You all know that I've been a Yogilicious girl since the beginning -- since before anyone else discovered it.  However, Yogilicious has changed.  In a bad way.  This has sent me searching for something to fill the froyo void in my heart.  (Heart...ha....)

Anyway, hear this -- the opinion of not one but THREE girls who once were Yogilicious die-hards.  I Heart Yogurt is........BETTER.

I'll say it again, before you rush out to get an updated eye exam.  BETTER.  BETTER than Yogilicious.

Hello.  I Heart Yogurt.  I do.

The quality of yogurt at I Heart Yogurt was WAY better.  I swear, I never thought I'd say that, but I did...multiple times.  One of my friends, who was allllll about the vanilla flavor at Yogilicious, took one taste of the vanilla at I Heart Yogurt and declared that she would never go back to Yogilicious.  I'm serious, I think I saw tears of joy in her eyes.  Another of my friends fell in love with their creamy coconut flavor, which I agree was miles beyond the coconut flavor at Yogilicious.  And as for myself?  This little piggy fell in love with their "original" flavor (aka "plain"), which was soooooooo much more tart than the flavor at Yogilicious.  And I cried "whee! whee! whee!" all the way home.

As for toppings?  They've got everything I ever wanted at Yogilicious -- and although the mochi isn't as good (not as chewy), the blueberries were plumper and fresher.

Oh, and it's cheaper than Yogilicious by the ounce.  Oh, and it's coming soon to Uptown.  Oh, and I'm SO THERE.

Oh and hey...did I mention that I Heart Yogurt has a pistachio flavor????  It wasn't on rotation tonight, but as soon as I'm able to try it, I'll determine whether I Heart Yogurt deserves a full 5 stars.  (The mere availability of pistachio will probably be enough for it to get bumped up, since Yogilicious seems to have permanently retired theirs...and I Heart Yogurt's would probably be better anyway.  Ouch.  It's sad, how the world has changed.)

Sitting at home eating ice cream out of a carton gets tired and lonely. So when I heard that others were finding true happiness with frozen yogurt, I was intrigued but a little scared. Trying to find one to wed in tasty frozen bliss or at least seriously date would be a challenge. I read I Heart Yogurt's profile online and thoughts we might be a match so I took the next step.

First impressions: I Heart Yogurt was appealing. It had a variety of flavors but nothing really deep. It does tart well, but overall the choices are kind of dull. Additionally, the machines are slow and create a really hard product ....but still, I was keeping an open mind that I would see I Heart Yogurt again.

Next: I went to pay for this encounter and "Yikes". Expensive date + attitude? 40 cents an ounce is certainly more than I have spent on others and I would have to hand it over to some snippy teen who was bothered that she had to stop texting to accept my wallet-full of cash. I'm sorry that daddy made you get a stupid job so you could earn your OWN money for once. Maybe you can simply lock the door right now so that we demanding customers don't keep you from your deep discussion of OMGs and WTFs.

Despite that, I did see I Heart Yogurt a second time. just to be sure. I  have come to the conclusion that other yogurt joints are more my type but I still may be friends with I Heart Yogurt. It is close and sometimes better options aren't available. On occasions, when I am OK with settling, I'll come by and see it.

This is a place that I would really like to give 3.5 stars. I guess I haven't really gotten into the fro-yo craze (with the exception of Pinkberry, but there isn't a Pinkberry here--yet!!!), tart things don't really appeal to me and I'm more of a gelato person anyway. That being said, I still went because I love sweets, and I knew that there were non-tart options awaiting me.

One of the differences between this place and Yogilicious is that you have to request the sample cups from the girl working at the register.. and she only gave me three. Um, three? You have about 10-12 flavors here and I want to sample them all! Most of the flavors were pretty good, but as an avid mango lover, I found the mango to be quite disappointing. I finally decided on a blend of peanut butter and NY cheesecake, and topped it off with some candy toppings.

