Beautiful hotel and casino- recently remodeled and spa added.

This hotel has a private beach, is five minutes to ski resort and has the best bar (Lone Eagle) lakeside. You can sit outside by the fire pits or inside and watch the storms roll in and out.

Dinner can be pricey but you can't beat a cocktail and listening to Luke strum his guitar and sing along to his music.

I've had gathering with kids here and the pool is wonderful, pathway runs along a creek outside and with different restaurants you can find something for everyone- coffee shop- grille- lone eagle

Was here for a friend's wedding this weekend. They could not have chosen a better venue. The staff was great and everything went off beautifully. The wedding was on the beach and it was a gorgeous day. Could not have scripted it better.

The hotel itself is pretty good, good clean rooms and good restaurants. Reminds me of Tenaya Lodge in Yosemite.

I frequent Lake Tahoe, often. So my traveling partner and I, earlier this month, decided to stay at Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe at Incline Village, Nevada.

Keep in mind the following: this is a typical casino destination; also keep in mind that this property was acquired by Hyatt from a former builder/owner (thus, it is NOT a typical, newer Hyatt property) despite renovations including a significant spa and pool area and lakefront dining.

Our arrival was uncomplicated and our room was 'just a usual room' in the hotel tower. What we wanted and received, otherwise, was some nice lakefront dining opportunity, beach time, hiking in the area, and spa time. We got just that.

The spa and gym area, and the pool (adjacent or within the main lodge area) has recently been upgraded and expanded. We were impressed! Large locker room areas, soft music, lounge area including waters, tea, fruit, towels and robes - sauna, steamroom and shower areas before massage treatments.

My massage therapist was just OK, however. Keep in mind that the Tahoe area has seasonal 'periods'. This therapist told me that this was his last day and the resort and that he was leaving for Hawaii for 5 months. I think his departure from Tahoe for Hawaii started before he started on my 80 minute treatment.  But these things happen - perhaps inquire of your therapist (years of training, time at the Resort, etc. before you book).

Otherwise, nice job Hyatt.

This is the perfect place for a quick, romantic getaway.  It's a smaller hotel in the middle of a residential area and has its own private beach (across the street). There's plenty of free parking.  The staff are very friendly and you're offered a glass of champagne at check in.  The rooms are clean and a good size.  There are 3 different restaurants to choose from onsite, ranging from cheap to very expensive.   Its overall just very cozy with fireplaces and firepits everywhere.  If you have kids, there's also a well sized arcade downstairs.

I do have to say, be careful when walking around the beach.  There are numerous geese that hang out there and they poop everywhere!  Other than that, if you feel like relaxing, this is a good place to stay at!

Absolutely loved this place. Great rooms, great staff and a beautiful private beach. We went during the summer for our mini-honeymoon. We took the catamaran cruise at 4pm and that was such a blast. Met some great people on the boat and the guys that worked on the boat were really friendly. My ONLY complaint (that I wont' remove a star from because it was like a drop int he bucket) was the blond bartender who served us at the floating bar on Tuesday night. She honestly served everyone else at the bar before us, including some people that showed up after we sat down. We waiting for a solid 20 minutes before she served us. I wish I could remember her name because she shouldn't be a bartender. The brunette the night before was awesome though, so the bar itself isn't the problem.

The concierge is there for every you need, super helpful. The pools were nice and I love that they have an adult only GIANT hot tub. Kids are ok but I hate the thought of swimming in their pee.

Man am I a spoiled* little sib... my bro and sis-in-law took me to Tahoe for the weekend to hang out and I had such an incredible time.

When I reviewed their awesome website, I was stoked weeks ahead of time to come here.  The hotel resort was close to the lake, had awesome pools, firepits and jacuzzis!   When I actually arrived at the resort, I was even more excited to find out that there was a jogging trail across the street, bikes** to rent for $10, and the pool was a whopping 4ft at its peak (because I don't know how to swim).  I was also entertained watching my sibs play blackjack in the casino at night w/ all the ahem*characters that frequent this place.

Tip: Consider staying on the 11th floor w/ Regency Club access, because you can indulge in a pretty decent continental brekkie, lots of snackies at happy hour time, and soft beverages round the clock!!  :)

*Actually, these are all reparations for the childhood torment of bossing me around, taunting me with ideas thatI was adopted, leaving me out of games, ignoring me, etc etc.    kidsister4lyfe

**Let it be known that I got on a bike for the first time since I was 12... and only had one minor mishap of almost running down an old lady.

