Clyde and the ITM staff offer nothing but exceptional service to each of their clients. I am just an individual who utilizes their services approximately 3 or 4 times a year and they treat me as though I was their highest revenue client. They have worked with me late at night or
figured out a way to fix things for me when I wasn't even home. They go above and beyond superior customer service in so many ways.
When Clyde found out I needed training on Power Point, he actually tried to figure out a way I could receive training from one of his employees. He has shown me how to use my IPOD, digital camera and has been so patient in explaining so many minuscule things on my computer. I have never had a request that the ITM staff didn't find a way to help me with and I have been nothing but incredibly impressed with every level of service they provide. Hands down, they are the best around for tech support!

It's two years since my last review, and I'm still entirely satisfied with In the Moment Computing. If you're reading this on your own computer now, you probably don't need immediate help, but you might want to call them right away to purchase one of their service packages so help will be only a phone call away when something does go wrong!

I work for a small law firm in downtown San Jose. We have been using ITM for several months now. Firstly I would like to say that Clyde and his staff have regained our confidence in computer repair technicians. We have previously used several computer assistance/repair companies in the Silicon Valley area and we have been extremely disappointed with the level of service that we have received. Clyde is brilliant! He is extremely responsive, helpful and let's just say he knows what he is doing when it comes to computers. We recently moved our office and Clyde had all our computers and server up and running within 1 hour. If you are looking for a reliable, knowledgeable, helpful and friendly computer service ITM is the way to go.
Clyde came and spoke to our South San Jose Marketing Group earlier this month and his presentation on SEO marketing (Facebook & Twitter specifically) was phenomenal. Because some of our business owners are older and aren't "hip" to this platform of marketing, Clyde was patient, thorough and made it easy to understand. Very user friendly.
Not only do I sing Clyde's praises for his speaking/training abilities, I also highly recommend Clyde in any computer needs you may have. His service is beyond reproach and makes it extremely easy to do business with him. Never wastes your time and gets the job done quickly. So call Clyde for any speaking/training gigs, as well as your computer needs. You will NOT be sorry you did.
I have used Clyde for a number of years and don't know how I would get along in the computer world without him!! He has helped me numerous times with my computer, my children's computers and I have also recommended him to my friends, all of whom have been extremely happy with his services.

I'm interested in an inexpensive netbook. I've asked various people in the computer service business what they would recommend and the only concrete recommendation I received was from Clyde. It's now enroute for $199 plus tax.

Clyde Lerner does an amazing job of creating order out of technology chaos. He's like a personal organizer for your home or small business network and computers. After a visit from Clyde it feels like you've done "Spring Cleaning" throughout your network.
He recommends helpful up to date tools and software that he believes are beneficial for your systems and networks. If you're in the market for new technology or want a second opinion before you buy something new, check in with Clyde.
Clyde e-mailed me back and was apologetic for the misleading address--their mailing address. They corrected the address on Yelp (855 E. Kifer in Sunnyvale) and now let the customers know to call first. As a result of my being inconvenienced, they offered to fix my computer problem for free. That was very cool of them and demonstrated good customer service.

I am astounded at how easily my computer issues were solved. I used to live with the problems associated with my computer till I could no longer avoid it and then it meant taking it in ... and so on! Now I just call up ITM and make an appointment for them to log on to my computer remotely and fix my problem. Presto! I never knew it could be this easy.
You owe it to yourself to find out how ongoing computer issues that used to cause you lost time and aggravation can be a thing of the past if you have ITM in your speed dial!

I invited Clyde to my Coldwell Banker office in Cupertino to speak to the agents on the value of using social networking tools like Facebook, LinkedIn & Twitter to market their businesses. Clyde not only runs a successful computer support business here in the Silicon Valley, but I've watched him do a great job at harnessing these online tools to grow his name recognition and expand his marketing reach ~ I knew Clyde would do a great job at presenting the "how to" and "what for" methods to our office. Clyde is amazing. I was working in New Orleans and had a problem with my anti virus. He was able to walk me through the solution over the phone. Which allowed me to get back to work almost immediately! Thank you Clyde!