One of the reasons why this place loses some points is because your options in serving size come in Huge and Really Frickin Ginormous. I guess this is how they get you.. you come in with hungry eyes and fill your cup to the brim, only to be slightly embarrassed when they weigh your monstrosity of a dessert. They do give you lids if you ask, so that's good if you can make it home and stick it in the freezer before it melts. Also, they don't have water.. No tap water or even water for sale. I'm going to need something to wash down all that dairy!!

I have finally tried Pinkberry as of today.  I never thought I would say this, but I think I Heart Yogurt is Much better!   I was eating I Heart just waiting on a Pinkberry to finally arrive, but it was an overall letdown compared to the flavor and tang of I Heart's original flavor.  Awesome quality!

One of my coworkers introduced me to the growing frozen yogurt craze that's made it's way into the Dallas area. We both ventured over to Ihearty one Friday after work because neither of us had been yet. Ok, it's official, I'm a yogurt addict.

I live in Rockwall so the numerous fro yo places in DFW are all pretty far and tcby is definitely not anything to compare to Ihearty. The self serve method is great and the place is always really clean, there's someone who cleans up any drips pretty consistently. I like the original tart a lot, it's labeled "Italian original" here, but I also really enjoy the Tahitian vanilla, mango, French espresso and strawberry. I've tried the chocolate before but it's almost too much sweet to have a whole cupful. Have yet to try the peanut butter and I haven't seen the green tea flavor here yet.

The fruit toppings are always really fresh, they refill them really often. I don't think they're frozen but if they are, you can't tell. Mochi is fab and the candy selection is pretty extensive but I usually just go for strawberries, mochi and fruity pebbles or kiwi and raspberries. Like someone else said, the cup sizes are freaking enormous so be careful when you're filling up or you might end up spending upwards of $6 for one cup especially at 40 cents an ounce. However, compared to a place like Orange Cup, you're getting a lot more yogurt and toppings for your money because of the self serve.

Also, the seating inside is extremely limited and the clear plastic chairs are super uncomfortable. My least favorite thing though is the blaring music that they play, it's always house/techno-esque music turned up way too loud.

This self-service fro-yo joint was hopping on a Sunday night. It was like as if all of Preston Hollow's finest and their rat pack descended on I Heart Yogurt (IHY).

If your heart is set on do it yourself fro-yo where there are countless fro-yo flavors and toppings to choose from, then this place is for you. On any given Sunday (or any other day) you'll find a dozen different flavors. We liked French cappuccino the best, but found the consistency of all the fro-yo a bit hard versus silky smooth. Minus a star because of the quality of the yogurt. I'm happy to sacrifice some variety for higher quality yogurt personally. The topping bar is plentiful and the strawberry mochi is a nice add.

It's a bit hard not to pay less than $6 or try to get anything small here because the smallest size offered is the equivalent of a large anywhere else. Their only other size, the XL, is ridiculously large. It's virtually a bucket so large you could probably use it to feed your chow chow. Portion control will be a challenge at IHY.

If you're averse to bright colors, make sure to bring some shades because the interior is very...bright. Patrons can write about their love affair for IHY on the walls. The small river rock flooring is a nice touch.

IHY is a good choice for fro-yo if you're in the hood, especially if you're a self serve fro yo fan. If you're not, better try your luck elsewhere like Berry Berry.

Well damn.  My frozen yogurt world has officially been rocked.  I thought Yogilicious was king but now I'm a bit torn.  I stopped into I Heart Yogurt on my way home from work today and am already planning my return!

It had a few negatives, which I'll get out of the way here: the biggest one was the service, or lack thereof.  There was one young girl working there who was texting on her phone the ENTIRE time I was there.  She yelled hello in a sing-songy voice whenever someone walked in, but never looked up from her phone.  I went to go ask her for sample cups (I fully intended on trying ALL the samples) and she didn't look up when she gave them to me.  Or when I paid.   It had a totally different feel...not ridiculously crowded like Yogilicious was the last time I went in (good lord) but more like a place rich moms go after a workout or with their daughters.  Also, of course, I can't walk to it like I can to Yogilicious.  And they didn't have Taro.

