The pizza isn't bad but I sat in here for 45 minutes waiting for a small pizza that I ordered at the counter. They told me 20 minutes. That's cool.
45 minutes later the kid asked me what I ordered. They didn't even start it. I was pissed and said screw it. Also, another customer came in to pick up his order for delivery which was taking too long. Seems like some of the stuff needs to be streamlined a bit or more reasonable expectations set. I mean, is it that difficult to write down orders as they come in? They didn't even offer to make me one for free, or offer up a couple slices. Be accountable when you f up. I'll never order from them again, as there are too many other pizza places that make pizza that's just as good or better in this area.

Unless was unlucky enough to get a bad batch, the Pizza here is only passable.
If you live in the area, I would suggest Pino's or Presto's (Cleveland Circle)- even Pizza etc (Brighton)- over this place.
This place has always had the best pizza in Brighton. So why did I avoid it for six years before finally ending my boycott? Service. After four straight no-shows when ordering delivery I moved on to the seven or so other pizza places within walking distance. Well, after all those years the place has changed inside but the food is still great. They finally got rid of the tables and chairs that seemed to come from a dumpster outside a public elementary school. Their pizza is still the best mainly because their pizza sauce actually has flavor and you can't beat the prices.
So with great food, prices, and now service they are now my overall favorite pizza place in Brighton again.
ok here goes..... dont order delivery it takes a while. anyone who is actually from the area knows it. this pizza is the best around hands down. its italian pizza not greek some may not no the difference so if you think greek pizza is better dont go here. imperial is the best!!
This is the closest I've come to decent pizza in Boston. Prices are great! The crust can be a bit unreliable - sometimes it's fine, but sometimes underdone, or too thin to hold up more than one topping, or soggy at the center. But the sauce is great and they use just the right amount of cheese.
A holdover from nights of pizza and beer in Pittsburgh, I have a deep and abiding love for pepperoncini pizza, and this is a love that it seems no one in Boston shares. I walked to three pizza places where they looked at me like I was crazy and said "No, we don't have that" before I got wise and started calling places. Seriously, I HAD to have this.
While the peppers are not a menu item at Imperial Pizza, the man who answered the phone said "Hey, we got 'em, so why not?" Once I got there he pulled out the jar of unsliced pepperoncini, just to make sure that this was the item I was after and 15 minutes later I had what I wanted. Although next time I will ask for extra cheese, because they apply it very sparingly.
So, the pizza is not the absolute best ever, but (this is a huge but) he made me something that no one else would and it was pretty good and the large was only $11. And they all speak Italian.
So I must admit to this being a love of convenience since it is literally six feet from my office...but its truly more than that
Best three dollar lunch ( perhaps the only 3$ lunch) Ive ever had...
Their Sicillian Pizza is fabulous...and hearty. Two slices is far too much, but you'll try anyway...
I haven't journeyed beyond their pizza but judging by the lunch time crowd their subs and calzones are good too...
The best part of this little place though is the authenticity...its not much more than a hole in the wall, but its got a mural of its owners on the side of the building and a wall of photos featuring local "Trick or Treaters" from Halloweens past...its divey and darling all at the same time...Plus Joe is a sweetheart...From him, count on two things... he will always ask how you are and always offer an opinion on both the weather & the redsox...
Definitely worth the 3 Bucks!
I had grown very weary looking for good pizza- a friend told me about Imperial- saying, "it was the bomb"...I guess I didn't understand that she meant gut-bomb. The pizza was subpar and it took them over an hour to deliver it, when I was told it would be 30 min... my search for good pizza continues...

Great slices, very nice people that work there. Always a welcome sight after a few too many in the local Brighton haunts.

One word, four letters....
N-I-N-O
God that man knows me like no other. He has been delivering for Imperial for as long as I can remember.
Although I've had better pizza, they make the best steak and cheese subs on the planet. I grew up on Imperial and they have ruined me for all other steak bombs.
Great local place to grab a slice, get take-out, or better yet have good ol' Nino come pay you a visit.

The perfect slice! Great for your standard pizza. Friendly staff and good prices. You can eat in or take out. Service can be slow. The chicken parm and greek salad are good alternatives. A number you want to put in your cell phone.
Ordered pizza....one hour later they called to tell me they don't deliver to Brookline....we ARE all of 1.4 miles away from them...perhaps they deliver by foot

I spent four years in Boston searching for a pizza which came close to the pies I grew up with in NJ, but it wasn't until I came across Imperial was I satisfied.. Is it as good as the pizza I eat in NJ or NYC? Not quite, but it's close.
On top of the actual pies, the staff is awesome and the old Italian man who does the deliveries is my hero.
favorite pizza in massachusetts! get the sicilian crust with garlic, even if you think you don't like either. that little man behind the counter will have you rolling and moaning with happiness.

I will drive past 5 other pizza joints to get to Imperial. Their pies are that good. Thin crust, not too greasy, great toppings. They're always well worth the effort to get there.
When you find elderly Italians sitting around during the day, you know you've found a REAL pizza shop. The walls have pictures of neighborhood kids in Halloween costumes and the staff shaking hands with the mayor, adding to it's authentic feel.
