5 reviews for Hyatt Summerfield Suites
Convenient location, very nearby local restaurants, El Camino, 101, 280, and 380.
Their suites are really nice. They have a full kitchen with a oven. Not a huge amount of counter space, but about what you would expect from a hotel. They have a small dining table (typical hotel type) so that makes it more comfortable. They also have a couple herman miller chairs (if you're into comfy office chairs -- these are the best!)
One big bonus is the two room suites are on separate sides of the living room, and each has it's own full closet and bathroom and plenty of privacy (since the living room separates the two)
One recommendation, if you have a lot of luggage, mention it to the desk clerks because there are no elevators. If you're carrying in a ton of stuff (extended stay) and you're on the 3rd floor it's a mini workout.
Great perk --
They let us check in significantly early on a Sunday. Yay! Made our life tremendously easier.
Decent for the price.
Not sure what type of hotel this was before (maybe a Motel 6? or similar), but they are obviously still in the process of upgrading. Our room was ok. Had a king room on one side, double bed room on the other with kitchen/living room in between. Nice kitchen, not big, but sufficient for the 3 days we were there.
There were several maintenance issues (like a bathroom cabinet door that fell off on my foot) and looked like the hotel room door itself had been kicked in at some point and had been hastily patched and painted.
Otherwise, the room was ok. Beds were comfy (I tried both). Pillows were good, comforters and sheets were good.
Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping staff were also really nice folks.
Breakfast was VERY basic. This was a real weak spot. But for this super cheap rate, I didn't expect much and they did have Starbucks coffee.
There is a bit of a noise problem. If you have someone above you, it is really loud. Our first two nights were great. The third night a group with kids checked in and they ran in and out, slamming the doors. Sounded like they were wrestling or moving furniture after that. Probably just thin floors and walls.
They do allow pets (for a price) check their website (and/or specific hotel) for details. This was a big plus for us since we were moving out of our house and needed to keep our dog with us.
Overall, 2-1/2 to 3 stars.
Value for money: Good.
As other reviewers said, if you have a lot of luggage, request a lower level room --- there are NO elevators.
We stayed at the Summerfield Suites last Thursday as it was moving night. The room was spacious with two bedrooms, a decent size family room, and a small kitchen. Everything was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful with buttery mini danish and muffins, tender ham, fresh cantaloupe, and excellent Yoplay Raspberry and Strawberry yogurt. So, for a comfortable room and hardy breakfast at a low rate, the Summerfield Suites cannot be beat. Keep up the good work guys.!

I wish there was a way I could rate 1/2 stars... I pump this one up to 3 1/2... but I cannot justify a 4* here.
That said, this is always my first choice for business travel because of the convenience, service appropriate to the price, and ammenities.
It puts me in easy walking distance to work, comes with a kitchen, has a nice jacuzzi.
The minuses:
* No elevators. . . drag your stuff upstairs. I like to stay in the main building on the second floor for this reason (I do NOT like listening to the noise of my upstairs neighbors walking about)!
* Breakfast food is typically lacking and either empty or stale.
The pluses:
* Friendly, helpful staff that really work to accomodate your need AND wants
* A shuttle will take you to a local restaurant if you don't mind waiting a bit, so you can avoid having to rent a car for long stays if you're highly focused on work (as I typically am on business travel).
* the rooms are spacious and have a very functional kitchen. You'll often end up with a two bedroom suite. VERY nice for families!
* Location for those that are doing business at Oracle... there is NO other hotel closer.

We rented 7 2-bedroom suites for a wedding party. Suites are clean, spacious and have full equipped kitchens. Breakfasts are okay and ur relatives had a good stay. With the price we had for the weekend, it'd be better worth to stay here than any hotels nearby.
