OMFG!!! There has never been an In-n-Out that wasn't absolutely amazing!!! Where else can you go and get 2 double/doubles, 2 fries, 1 med drink and a chocolate/vanilla shake for under $14???
This is my first time eating outside at this location, and it's kind of a b!tch. The parking lot is pretty bad, and the drive-thru can be horrible at times- BUT this is actually a good thing. It's an indicator that you're about to devour some amazing food~ IF you're willing wait for it. And I ALWAYS am!!!
P.S. Animal style all the way!!!!!!!!!
Oh, and if you're up for a real challenge try a 4x4... -

I was inline for the longest time probably because the 8 passenger van in front of me had a huge order, but somehow when I got my order my fries were all burnt to hell. Those fries were over fried and I don't like them that way, I wasn't eating in the car but when I got home they were super fried and many fries had scar marks.
The only thing that tasted right was my burger. They even messed up my drink order. I had asked for coke and I got Root beer. How can you eff that up! -

Here's your score out of 5, BASED ON THE LOCATION, simply because all other reviews, well you know... LOL
Location 3 out of 5 points: This was a hard to score. It's located on Gale and 7th off the 7th exit on the 60 fwy. It's real easy to find and to access the 60 fwy which leads you to the 605 fwy. The only thing wrong is that its located on the corner of 7th and gale. Basically everything that I gave them a point for, also deducted it for them. The location causes an over flow and I've seen some bumpers swap paint.
Parking 2 out of 5: The over flow is also caused due to the parking. It needs a better design. Even the drive thru is effected by the horrible parking.
Outside seating 3 out of 5: Its a great place to sit when there's room. Be aware that it's located IN THE CITY OF INDUSTRY, so many trucks come off that freeway :)
Listen In n Out is a great location and the food can't go wrong.
The location is everything and this is one of those joints that is only busy because the food carries its success.
By the way, this location is also in between a high school and a middle school. So you'll have "lovable teenagers" using that great language that they know.
See you in the drive thru yelpers! -

So this review is in partial response to some of the more unforgiving comments from other reviewers.
Some years back, I purchased a meal here and was given the wrong order and missing change. Upon pointing this out, the manager came and apologised to me and explained that this particular location was a Training location. My order was corrected and I went on to have many other nice meals here.
I know. Trainee? Doesn't that mean their food isn't as good as the other, more regular locations?
On the contrary! Workers at this In-n-Out are much more willing to listen to extra requests, and actually follow through on more exacting orders. My brother loves eating fries cooked "lightly"....which means not as crisp/salty. Some other locations get lazy and just give regular fries, but this one never does.
Also, one time I came really really late, and they handed me all their leftover fries...that amounted to an entire bag full! I was admittedly sick of fries by the time I was done, but still. A whole bag of fries without paying?
---------------
Yes, this isn't the most quality-consistent In-n-Out there is(trainees switch out every 6-8weeks and food tends to reflect that), but the personal attention warrants returning.
And hey, we all start somewhere right? -

Just so you know, this particular location is the 2nd In-N-Out. I've been coming to this place ever since I was a young kid, so I have my memories. :)
The place itself is quite small, and there are only about 3-4 tables that you can sit outside on. Other than that, there are a few parking spots next to where you order that you can park your car and eat in. If you go during lunch rush, you're really looking at waiting a good 20-30 minutes in line before you get to place your order, so try to get there before 11:30am! :) I think these days they try to expedite the ordering process by having an individual stand outside to take orders for those who are REALLY far back from the speaker, so it helps a bit.
My favorite to order is still the Hamburger Protein Style with a whole grilled onion. Add an order of fries with no salt, and you have a really light and flavorful meal. It works for me, but for those who really want to go all out, get the Double Double Animal Style and Animal Style Fries (Animal style simply implies grilled mustard onto your beef patty mixed with grilled onions and a thousand island type sauce. They call it the "secret" sauce.)
Their lemonade is very refreshing, and I like that it's not overly sweet. It has a great balance of sweet and sour.
For a fast-casual place for burgers, I think this is definitely one of your best options. It's comforting knowing that your food is not frozen and everything is freshly picked and made, including the potatoes for the french fries. An added bonus is that they are open until 11pm on the weekdays and 1:30am or 2:00am on the weekends. So, if you're craving for a late night snack, you can't beat an In-N-Out Burger. The quality is always consistent. -

In n Out is always good! This time around i got to order a Double cheeseburger but with grilled mustard. Grilled mustard you say?? Yep, it's part of their hidden menu secrets. The feed was good, the wait was typical In n Out time, and the service was awesome.

