He told us being that close to the green was absurd. Our cart never entered the green area yet he felt the need to stop and explain this. We assume that he was "flexing" as he was playing with four of his friends and perhaps this made him appear important. Perhaps he should have flexed his authority when one of his compadres peed in the wood right in front of us!
As residents, Incline Village is super convenient, however we would rather spend our money elsewhere and you may want to consider this as well, We will choose to patronize a course where we feel our business matters, We felt nothing short of an imposition today.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Andrew M.Palatine, IL4822215May 28, 2013First to Review
I had my bachelor party here the day before Memorial Day. The course was in beautiful shape. I don't golf too regularly, but this course is very nice in my opinion. The holes are a little close together at times, but there is the right mixture of hills, flats, trees, and water (I would know, I got to see plenty of it). The price was right at $140/foursome with carts. Everyone had a great time, and the rain held off until the last group was on the 18th hole.