Quaint, comfortable, and very cozy!

This Hyatt is pretty small but has pretty much all the amenities and restaurants you would want in a hotel.  The highlight meal here was actually at the Sierra Cafe's breakfast buffet.  YUM!  I will yelp separately for that.

We stayed here for a weekend in April and it was such a comfortable place to be.  The parking lot is super close to the hotel so it's a very short walk.  Once in, you walk through the casino and the elevators are nearby.  I really liked the fact that all the restaurants and retail shops are centered around the lobby.  You don't have to walk alot as you would at other hotels or resorts.

Our room was clean and very standard.  My only complaint was that all the toiletries were made with eucalyptus.  I seriously felt like a lumberjack after my shower :)  So ladies, bring your toiletries if you don't want to smell like a man...

The casino was quaint and all the dealers were super nice.  My husband had a craps tutorial by himself and 3 dealers.  1 hour later and $200 lighter, he was a craps professional and swears it was worth the money.

We went to the Sierra Cafe for lunch yesterday and we were treated to a very good lunch from a food perspecitve and a terrible lunch from a service perspective.  Our waiter was slow, did not offer us bread, disappeared for long periods of time and worst of all, needs to spend more time at his ESL classes to make his English speaking skills passable.   I had the chicken sandwich and my wife had the steak.   The steak was a very pleasant surprise.   The cost of the items on their menu were a little high, but the atmosphere and view were worth the extra cost.  The most distrubing part of the lunch is that they allow birds to walk all over the tables and they reuse the place mats....so, given how dirty birds can be, I question the cleanliness of the table tops.   Next time we will go to the Lone Eagle grille as the customer service would have to be better there.

I didn't stay at the hotel but I went to the bar on the lake for Thursday happy hour. During summer this is amazing. You get an unobstructed view of the lake and mountains. It's worth having a couple of $10 cocktails and taking in the scenery. You can cruise up on your boat and they give it a good scrub. (I don't have a boat but I watched the staff clean a few for tips.)

We went to the Hyatt's Sierra Cafe on a Wednesday because they offered a buffet breakfast.  From looking at the Sierra Cafe menu we figured it would be overpriced.  The food was decent, but I've definitely seen better.  We had poor service and I think that is inexucasable for a place of this calibar.  When you're paying high prices, you should get great service and it's not that hard to do in a buffet.  The buffet was $22 and it had an omelet station, breakfast cereals galore, pancakes, scrambled eggs, some fruit, toast and muffins, smoked salmon & cheeses, apple crepes, bacon and sausage.  I probably wouldn't go back.

Despite having a really horrible vacation here (ex-boyfriend's fault, not Hyatt's), I liked the rooms at the Hyatt on North Shore. They were nice, clean, quiet, and comfortable. They're not particularly large, but they're equal or slightly better in quality standards compared to any other major Hyatt location. The only difference from the other Hyatt locations I've seen is that the decor was appropriately more rustic and Tahoe-themed. The hotel staff was super-friendly even though my companion was a jack***. There was decent Internet access in the hotel room, too.

The casino downstairs blew though! When I was there I was only 21, and the dealers were fairly rude to my ex-boyfriend and me. But the worst part was the crowd was all people my parents' age, which is fine and dandy. Just felt weird not having anyone young there. The tables just didn't have much energy or excitement. No one seemed to be winning.

We ate a few times at the restaurant downstairs. Nothing memorable. I remember they had some pretty scrumptious desserts on the menu, but I didn't try any of them.

I'd definitely recommend this place to couples and families for R&R, but young singles looking to party should stick to South Lake Tahoe.

Thanks to the generosity of my in-laws, we spent the weekend at the Hyatt.  If you are looking for a resort experience, rather than what I think of as the traditional Tahoe cabin experience, the Hyatt is a nice choice for families or an event.  It wouldn't be my pick for a romantic place to stay.

My son LOVED the main pool that ranges from 3 1/2 to 4 feet with a seat/ledge around much of the edge and featuring a basketball hoop.  They also have two hot tubs (one adult only) and a kiddie pool, plus a small playground for little kids.  Across the street they have their own "private" beach with full service on lounge chairs, umbrellas, food/drink, etc.  Expect to pay $14 plus drink and tip for your kids chicken strips and fries for lunch.

