This is the coolest shop you will ever walk in to in your life.

This shop is stocked to the brim with seemingly hundreds of unique and cool sodas (from soda breweries around the country), as well as hundreds of classic toys and gifts that will tempt you while you sip your ice cold drink.
I was with a group that spent a week just outside of town, and we came in to town a few times Specifically to get sodas from this shop! Ask the people behind the counter, they know what they sell and what tastes the best.
Why Oh Why do you have to be located so far from downtown LA? I love this shop.
By the way, they do a four-pack discount if you're buying singles from the fridge. -

This place has been in Idyllwild since I was a kid. Love it :) You can always get button candy and a variety of root beer and cream soda. So yummy. Trying to add some toys to my registry from here, but can't find a website for it!

This shop has a nice selection of toys and candy that I (or my mom) remember from childhood. They also have a wall covered with a variety of sodas in GLASS bottles. These aren't just the common sodas either. My son loves the blue cream soda, and the salesperson suggested an unusual huckleberry soda for me, which I thoroughly enjoyed. They also stock all of the sodas in coolers so you can get a cold drink right away. While my boys were oohing and aahing over all the toys and candy, the salesperson asked where we were from and where we were staying. I am glad she did, because one of my sons left behind some bottlecaps he had chosen from the container they fall into when you use their bottle opener. She was nice enough to call the place we were staying and passed along a message that we had left the bottle caps behind. What amazing service! I have been there on previous trips to Idyllwild, and I will definitely go back.

So when you first walk in a lil overwhelming. Lots and lots of old school toys and what nots. Want to take a walk down childhood memory lane? Go here from gumbie to a cap gun it's here.
But to my surprise there is well over 75 bottled sodas to try with an extensive array of sugar free sodas too! I of course kept it simple and old school with a Dr. pepper. Talk about a party in my mouth. It was a special moment for sure. My bf went with wierd hawaiian soda that was suprisingly pungent with grapefruit flavor. Both great choices. Will def come back to try more sodas! Stop by if you are a soda snob or wanting to have a party in your mouth! -

An impressive array of sodas chilled and ready for imbibing. Dozens of varieties of less ubiquitous candies (maple bun, anyone?) All the coke paraphernalia you could ever want (the drink, that is.)
When I first moved back to LA after being in the military, I had a set of 8 coke glasses. Most were promptly destroyed in the Northridge earthquake, and the rest have been steadily broken by my wife over the years. I was able to get a new set of 5 here, so I'm a happy dude until the next major earthquake, which should be along shortly.