All of the In-N-Outs taste the same. What really matters are the employees and how they make your experience one to remember so that you keep on coming back.
Everyone loves their local in and out, but I want to experience that when I venture off to another city and want to enjoy a good tasting burger with great service.
I have to admit I am a bit of a food snob and have a complicated order when it comes to my In-N-Out burger. I ordered my burger from the window and not drive thru. They still didn't get a 3x3 protein style with 2 whole grilled onions and no salt on the patty correct. All I received was a 3x3 and none of the rest.
Next time I guess I will speak more clearly... -

I'm not sure you really need to review In and Out. Everyone knows how awesome it is. It was awesome when I was a kid and it's awesome now that I'm all growns up. Sadly there are no In and Outs in Washington but that makes going to one when I get back to Los Angeles all the better.
This was the location in my hometown and because of that I'm sentimental to the In and Outs of the old school layout: almost 100% drive-thru centric, no indoor eating space, just a couple of tables positioned outside for eating. The modern In and Outs are fine but they've got these hyper red and white sheen interiors that do not go well with the slight grit I grew accustomed to with the older ones. I assume this is just my issue but if you've got a soft spot for what I'm talking about you should try this location (the locations off of Colima/Brea Canyon and Lambert in Brea are also like this one!)
For those of you who have never been to In and Out before, it's kind of required eating. Not eating at In and Out while in Los Angeles would like not having a cheesesteak from Pats while you are visiting Philly. I recommend the following:
Double Double Animal Style
Animal Style fries
Chocolate shake
This meal will literally chip away a day or two off of your life but it's a totally fair trade - your life will feel strangely empty without having experienced it. Animal Style fries started showing up about a decade ago AFAIK and make the otherwise too natural fries into something considerably more favorable and decadent.
An aside, I almost knocked a star off because In and Out apparently sued Blowfish Sushi for their use of the term "Animal" for a sushi roll that was celebrating the spirit of the In and Out secret burger. Pretty lame, In and Out! -

3x3 protein style....+ animal frys = nom nom nom happy camper & fattening. i do agree that the service in this location tend to lack significantly but they do try... i mean all in n out got lines leading to the street and this location beg no differ. I would forget a thing or two if i had to deal with that many customers.

This particular In N Out is typical pre 70s set up. Easy to get in to, however it's a bitch to get out of once you've got your food.
Double drive through, very limited parking, tiny walk up area and only a few places to sit.
But the one thing it does offer is that fabulous In N Out cuisine. I mean who can resist the classic #1 meal of a Double/Double with grilled onions, fries and a drink? The healthiest and tastiest fast food of it's kind.
This place is located right off the 60 freeway offramp and Seventh Ave very near one of my main suppliers. So when I haven't had time to eat earlier that day it's a Godsend to be able to drive through for quick meal to hold me over until dinner.
No frills, just good old fashioned In N Out that always does the trick. Drive through, order the grub, park and eat and then on my way again within 10 minutes. -

Even when I used to eat meat In-N-Out was a favorite of mine! Still is and always will be. I now no longer eat meat however, a mean grilled cheese and their ever so fresh and tasty fries can punch you right into tomorrow. Boom!
We pass by this particular In-N-Out every so often at least a few times a month. Finally, in a hurry and in a rush we needed to gratify that grumbling sound that seemed to be coming from our stomachs.
In-N-Out it is!
Both vegetarians and meatatarians alike can enjoy a good meal at In-N-Out. You can customize your burgers to tailor your needs. You can find it right here off their secret menu - http://www.in-n-out.co... If you're in the mood for cheesy goodness smothered over your fries, ask for the animal style fries. Oh heaven! Tip for all you dieters out there. Choose protein style when ordering your burger, less carbs with no bun. Win!
Ok, I'm hungry now...

As long as I can remember, this In-N-Out has been here. Although it's on the Los Altos side of Hacienda Heights, that didn't mean I wouldn't drop by until the In-N-Out by the Puente Hills mall opened in the 90s. This In-N-Out is still the old school version. The one with a drive in on each side. Service is a bit slower due to the way its layout but many of us who visit don't mind.

