If there was ever a Food Network profile on Halethorpe, MD, this place would deserve a mention as a locals' choice for dessert.  It's got the genuine community feel of a place that attracts families that have been coming for years, hires teens from the local area high school, etc.  

The ice cream isn't made on-site though, so that's kind of a bummer.  But it doesn't detract too much from the overall experience of going out for a sweet cold treat.  If you get it to stay, the tables inside the place have built-in checkerboards!
