This review is for the restaurant at IKEA only and not the retail store. The restaurant is located upstairs and can be accessed through the pickup section or by taking a short cut at the main entrance.

The restaurant offers a variety of traditional Scandinavian foods at reasonable prices. I tried the Swedish meatball platter that comes with mashed potatoes and a red berry dessert. This platter seemed to be the favorite of just about everyone going through the line. They also have a soup and salad bar there that cost $1.79 for either one. I decided to go with the veggie wrap.

I thought the veggie wrap was ok, but I didn't like the sauce that comes with it at all. I think it was suppose to be a ranch style dressing. The swedish meatballs were good and the gravy they put on it was good too. I though $4.99 for the meatball platter was slightly high compared to the value of the other options. They give you about 15 meatballs but they are very small. The quality of the food was average and it was hard to tell what was actually made on site or mass produced somewhere else. The cafeteria style atmosphere could use a little work and they encourage you to clear your own table to keep the cost down. I didn't find the staff to be all that helpful, but they did try.

I probably won't go back although it was good to try it at least once.