The staff here at the Hyatt Resort are attentive and managed to please everyone in our extended family (4 rooms of us)...which let me tell you, is not easy to do.  They have lots of activities you can buy into, including their own catamaran on the lake.  We had the grandparents as babysitters...but one thing their kids club does in the evening is roast marshmallows over a firepit near the pool, which I know the kids in our family would have loved.  Saturday night they also offered a kids movie at the pool with popcorn and everything.  Our kids enjoyed taking that in with grandma & grandpa.

Oh, and the kids also were really into the small arcade on the lower level.  My son just started playing Wii Pinball...so he had fun on the one working (Simpsons) pinball machine.  Our kids are still a little young for arcade games...but they enjoyed the "Skittle" game (think mini version of Skeeball but you pull a spring to launch the ball instead of rolling it up a ramp.)  It gave a bouncy ball prize with each play.  One of the four driving games took our $, which the front desk happily refunded.  A large percentage of the arcade machines were various types of shooting games.  I don't know...I guess they figure Tahoe draws out all the hunter types.  As a gamer who isn't into FPS games...I think the arcade could benefit from a better mix of game genres.

For the adult gamers, there is also a casino at the hotel.   The minimum bet at blackjack tables on weekends was $10.  They had a couple of craps tables and four poker tables going...and live music too.  We ended up taking a short ride to the Stateline casinos one of the nights.  The crowd at the Hyatt is a bit more "upscale"...although certainly not dressy and probably just as drunk.

There were a few minor things that account for the lacking star like a wall mount hair dryer that they stored in the closet, so that when you used it the thing banged on the countertop the whole time...and tripped the electric outlet about every 90 seconds.

Truly, I think this place deserves 4.5 stars. They have a restaurant, a bar, a casino, a spa, pool with a small lagoon and firepit. Unfortunately, their room service food wasn't the best I've had, so it gets rounded down.

From the moment of our arrival we were treated really well. Offered to take our bags up for us--but Rob said we were fine on our own (yeah, YOU were. I'm about to pass out from being so tired, dammit!) Our check in went smoothly and the girl at the front desk was very sweet. We were also told all the amenities that came with the room--and that in order to get to our floor, we had to insert our room key. Let me tell yah--there is nothing more awesome than a couple of kids in the elevator asking what floor they can press the button for you, and you responding with, "Oh, sorry. I have to use my room key to get to my floor". Everyone has to say they've done that at least ONCE in their life.

When we went to Big Water Grille, we found out that we didn't have to take a cab--we could be driven by their valet! That was wonderful because we already had started the party by popping open the bottle of Veuve I had bought him a few weeks ago in my inebriated state he wanted to save for his birthday. They even arrived to pick us up *right* as we were leaving! PERFECT timing.

Their casino was alright--it wasn't Reno or Las Vegas, but it was still nice. On Saturday after a few drinks at the Cutthroat Saloon we went over to the blackjack table and I stole a few chips from Steve and Rob. Of course, I have never gambled in my life and hit on 18....and drew a THREE. Highlight of the night, because even the dealer was surprised. Yes, I'm that awesome. I made about 60 bucks, but didn't stop until I broke even. And by "break even" I mean spending everyone elses money. I was disappointed they didn't have a craps table open--I wanted to blow on some dice (what?!).

Their room service arrived promptly in the morning, and there were small dark chocolates on our pillows when we arrived, and the bed itself was super comfortable--but our room was strangly cold on Sunday. The shower was spacious and the shampoo/conditioner/body wash was one of the best I've used at a hotel. I like the smell of eucalyptus peppermint, but that's just my taste.

Their concierge was very helpful and on top of things. When we would ask for something, it was right there. They wanted to make sure that our stay was as comfortable as possible, and made every effort to ensure that.

The room we stayed in gave us access to a private lounge that offered hor d'oeurves and cocktails, desserts and cordials and a deluxe continental breakfast throughout the day, but we were doing our own thing so never used it, but it was there and thats awesome!

If I happen to make it back here, I'll be happy to stay here again!

And thanks Mom and Dad, for in two seperate phone calls, you don't really need to remind me that my aunt and uncle lived in the condos across the street from the hotel when my uncle worked here 20 years ago. You've told me a billion times already. I GET IT.

We had a great time at the Hyatt for 3 nights. The staff was very helpful and nice, the hotel is beautiful, and the casino is the best on the North Shore.

Our room:
We had a large beautiful room overlooking the pool/spa area and the king size bed was very comfortable. One feature I was really happy with was the little clock radio, by iHome, that you could connect your iPod to and listen to music.

