I'll definitely call Incline Village one of the "greenest" courses I've ever played. Green grass, green trees, green trees in the mountain backdrop. All that snow and rain keeps this course thirst-free. Robert Trent Jones designed this course - and it is super tough!
The curtain of towering trees along the narrow fairways, the massive cabins, the plentiful water hazards, and the bunkered greens are tough enough - and I haven't even touched on the ups and downs of this mountain course.
Despite being highly difficult, Incline Village is still enjoyable to play. It's also on Golf Digest's Best of Nevada list.
being that i am a golf guy, i will give give it props where props are due. the layout is great with the re-design by tom fazio, re-positioned bunkes and changes to the green complexes. yes, cut throuh ponderosa pine and some great views of the lake. nice size targets and you have to work the ball a little in both directions (not much). the green are receptive with nice undulations, you have to go to work there. the reason i cant give it 5 stars is the pace of play...usualy 5 1/2 hours....the reason is it is cart path only!!! the place is packed all day in the summer...staff wise shop ahhh, outside good and friendly. range is matts which i dont like but with the amount of play you got to have it. PRICEY!!!! if you dont live there

this is a truly stunning golf course with fresh crisp cut grass, huge towering pines, snow capped mountains and deep blue waters. bunkered greens and water hazards on every hole make quite a challenge. i actually played very well here and look forward to another chance at greatness! lol
luckily we stayed in a cabin on the course to make this overall experience a once in a lifetime event. being able to sit out on the patio and look onto the course and see deer and other wildlife is truly calming.