On to the good...it's self service, just like Yogilicious.  40! (not 35 like I originally thought) cents an ounce.   The flavors were all great except a orange/tangerine sorbet that was pretty weird--the color (and taste) of orange Triaminic.  Let's see how many I can remember:

1. Belgian dark chocolate - tasted like an extra chocolatey frostee
2. Swiss milk chocolate - tasted like an extra creamy frostee
3. California strawberry - tasted like strawberry milk
4/5. French & Italian espresso - both good, I liked Italian better, but not sure why they needed two espressos
6. Cookies n' Cream - meh, didn't really taste like either
7. Green tea - really tart and really good!
8. Tahitian vanilla - really good vanilla flavor
9. Pomegranate - another tart one, really tasty
10. Peanut butter - yum
11. Italian(?) original - supertart plain, double yum! (haven't decided which place does it best)

I mixed the plain, green tea, and pomegranate for a medley of delicious tartness, and added fruity pebbles, yogurt chips, almonds, bananas, strawberries, kiwi, blueberries, blackberries, pineapples, and grapefruit for $5.75.

It was way more than I usually get but I kinda felt bad for spending like 10 minutes trying all the flavors.  I would love to mix the belgian dark chocolate and peanut butter next time and top it with bananas...mmm.  If I can ever force myself to get something other than a tart flavor, that is.

Also, all their containers/packaging (they have lids and bags if you want to take your fro-yo to go) are biodegradable.

So, I guess now my favorite froyo place just depends on what part of town I'm in.  I'm still partial to Yogilicious because I feel like it's a more homey/neighborhood place, but this is some serious competition.  You have to try it!

At .35 cents per ounce it's sorta pricey but the taste is so yummy.  My yogurt cup came out to be $7!   They have the best Strawberry flavor here because it almost tastes like real strawberry ice cream.  It's self serve and I love that I can add all the raspberries and oreo cookies I want on my yogurt.  That's just how I roll!  Seats are limited here because the the store is so small.

Flavors:
pomegranate, strawberry, tart, Tahitian vanilla, n.y. cheesecake, coffee

Oh! & they have strawberry Mochi here for toppings!  Yay!

Please make me stop. OH GAWD. I can't stop!!!
That was me at I Heart Yogurt yesterday.
My roommate and I had never been to a self serve place and why not?!
The flavors were great and the toppings abundant.
I loved the Tahitian vanilla and green tea. Both were amazing. The green tea was just tart enough. Roomie mixed kiwi with green tea and said it was serendipity of how good it was.
I sprinkled fruity pebbles and mochi pieces on mine. Um, for the win?
The cups are HUGE so portion appropriately, that 40 cents an ounce thing adds up quick. I got a great amount of yogurt and toppings for $4.50. That's about how much I would have paid at Berry Berry for two flavors and one topping. I think its pretty safe to say that I heart I Heart Yogurt  and I will be back!

Being from NY, I like to consider myself  a Pinkberry addict, until I found I HEART YOGURT!!!  They have a tart flavor thats WAY better than Pinkberry.  They also have 16 other flavors to choose from plus a million toppings.  I've tried the "copycats" in Uptown and Plano, but it seems that  they all tried to copy these guys from Cali. GO! GO! GO!

It's definitely on the pricey side, but they have great quality yogurt.  I normally only eat tart yogurt, but their sweet flavors here are great.  Make sure you try the French Espresso flavor.

Their mochi balls are good, but not as superb as Yogilicious.  I like mochi balls a lot.

I was really excited to find this place today.

I just moved to Dallas from NYC - where I ate Pinkberry almost on a daily basis. Had to have my icy, tart, delicious yogurt fix.