The casino:
We played poker all three nights and won big the first two and then lost on our last night. There are a lot of regulars in the poker room (mostly retirees who live in the Tahoe area which makes it like more of a friendly game). Dan, who runs the show in the poker room was VERY nice and made us feel at home. Some of the dealers are nicer than others, but even the cranky ones were funny in their own way. In fact everyone in the casino, from the cashiers to the dealers were very nice and helpful. We felt cared about and appreciated.

The restaurants:
On the whole the restaurant food was good, but not excellent. I never expect excellent quality meals from hotel restaurants in general, but was pretty satisfied. However, the meal we had at the Lone Eagle Grille was a disaster (rip off!). I greatly preferred the Sierra Cafe, especially the breakfast buffet, and the Ciao Mein Trattoria was pretty good. Despite the poor food at the Lone Eagle Grille, I am not deducting any stars because everything else was very satisfying.

The wait staff in the Sierra Cafe and Ciao Mein Trattoria restaurants were extremely friendly. We were told that there is a foreign exchange program (from Latin America) for most of the wait staff in the restaurants within the Hotel. The foreign exchange employees get to work in the hotel for 3 months, while working on a Visa, and then they go back home. The restaurant manager explained that there isn't enough local Tahoe people to furnish all the employees the Hyatt needs for their peek season. They all spoke good english and were very pleasant. We had a very sweet waitress, named Andrea, who was from Brazil.

The Spa:
We both had an 80 minute massage at the downstairs Stillwater Spa. I felt my massage was just OK and my GF really liked hers. The Spa itself was very beautiful and had all the amenities you could want (dry sauna, steam room, showers, etc). The best part of the Spa, for me, was the shower. It had a shower console on the wall that had 4 jet sprayers and a shower spigot above so you were sprayed at all angles creating the most heavenly shower experience I've ever had.

Internet Access:
There was a business center where we could check our emails and check our favorite websites (Yelp), like being at home.

Other Staff:
The concierge was very helpful booking us a snowmobile tour that was a highlight of our stay (separate review for Lake Tahoe Snowmobile Tours, Inc.)

Wrap up:
All in all, I would highly recommend staying at the Hyatt Regency, Lake Tahoe. It's not cheap, but it's a great place to stay and play in the pretty casino. I've always felt that the North Shore casinos are pretty sad, but Hyatt's casino is a very nice place to gamble. We will be back for more poker and good times.

The only way I could afford this place was by joining the players' club and getting comped rooms to entice me to gamble. Funny thing is, I don't gamble that often. So, if you're on a budget but want to feel like a high roller, I suggest joining the payers club and taking advantage of the discounts and comped rooms. The Hyatt is truly worth it.

This is definitely a place to relax and tends to draw the older demo. Don't expect the casino to have the same South Lake energy. It's small, intimate and rarely packed ($5 limits in the morning). The food is tasty but can get a bit pricey, particularly the breakfast buffet and the Lone Eagle Grille (tip: save some dough and eat off the bar menu).

The outdoor pool has it's own indoor entrance (which is pretty cool when it's freezing out). The spas are amazing after a day on the slopes or after losing at the tables. Beware of kids. There's some beach front too for Hyatt customers and a dock that offers drinks and snacks.

I stayed here for my second honeymoon.  The room was very nice but the slamming doors from other guests was getting under my skin it was so loud we could hear every door slam like a shot gun being fired off.  They need to work on that.

The swimming pools with Jacuzzis were large and heated  It was so relaxing just soak and swim with the beautiful scenery of mountains and trees.  I had a massage at their world class spa and it was one of the best experiences at the spa I've ever had.  The locker room had a steam and sauna and large showers.  I could have stayed all day in that retreat. The massage was so relaxing I had to have fallen asleep somewhere in the middle of it.

Never stayed at a Hyatt before. However, I was definitely impressed. It is new and kept very clean and organized. Style fits the whole Lake Tahoe feel. Rooms are moderate size. Room service is fresh and quick.
There is a mini-casino located outside the lobby. The restaurants, pool, and gift shop are easily accessible.
The lake is located on the other side of the property. It was absolutely breathtaking. Facilities were so updated and kept in mint condition.  Would return to again.

