Rachel is awesome.. Our first time was in All American Tattoo in Fullerton ;) . Now I have to drive ALL THE WAY TO LA!!!
Shes done most of my left arm, and a cover-up on my back... Just waiting for some moolah to roll in to finish it up...

    Randy's cool too..
    Comfortable atmosphere...
    SUPER CLEAN..
SUPER NICE (even to the "omg I'm here to get my first tattoo of a heart on my ass" customers that I've seen walk in)

Parking's kind of a bitch (what do u expect, it's on Melrose)

OVER ALL: worth the drive, I NEVER regret her work, she's amazing!!!!

Simon Watts was a complete jerk to me when I came in asking a few questions. Granted it was New Years day and he was probably super hungover, but that's still no excuse to treat a potential client like s/he's an idiot. If I wanted "awesome" customer service like this I would've gone to the DMV...

I am so glad I met Simon Watts, and so happy with the job he did that I wish I would have waited to get all my tattoos until I found him.  He is a rare gift to the tattoo community in that he is an amazing artist who happens to tattoo, not the other way around.  His vision can run from traditional to scientific, to completely original and conceptual. His linework is ridiculous.

I had him do some extremely intricate pin striping on my back - the kind you put on a car.  It requires a very able and deft hand even with the usual paintbrush because the weight of the lines and the precision has to be extremely clean. To replicate it with a tattoo gun is a special challenge.  He did a killer job.

From initial consult to finished product, this guy was a privilege to work with. He's a very nice guy who listens to what you want and visualizes it for you.  He leaves his ego out of it, and uses his incredible eye to make your idea come to life.  He's extremely clean, and did a full consult for me with a mock up and everything.  He is the guy you want to do your next statement piece.  Trust me.

I can't say enough about him, and can't wait to get back in for more work with him. Thanks Simon!  You really are the best!

I had 2 tattoos done at Immaculate Conception. One done over my C-section scar and was completed to perfection. Its a very sensitive and tough area to work on, but I was very satisfied with work as the sensitivity of the artist knowing the pain that is involved on a piece of this manner. My second tat is a beautiful large script writing on my back with all 3 of my babies names and my favorite saying to them. I wanted them present for the piece and was nervous at the same time....we were made to feel so welcome. This shop is the next best place to Disneyland in my book....A+

I was having pangs of the heart... my cure... a new tattoo!! Something about the endorphins kicking in, and I get a tatt buzz.

I was in LA for a business trip when this all happened.. and I couldn't wait until I get back home.. I needed it like NOW. haha yea ink is addicting.

I called several shops that ranks very well on yelp with oodles on reviews..but all were booked =( and I needed that tatt before I was hopping on the plane back home.

So I decided to go to a less popular shop, still with good but few reviews. And it helped that it was on Melrose.. worse comes to worse, if I cant do a walkin I could shop.

Got there right after 1 pm.. and the shop was empty except 2 staff members.  Dont recall their names.... but I told them I wanted a small tattoo on my finger... and when they asked what i wanted on it.. i was REALLY embarrassed to say..

I wanted a mustache on my pointer finger...DONT JUDGE ME! cus the tattooist didnt!! hahaha. It reminder for me, to not take life so seriously, and take time to laugh.  This was something I wanted for a LONG time, but when I was back in SF trying to get it done, they told me they wont tattoo my fingers cus my fingers were too small..and the ink would bleed..etcetc.. but luckily he said he could do it!!

I didn't have a picture of the mustache I wanted (it was at home).. since this was more of a spur..but I kinda described it.. and from that point he was able to draw a test on my finger!  and it came out pretty close if not better!  I went to the mirror to check it out... and luckily I did.. it was a lil crooked, but he wasn't offended when I asked him to correct it.

Overall i was done and out under 30 minutes... costs was pretty darn reasonable.. He charged me $50, I tipped $15.  The tattooist may come off kinda cold, but it was cus it was REALLY early in the day, and that's just how he talks.  He's actually really nice!

Im going to DEFINITELY return here for more work! To bad its soo far from me

Randy is a ROCKSTAR! Though I just wanted the insole of my foot inscribed with a proverb I really liked (aka it was probably one of the most boing tattoos this guy has done) he was super awesome and incredibly skilled!! He asked what type of lettering I wanted and I said I wanted a simple script...no problem, he said he could do it free hand and therefore better fit it to the shape of my foot. I also wanted the tattoo inside my lip touched up and he said no problem, and threw that in along with it. Both looked A-mazing! Could not be happier with them, will definitely definitely be going back for any ink I want in the future!!

A lot of the great stuff I had to say about the uh-mazing Rachel I wrote on my Pure Tattoo reveiw a while back http://www.yelp.com/bi...  And it all still stands!

This woman is quite skilled! She is my go-to girl for all my tattooing needs.

A great price and definitely not at the expense of some beautiful work!

I actually came into Immaculate conception the first week they were setting up... in fact, they had not officially opened.
I still received great service.. despite all the kinks of opening week.
Very accommodating and always a great atmosphere to spend all those many aching hours! :)

I was on vacation with 5 of my friends this past week in So. Cal. One of the things on my to-do list while down there was to get my cherry blossom outline shaded in.

On our last day the cronies and I hit up Melrose, and there I decided I would go to the first mom n pop looking tatt shop I saw. The "fancier" shops intimidate me and the people that work there are usually douches anyway.

I was greeted by Nick, showed him my tatt and asked how much it'd cost to get shaded. He told me the price. It was reasonable. I asked if he was able to do it "now". He told me he'd do it after he smoked his cigarette. I didn't even bother to look at his work prior to asking... I'm just a spontaneous girl, what can I say? lol

Anyway, Nick did a really great job! He turned my very dull, boring cherry blossom that I was unhappy about, into something pretty! He was very calming and made sure I was comfortable throughout the process by talking about some random, but funny, stuff and kept asking if I was okay.

I wouldn't mind going back again to get something else done. I wouldnt drive 5 hours just to get a tatt from there, but I'd definitely get one again if i was in town on vacation and had a design on had or in mind.

Rachel has done all of my tattoos (several small/med ones and two half-sleeves) and I've recommended her to everyone I know! Even my mother-in-law has a few Rachel originals. Not only is she a classically trained artist who understands specific references, she can whip up amazing art, taking what you bring in and making it much better than you could have imagined. She does a lot of research for your tattoo, making sure it reflects what you want, but can also make changes and add things on the fly that are amazing..  She has good "chair-side manner," too. I've spent 6 hour stretches with her for some pieces and 15 minutes for others and they were all relaxing and fun. Her crew of artists are all very approachable and nice, and great artists as well. There's just a good vibe in there.

I went in to Immaculate Conception a bit embarrassed because I needed a hibiscus tattoo covered because the girl who tattoed me before did a horrible job (dont go to http://arlenedarling.com she messed my tattoo up).

Rachel made me feel so comfortable and she did an awesome job!!!
I couldnt be happier she is a true artst and such a wonderful person with a great personality, I owe her big time, she brought a smile to my face again.  After the first girl I went to messed up, it was hard for me to trust someone again, damn tattoos are permanent.  I found Rachel online and I yelped her and honestly she is so good, Im so glad I found her!

Rachel is amazing.  She has a great eye.  The little touches she did to the original design I had made it amazing.  She made a few subtle changes but it really added to the design.  It looked so much better after she was done; I didn't even realize the four hours that went by.