Yep, these guys are good at repairing computers. Expensive, but a much better value than other services like the Geek Squad that take your money and deliver very little. I would use them in the future should the need arise. I can't say the service was absolutely perfect, but my computer works perfectly now.

I suffered a hard disc drive crash, and being a computer novice, didn't know what to do. Turns out, calling ITM is all that I needed to do. They helped capture most of my information, set up my new computer, and put safeguards in place to make sure that I never have that extreme of an issue again. I feel so much better knowing that I have this resource to call on. ITM is a life saver, that is for sure!!
Clyde is an infinite source of computer savvy. His time- and money-saving computer knowledge and tricks are not only cool and fun, but functional. He is personable, friendly and has a gracious staff. Guaranteed to put more into your project than you even realize. I will be using Clyde for years to come. As a mac-user, his support is awesome.
Clyde Lerner's business is well run and he is very attentive to clients. My personal experience was that I had an old windows computer, that had been gathering dust in my office for a long time. Since I could use another computer, I asked Clyde and his team to take a look at it. I live in Oakland, and his office is in San Jose. He arranged to pick it up when he was in Oakland, at a mutually convenient time. A few days later I was informed by his staff that the computer would not boot up. They offered to return the computer to me or recycle it in an environmentally friendly fashion. They also offered to do a quote for repair, but advised against it, because the cost of the repair was likely not justified, given the fact that the computer was a "dinosaur." I chose to have them recycle it, and they are taking care of it. Overall - a positive professional experience with efficient handling and no hassle. Full disclosure: a good friend of mine works for Clyde.
I started employing Clyde soon after he started the business, In the Moment Computing. What an apropos name. He has always been right there for me. No job is too small for him. He has helped me on large jobs too, mostly over the phone. Clyde walked my husband and I through installing an updated system, helped me figure out how to print a small part of a page, get into things I didn't know existed, etc. He is very reliable and has such a calm nature and voice, perfect for my excitable nature. He never makes me feel I should have known what the problem is. It is actually fun to watch him get into my computer from his computer and I can sit back and watch the cursor whizzing around the screen. He is in the perfect business. I am not computer savvy, but he doesn't mind, he takes me for what I am. I am delighted to recommend him for all computer jobs - big or small.

So after reading reviews on Yelp, I drive to 1030 E. Camino Real to get my PC fixed but find myself at a UPS store. I decide to go in and ask if a computer repair shop used to be located here. The UPS employee told me "No, but some computer guy advertises this address as his shop location. He has a [mail]box here but doesn't work here." The phone # takes you to a voice mailbox with no further info. Sketchy.
update: Clyde messaged me on Yelp, apologizing for my inconvenience. It seems that repairs are usually performed on-site and there is no "store front". To set up an appointment, call and leave a message on voicemail if there is no answer.
Needed help with a new computer and Clyde and his guy's were right there for me - Way to GO!!!

Heard about Clyde from a friend, he spoke very highly of him and ITM Computing. I have to say, I was not disappointed. Clyde was extremely personable, helpful and generous to share his computer knowledge. I would definitely recommend ITMC to all my associates and friends. Was very pleased with the overall pricing. I know enough about the computer to get myself in trouble. When I am out of my league, I call Clyde. Clyde and his team have helped me purchase and set up 2 laptops, bailed me out of the dark more than once and they have been a great resource for my IT needs. Since I usually have a tight schedule, ITM's ability to log in remotely and fix my problems has been a lifesaver. Thanks Clyde!
Clyde and his ITM Computing team members are amazingly knowledgeable, completely professional, and pleasant to deal with. Over the last few years, they have promptly and effectively solved a number of computer problems that were beyond my capabilities. When I needed a new computer, they helped me specify one that would meet my special needs. Then they helped me install new software and transfer tons of data from my old computer. I have some very sophisticated, complex financial software and valuable data that I collected over the years. To my horror, this was all lost one day by my error. One of the team members methodically, and I thought miraculously, retrieved all of my data and restored my program. I'm always pleased with their prompt service and what I consider fair prices.
Two days ago, I became one of "those people" that I used to make fun of...you know...the ones who "spill" something on their laptops? After four painstaking hours of working on a spreadsheet, I sat back and admired it, Peet's Tea in hand, and voila, before I could stop it, the whole mug was crashing down onto the keyboard, with tea *everywhere*.
I tried to drain the computer & take care of it myself, to no avail. The next day I called Clyde (the right decision). He was on it immediately & made it very convenient for my schedule to get the laptop. In less than 24 hours, he had salvaged all of my data, including my beloved spreadsheet AND the computer is once again functional--no small miracle.
I can't say enough good things. Not only did he fix it, but he went above and beyond to calm my nerves & make the whole process very easy, convenient, and best of all FAST. This is the second time that Clyde and ITM have come through for our business in a pinch.

