I'm going to beg to differ with the more negative reviews here and say that I've always had a good experience with HP Mobil and Car Wash. I've never brought my car in for any kind of repairs or anything (so I can't say much about that), but I've always had a good experience with the car wash--not all of the people who work there are warm and friendly, but they do a good job, and they will remember you if you are a regular. A little tipping helps, and they will go out of their way to make sure you are satisfied. Having had some pretty bad experiences at car washes, this one stands out as a good one.
I wanted to put something on here because there are so few reviews and I seem to have had a very different experience than the other reviewer. While I was initially very skeptical of this place, I have been won over both by the fact that they are in HP and that they have typically done what needs doing. I admit, communication can be confusing at times, but Ernesto (I believe his name is) always gets my car fixed, and it needs work far too often. While repairs are sometimes expensive, they are not at all outrageous based on my experience with my car, and in fact there have been occasions where the cost is actually less than his estimate. I vastly prefer that to the opposite case. Anyway, I just wanted to put in my two cents and say I think it is a decent place that gets the job done.
The service station here is terrible. I've made several appointments for simple things like batteries or oil changes that have been wantonly disregarded -- they'll just close up shop at 2:00 in the afternoon. Don't trust these guys.
The good people of Hyde Park Car Wash simply do not take pride in a job well done. This isn't the sort of place where the staff will go the extra mile to make you happy. The amount of services you pay for has no bearing on how many services you receive, so save the undercarriage spray in the winter there is little sense in paying for anything more than the basic wash. This place gets two stars instead of one because it is the only car wash in hyde park and because they have the good sense to take off your car's antenna before it goes through their machine.