WARNING: In n Out Burgers are addictive eating them will result in a lifetime of addiction to these delicious burgers. I personally have been "hooked" for more then twenty years. These burgers are so good they have spawned a whole sub culture in Socal, with hidden menus that make locals feel special. Burgers are cheap so grab two they are that good. This particular InnOut has been here for a long while and will get crowded sometimes especially during lunch hours. Good news is theres another location next to the Puente Hills mall about 5 min away.

Fast Food Failure!
I am writing this with tears because I am displeased with you In N Out of Hacienda Heights, CA! ::Shakes fists:: I have been to this place on three separate accounts and you have failed me all three!
First, my "Medium" Fries turned into ridiculously stab-the-roof-of-your-mouth chips the first time I visited. The second time, my order was messed up with a regular burger instead of the double double that I ordered. And lastly, today (30 minutes ago), I ordered a cheeseburger with everything on it and medium-fries, and they gave me a dinky little cheeseburger with ONE slice of lettuce! WTF! I am sitting here, sad, displeased, and very angry writing this review instead of eating that "sad excuse of a burger" because I want ALL OF MY YELPERS TO KNOW THIS IS NOT THE IN-N-OUT TO GO TOO!!!
DONT GO! I REFUSE! YELPERS SHOULD TOO! -

In-N-Out's are infamous for their long drive-through lines because everything is supposedly made fresh to order. Well, damn, I drove up and joined in one of the two long lines of cars Saturday afternoon because I was craving a burger. I barely had time to check in on my Iphone Gowalla app when someone was honking at me to move up, an In-N-Out guy walks up to me to take my order using his headphone thingymajig, and another one 5 seconds later was asking for payment so he could walk it up to the hut/booth to get my change. Seriously, I'm on the 3G network, and these two In-N-out employees moved faster than my iphone could surf. Before I could finish texting a friend and reply to a few emails, I was already up at the window with yet another capped employee handing me my burger in a box.
Seriously, my iphone multi-tasking usage has never before been disrupted by such expedient customer service. Hell, I never got to check in on my Gowalla app! :(
Of course, my burger with grilled onions was yummy!Listed in: Rowland & Hacienda Heights

There. 2 stars which stands for I don't like it. I fail to understand what makes most yelpers rate In N Out Burger perfect 5 stars.
Yes, I heard In N Out serves the freshest Burgers and that it's healthier compared with other fastfood Burgers. With just 5 items on the menu placing your order takes about 30 seconds or even less. In that regard, In N Out redefine the word 'Fastfood'.
See, I'm not being a hater nor am I trying to be a rebel. I can appreciate the pros of this beloved fastfood joint.
I'm rating In N Out Burger 2 stars because (1) Hamburger was dry and it tasted plain, (2) French Fries were ordinary.
At the risk of being stoned/flagged/whipped/snobbed, there you have it. -

