I'm not quite sure where to go with this review, because my experience at Imperator was so memorable and so unusual. I went here as part of a wedding reception extravaganza, and it was a truly lavish occasion.

There was so much food (and vodka) served that it's hard to remember precisely, but lobster tail and escargot stand out in my memory. If you are vegetarian, you would have been disappointed, because the theory on vegetables that was exhibited in the meal we had was that they make a fine garnish on a big plate of meat.

The entertainment really took things to a new level. With enthusiastic and at times homo-erotic performances of a wide range of tunes, we danced the night away.  And when we needed some air, Brighton Beach was just across the street.

I highly recommend getting invited to a party that is being thrown here.
