This is a 3 star restaurant, but I'll give it a +1 for being relatively fast and efficient.  We were on our way to see Juno at the Gateway theater next door.  They got us in and out toot sweet.

THE GOOD: uber-garlic rolls to start.  So freakin good.  This side cesar salads.

THE AVERAGE: the food -- my dish, anyway -- was something I could make at home.  A decent amount of chicken, a skimpy amount of asparagus, rigatoni, some pesto and some tomato sauce.  Very decent, but not out of the world.  My dining companion (the lovely as ever J) had a  some fusili with vege's.  It originally came with chicken and she asked them to substitute spinach.  No problem.  Also very decent even if the broccoli in it was substantially over done.

THE UGLY: ok so all is fine and good until the bill comes.  They double charged for two cups of coffee AND THEN on top of the 14.95 for J's pasta which she had less the chicken they added 2.95 for the spinach.  Yeah -- seriously.  Anyway, the reason they don't get a -1 is that when we brought this to the server's attention it was removed.  Fair enough.

ANY WHO: the final amusement of the restaurant was these little plastic wrapped m&m like mints with "Gourmet Chocolate" printed on one side and "Sysco Corp" on the other.  Lesson #1 in food snobbery: if something comes from ANY mega food supplier like sysco, it ain't in any way shape or form gourmet.  In fact, if part of your labeling contains the word "gourmet" you aren't at all gourmet.

Over all: glad I went.  If I lived here I would go back to try the pizza which looked feakin' awesome.

I call this place the Sysco Express.  We had Chicken Parm, Bruschetta and the previously mentioned Garlic Rolls.  On all 3 items, you could tell it was straight off the order sheet of Sysco or Gordon foodservice.  Not a bad thing when you eat at a cafeteria or commissary, but not when you're dropping $20+ per person like we did (with drinks).  Yeah, thats "affordable" for South Florida, but I expect more when I go out...not Sysco rolls with minced garlic from a jar and cheap olive oil all jumbled together.   The tomatoes were bland/canned and tasted it...I guess I expected more after reading the prior reviews.  On the plus side, the location is great, the decor is classy and clean, and the service was above average.  I'd give them 3 stars because what matters the most (the food) was only just eh.

Food's pretty good. Not the best, but consistent. Service is adequate or above.

Their garlic bread is second-to-none. It's down-home Italian at its best. The atmosphere is quite nice. Everything is solid at this place.
