Established in 1969. In 1969, our founder, Allyn Ayers, opened a shop in Orlando, Florida, calibrating speedometers and quickly began receiving requests for additional services from satisfied customers. This led to the birth of our company, Ice Cold Air ®, which specializes in auto air conditioning services in Florida. In 1993, we began franchising our existing shops to provide better customer service. Having an owner-operator on the premises of each location allows us to deliver personal service to our clients, which remains vital to this day. Ice Cold Air Franchisees are committed to being Community Partners. We strive to provide excellent service at fair prices and to support our local communities. Annually, our locations host food, toy, and school supply drives, sponsor numerous local sports teams, and serve on various Nonprofit Boards. Ice Cold Air has 16 automotive repair shops throughout Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, Citrus, and Hernando Counties. Each location is individually owned and operated.

I just called and Dennis was responsive and helpful. Even though I was unable to do the service I need at this repair shop, it referred me to several other places and helped me out.

My girlfriend's Honda Civic's A/C started only blowing hot air so we decided to take it here since we pass by it all the time and clearly it's in their name that they can fix this. After leaving the vehicle with them they called us to tell us that they ran new Freon in it and the condenser was bad and leaking and needed to be replaced quoting us $1,600. We declined to get that repaired as I said I'd let my brother who works on cars take a look. They said that they don't know how long it will stay cold again with the new Freon. In the following days we started to notice an immense about of water pooling in the passenger side floor board. I don't know much about cars but I took a look and couldn't tell where it was coming from. It took a couple weeks for my brother to take a look at the vehicle and in the mean time water was consistently soaking the passenger side floor board so intensely that the condensation was causing the seats to be wet. When my brother looked at the vehicle he found that a A/C drain had been unplugged and was leaking into the floor causing the issue. There was never any leaks to the floor prior to the vehicle being seen by Ice Cold Air. Not only that but the condenser had nothing wrong and the A/C stayed cold once the Freon was replaced. This has caused a mildew smell in the vehicle and rust on the metal underneath the carpet. DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE!

I was in Clearwater without my husband who handles all car issues when the hose carrying the oil on my car failed. I was referred to Dennis's shop on Court by the manager of the apartment building. Dennies's manner was so kind and confident, that I was certain that he would help me save my car. He made showed me what had failed (looked like a bunch of black, curly tubes) and said he would replace all the hoses to ensure they would be safe. Since then, we have used them on several other issues, as we have older cars. Donnie and Travis always are kind and welcoming. The repairs are done with the greatest care and the cost is reasonable.

Jan 21, 2022Previous reviewI am in FL for an extended period of time, on my own. I need a decent mechanic to help keep my car running well. I have been to their shop for different issues and each time, they got the issues, no matter how serious or small, handled in an efficient manner, reasonably priced. When my husband came down to visit, he had them go over his 1999 sedan and now he says it drives better than it has in years. Really good guys, doing really good worl.

The 1-star reviews are hidden. Read the not recommended reviews. Horrible value here. They use very cheap products and then try to upsell you on everything. There is a reason they are cheaper, and that is because nothing gets fixed properly and that it will cost you more in the long run. They will get your foot into the door and then rip you off

I've been having trouble diagnosing my taillight problem. I already got it fixed somewhere and it didnt fix it. The taillight is having poor contact and not lighting up at night. they took my car in a timely manner and told me what was wrong with it and also gave me a heads up that if that doesn't work we'll then have to replace the part that's being faulty. They have a great deal on a full synthetic oil change and when i tried to make an appt for the following day I found out they are doing remote training online! Awesome spot. So glad i found it.

I came with an estimate from the dealer due to allegedly leaking ball joints that needed an almost $1,400 repair. In fact we were going to get it done with some coupons there but they were unable to schedule us on 3 different occasions.
The car ended up with Dennis on Court Street for a second opinion. After his Tech found nothing wrong with the car, Dennis himself checked it out and still found nothing wrong. He then allowed me to look at it myself and I was shocked to realize that there was in fact nothing wrong despite what the Service Advisor at the dealership told me. Dennis in fact insisted that this was very unusual and he even attempted to protect their reputation.
I know that this might have been the error of some untrained or new Tech over there or someone who is just a crook. That is not the point of this review, it might have been an honest error and I will definitely give them the benefit of the doubt.