I had my hard drive crash at 5 PM one night and was completely frantic. It wouldn't even start up! ... I know this is a "small" job for most tech support companies, but ITM Computing treated me like a VIP! I had a face to face consultation later that evening with Clyde the owner of ITM Computing. He personally evaluated my computer and very calmly explained to me the steps he would take to recover my data. By the time I left I felt completely reassured that I was in good hands and that the data will indeed be saved. First thing the next morning, I got a call from Clyde's admin who updated me on the expected time of completion. I was kept informed the entire time! Everyone I dealt with was calm and professional. After a mere 2 hours the next working day, I got a call from Clyde's technician who informed me of the job being done and arranged for a delivery of my laptop back to me by lunch time. The technician was stellar too and informed me of all the steps he took, explained the cause of the issue (a glitch/bug with the operating system and some scheduled maintenance), steps I can take to avoid such issues, and even gave me a backup of all my data in addition to having restored my laptop to its pre-crash condition. ITM Computing saved my life! Not only did I have my computer working again, but I learned a lot from ITM Computing's staff and was always treated with the utmost professionalism. I have ITM Computing on my speed dial now and would not hesitate to utilize their services again. THANK YOU!
I have had a long and happy business relationship with Clyde, which began not long after he began his business. I wanted to share my impressions of him. Clyde has a sweeping knowledge of the entire computer & electronic industry (it never ceases to amazes me). I admire his professionalism, his happy, calm, gentle personality (he is truly one of the good guys in this world), his flexibility, and his ability to alleviate severe panic attacks! Clyde has totally been there for me daytime, evenings, and weekends, when I was sure I just did some stupid thing that resulted in the loss of all the information on my computer. He has also constructed a computer for me, program by program, that I feel is secure, has a really great spam protection, and also has bells and whistles that Clyde offered to install because he knew would lighten my work load. He has also been open to installing programs that I have seen discussed somewhere and like, provided they are safe, do not interfere with my other programs, and that there aren't better ones available. I love his premium service plan that provides me with remote tune-ups and at least one on-site visit every year. It keeps my computer very up-to-date in all ways. Clyde keeps completely current on all issues concerning not only computers but also telephones, palm-type devices, etc. He holds conferences and training events frequently that deal with a variety of electronic programs and gadgetry. He will even teach you how to use Send Out Cards (and gifts), a great program that will let you send cards and small presents to family, friends, and clients. For my birthday late last month, I received a lovely card and some goodies that were so exquisite that they were gone in just hours! Clyde is, in short, just the very best. Established in 1996
Clyde started the business out of his home while working for Tandem Computers, Inc. After a few months, it was obvious that people needed customized and dedicated computer support - especially if they didn't work at a big company.
So, Clyde began working with small businesses and home offices in the local Palo Alto area. Word of mouth quickly spread and he began servicing computers in San Mateo, San Jose, Los Altos, San Francisco and Piedmont. As the clients kept coming, he found he needed help both administratively and technically.
He hired 1 technician and 1 part time office manager. For several years the company stayed at that size. After about 5 years, business was just too much for the 3 people, so more technicians were added, more specialties were added (Mac, Server, Web Design, Web Hosting) and more people were hired.
Today, there are 14 people on staff ready and willing to "Relieve Your Technology Stress" - in computer repair, web design & web hosting.