And I got it here. And the variety of toppings was great. The staff was awesome - very helpful and friendly.  Definitely try the original flavor. That's what it's all about.

I almost dare say it's BETTER than Pinkberry... Yeah. It's that good. Go now.

WAY better than OrangeCup because it's self-serve.  You pick the flavors of yogurt & the toppings.  You pay by the ounce.  Not as many flavor & topping choices as Yogurtland in Carrollton, but it will do!

I Heart Yogurt arguably has the best yogurt in Dallas. Definitely the best Plain Tart out of Natsumi, O-Cup, and Yogilicious. The Tahitian Vanilla is my next favorite, but you probably can't go wrong with any of the flavors.

Self-serve yogurt is the way to go. You can mix and match as you please. You have a tremendous amount of choices for toppings. Your cup of yogurt is right every time because you made it!

Only problem with this place is that the other locations aren't open yet. Waiting for the Uptown location to open....

As a frozen yogurt connesseiur, I naturally felt compelled to yelp i heart yogurt.

Loves:
+ lots of flavors; I being the decadent person I am enjoyed the NY Cheesecake and Cookies & Cream (Tahitan Vanilla is wonderful as well) but I know those who equally enjoyed Pomegranate and Green Tea as well as the Tart
+ the self serve thing for the yogurt is nice if you want a variety and/or a certain amount of either a little bit (to get your fix) or a lot (um, dinner? or an eating your feelings binge?)
+ the self serve topping bar is great and definitely has one of the biggest (if not the biggest) selections; and you can totally control how much you want of each

Not so great:
- the HUGE cups! oh my god they are like 20 oz froyo cups; even I don't eat that much when I'm heartbroken and failing classes...beware that it is very easy to misjudge how much yogurt you have taken, err on the side of minimalism here
- the fact that they do not have a tasting cup (how are you supposed to know what tastes good to you?), which means
A. you must either suck up and eat the (potentially bad) concoction of mixed flavors or
B. like me, and take my advice, grab a spoon so slyly hidden at the check out and go through trying the flavors...awkward looking, but saves you the grief of wasting $5+ on a yogurt that you don't like
- the other customers...sorry to be mean here, but after 3:30pm, this place reeks too much of Hockaday-days, but even worse since for some reason the hoards of children who flock here are almost 100% unsupervised, loud, and messy around the toppings bar

Decorations inside are funky, service isn't stellar. Overall, a middle of the beaten path frozen yogurt experience. The nutritionals aren't particularly fabulous (~25 cals/oz), but a better way to get your cheesecake fix than many other alternatives I can think of. I don't heart this yogurt, but I usually won't say no.

Just heard about this place from my doctor.  (What better recommendation!??)

All yogurt is fat free - 10 different flavors that you can mix and match.  I think it said 80 calories for 4 oz.

All the toppings are organic fruits and nuts - some candies.  I got the biggest blackberries on mine.  Incredible!

The Italian Cappuccino flavor mixed with vanilla and cheesecake were my favorites.  My hubby mixed the green tea and french espresso.  (I thought he was nuts, but it actually was very good.  The Green Tea is VERY tart - but yummy.)

(Are you still here???  GO!)

I had better. If you like some sweat a drip on your toppings, by all means this place be great. I was getting my fro-yo and I decided to pass on toppings being that the person who was attending the toppings area seemed to be a little over sweating on them. So ew. PACUIGOS!

after going to yogilicious(two stars) i thought 'i heart yogurt' was much of the same. the texture is really inconsistent.  almost too liquidy(?).  And to the people who compare this to red mango and pinkberry... umm i dont think so. Their decor is pretty cool.  The furniture and floor... knock off of pinkberry.

I see it more like a self-serve TCBY.  Their 'tart' flavor tastes too 'chemical' as with yogilicious.  Maybe they use the mix from the same supplier.