Always had AWESOME experiences at any In-n-Out places! I don't even know where to begin with In-n-out... That it's secretly my guilty pleasure or that it's just super delicious? I also love the fact that it's just specifically located in Cali only... Makes it that much more desirable!
They always have friendly employees and they're never afriad to take on complicated orders, what's impressive is that they take on complicated orders and GET THEM RIGHT. Now that is something to be applauded for! I'm quite simple and always just go with the normal hamburger with toasted onions (where they cook your onions just a little longer than the normal onions), but my friend always has this super long mix of a burger that she wants and they always deliver. Every. Single. Time. Absolutely freaking amazing. We also get our fries salted and one non-salted with extra black pepper and they're always perfect and labeled so we know which one is which. I just love how consistent everything is, so it's not like there's too much going on in my mouth when I eat their food. Also, their milkshakes are a must! I don't know what they do to make it so delicious, but it's defintely something I would recommend! Kind of has that thick frothy texture that kicks it back old school, you know?
Also, this location seems to have more people than other In-n-outs I've been to that the line gets so freaking ridiculous sometimes it winds out almost to the freeway exit that it's located near. -
Review from Amy A.
Have you ever heard of Hacienda Heights, California? Well, if you aiin't from there, I don't blame ya for not knowing about this small unincorporated Los Angeles suburb. HH is known for a few things, like having the the largest Buddhist temple in the western hemisphere (Hsi Lai Temple) and that there are two In-N-Outs about ten minutes away from each other. This mean's that HH has got zen and hamburgers covered. Dang, a great place to raise a family, right?
Say what you want about growing up in the suburbs, but you can't beat having two, TWO, two In-N-Outs in your neighborhood!
I haven't eaten beef in about a decade, but I'll still go down to In-N-Out because the grilled cheese sandwich, fries and milkshakes are fresh and delicious and makes you believe in a god of kitchen.
I'm salivating now. Must stop writing In-N-Out review. When will this place come to Portland? -
Review from Jeffrey T.
Hacienda Heights, CA
Located right off the 60 freeway, there has never been once that I've came to this In-N-Out without waiting for more than 4 minutes until I order. The food still tastes just as great and fresh and any other In-N-Out in Los Angeles, and I have never had a bad experience here (I've gone to this one more than 20 times in the past few years). Firemen would very often come and enjoy the freshest burgers in California.
To my knowledge, there is a parking lot but I do not think that there are seats where you can sit and eat. They do try to expedite the waiting process by taking orders before you hit the cashier window, which is really great.
The only flaw about this place would be that it is not a sit-in In-N-Out, either than that, this place is just as great as any other branch. -
Review from Tamar F.
It's 10:30 pm and you're driving back to LA on the 60. Chick-Fil-A closed half an hour ago. Your stomach is grumbling. Wait till you get home to eat? No, fridge is empty. Stop in Westwood? Yeah right, with that parking situation? And then, out comes the In-N-Out Billboard. Exit 7th Avenue, it tells you. So you do. But it's not on 7th Avenue, so you drive in the direction of the neon In-N-Out sign that shines in the night.
Chance it with the drive-through? Nah, the line looks long and slow. So you park along the side wall... or in the back. The night air is a little brisk, and you hold your sweatshirt tight as you walk up to the little shack to order. Mmmm secret menu. You dreamed about this back on the East Coast, patronizing the only "Fast Food Nation"-approved fast food joint, approaching the counter to order off a menu that few knew about. And then you got to LA and realized that the menu wasn't that secret and the grilled cheese wasn't that good. But you order it anyways. With some fries, well done. And a chocolate shake.
Ten minutes later and the food is ready, so you sit outdoors at a dirty picnic table as two people from in a pickup truck unload a cooler and ask the burger boy for ice. The grilled cheese is nothing to write home about, the shake is alright, and the fries are surprisingly better than the cardboard that you had at the Westwood In-N-Out two months prior.
With a greasy but full stomach you go back to your car and continue your drive to LA. Hunger's been sufficiently checked off the list. -

Ahhh.... the In-N-Out where all my friends worked during high school. Oh the memories. What can I say? I'm a classic Californian - which means that I will NEVER bag on In-N-Out.
Can I please have a Double Double with animal style fries and a vanilla milkshake? And throw in a Flying Dutchmen too while you're at it (my favorite item here on the secret menu).
I've never (in the past 20 years of eating In-N-Out) had a bad experience with their food at any location, and I've never had bad service - in fact, these are the nicest/most polite fast food employees anywhere! -

Best burgers from a fast food joint bar none!
I hate the fries though, always dry. I regularly get the burgers then drive to McDonalds for fries and drink.
The sauce on the burgers, thousand islandish, is really incredible. The burgers are on the small side, but the double-double does the job perfectly with double beef patty and double cheese.
You'll love it for sure! -

prime example of prime location. in-n-out is awesome at setting up locations right next to freeway exits along with a giant billboard with a ginormous 3-d burger half protruding out of it screaming "hey, you want a piece of me?!".
this is a drive through location only, ordering is quick because they have employees walking down the drive thru lane with an electronic order taker (typical in-n-out with drive thru). but getting the cheeseburger in my mouth is another story.
can't say in-n-out is "fast"food because i've had to wait more than 10 minutes for my meals before. oh well, even if they make me wait 15 minutes for a cheeseburger i'd still wait for it because it's seriously worth it. i really don't mind having the fry cooks spending more time on my burger though.
yummay! quality you can taste :] -

This in and out is sloppy and lazy. The fries come out hard and so do their buns on their burgers.I think it tends to get more sloppy at night. People we are in a recession here they should make sure my food comes out just the way I ordered it. I refuse to come back to this one.The one in Walnut is way better.
