5 reviews for IHOP
Had to eat breakfast I was starving so we stop went in was seated with in 2 minutes ordered crapes and poach egg cooked to perfection and was eating breakfast and out with in 20 min the fastest breakfast as well as the best I have had in a long time.quick and no nonesense great cheap food yet perfect poached eggs great coffee I will go back no doubt.
This one star is for the wonderful waitress who served us this past busy Sunday. She was cheery and on the ball and one of the better waitresses in this town. I wish I remembered her name.
As for the food, let me just say, it didn't stay in my stomach very long. I ordered The Sampler, eggs, bacon, ham, hash brown and pancakes. What I actually received was a pile of grease in the shape of eggs, bacon, ham and hash brown. Now I'm no stranger to IHOP, I expect it to be a little greasy but this was ridiculous. I started on my hash browns and as I chewed I could feel the grease shooting into my mouth with each chew. I could see pools of grease on my eggs and a thick layer on the bottom of my plate. The only good thing about this meal were the pancakes and OJ. I barely ate a 1/4 of my meal. What a waste of money.
I will never go back to this location again.
i went to this place a couple times when i was in college when they had the stuff french toast specials. for an ihop its really not that bad. the food is better than dennys for sure.
Worst IHOP experience ever. Seriously? Their food is almost all instant... should be out in less than 10. Anyone that's worked @ IHOP wanna help me out? Sure, I have been to IHOP on extremely crazy nights, and especially after 2, all of the drunk people go for some cheap food. BUT!!!!! I went last Saturday night, and we were seated within ten minutes. Maybe a little busy, but our server had LESS THAN or equal to three tables. We -had- been brought a glass and a refill each of our water, but when when she'd taken our order and put it in, she only had 2 tables. We waited about half an hour, and began to grow annoyed, because we knew our just-add-water hashbrowns and eggs from a carton would be frigid when we got them. She finally came by and told us it would be just another minute... but the whole time, I had hardly seen her in our section, and even less carrying items to tables. I think she was probably outside smoking. I completely understand bad nights, and not wanting to take tables... but honey, if you wait tables, and want to make any kind of tips to pay your damn bills, faking it is necessary most of the time... which can be tough to do... but there's no excuse for neglecting your tables for that long. Needless to say, we split, right as she was turning the corner to come give us another excuse. We ended up feasting on Wendy's. At least the food was hot.
*Revise: 10/05: Just realized... the location listed is wrong. I'm criticizing the 'HOP on IH 35 and Slaughter. Boo.
A clean restaurant with good food, quick service and fair prices. Those are great qualities for any restaurant to have, and this one does stand out from many of the others. I'd rate it among the better IHOPs. Oh, sure, the menu is about the same as any other IHOP, but cleanliness and wait staff are a direct reflection of the restaurant's manager. If IHOP's delicious menu is one of your favorites, you owe it to yourself to experience one of the better ones when you're in the area. Located in the 8800 block of the I-35 access road just south of Slaughter Lane, it is easy to find and offers convenient access.