Oh yes. This is living. Very, very nice living. Luxury without the snooty factor. That is hard to find these days. Just this morning, I was sitting in their enourmous outdoor hot tub set among the trees thinking how badly I wanted to stay at least one more night. Alas, husband had to drag me out of the joint kicking and screaming. All good things must come to an end.

This tranquil resort and casino is set away from highway 28 and will pleasantly surprise you with all it has to offer. You won't find the flash and cheese of other Tahoe casinos. This place is different in a very good way. Don't get me wrong, I'm known to gravitate towards cheesey, kitschy establishments for a good time, but we were lookin' for some plush accommodations coupled with the rush of irresponsible gambling! That's just what we found at The Hyatt. We knew we were in the right place as soon as we stepped out of the car to find outdoor fireplaces and overhead heaters. And the lobby? Forget about it! Beautiful! Fireplaces, exposed beams, beautiful wall-hangings.

Our room was incredibly clean, tastefully decorated, and huge. We sprung for a room with a balcony that overlooked the pool area. This was especially nice at night when all the trees surrounding the pool were lit up with white lights. The bed blew the Westin's "Heavenly Beds" out of the water. That's really saying something, because I've been known to rave about those beds. I'm a champion sleeper and love a comfortable bed. The linens were perfect as were the pillows. The bathroom was also huge, spotless, and filled with all sorts of yummy-smelling bath products.

The pool area is amazing!  I could write an entire review devoted to the pool. It has indoor swim-up access for those chilly winter days and nights!  Yes, that's right. The pool and hot tubs are open year round. So sweet!  And...it's open until 10PM! OH...and there's a firepit to keep you toasty after a chilly nighttime dip!

Another highlight is the private beach across the street. There were lounge chairs calling our names after we picked up some cocktails at the restaurant/bar at the beach (also totally beautiful). I could spend a lot of time on that beach just kicking back, sipping cocktails (or hot chocolate). Good stuff!

The casino is small, but fun. We played roullette ($4 minimum!) and had a great time with our dealer, Dawn. We also had good luck on the  slots. We're not big drinkers, but definitely had our fair share of complimentary cocktails while we were gambling.  I think the cocktails were to blame for our late night indulgence of chocolate raspberry cake with cream cheese frosting.  In hindsight, it was not a good call and our stomachs did not thank us later, but MAN, it tasted damn good at the time! We exercised better judgment when we decided to order room service for breakfast. Such a treat when you're hungover!

My only regret is that we didn't walk away when we were doing really well at the roullette table....we could have treated ourselves to some spa services. The spa is supposed to be amazing!

I guess I could have spared you the long, drawn out review by simply saying I could live here and be a very, very happy woman!

We were here over this past weekend - found the place to be very over priced for what it was and moved to the Marriott for the second half of the stay for $100 less per night same bed, same pool, more amenities, larger room, less cigarette smoke and casino.

The Hyatt did have a nice bed and great pool, but like I said so does the Marriott. The spa was pretty but not "amazing."  This is also a casino therefore the lobby is full of cigarette smoke and the sounds of slot machines, not very pretty or elegant. The website is very deceiving as per the pictures the hotel appears to be lakeside, not true. The hotel is thru a parking lot and across the street (and thru another parking lot.)

The Lone Eagle Grill is beach side and was quite nice, great service great view, elegant. Could be very nice in the summer time.

The breakfast (Shore Cafe) was so over-priced it was shocking that is probably why it was totally EMPTY everytime we walked by (2 eggs - $14 if you wanted that room-service make that 2 eggs $20.40) especially when you can drive/walk less then 3 blocks and get a great breakfast for about $7.

We also booked a Spa Terrace View room and somehow ended up on the other side of the hotel looking at an ugly roof and trash bins (it was nearly mid-nite when we checked in, too late to see and too sleepy anyway) Upon check-OUT they apologized??@#$^*(&^%

pick the Marriott.... unless you smoke, gamble.... and want to spend extra money and get nothing for it...in that case I will give you my address you can send some money there.

I've spent a lot of time at the Hyatt in the conference center, as I organize regular meetings here for work.  I'd never spent the night however, until this week.  While it was a brief stay I was pleased to see that the quality of the rooms matched and exceeded the caliber of the meeting room set up and catering.

The room was lovely, even on a lower floor, and the bed was awesome - firm mattress, pillows that weren't too poofy, and one of the easiest to configure alarm clocks I've seen.  And they had Comedy Central on cable, which is my gold standard for hotel cable tv.

I didn't have a chance to use the gym or pool facilities, but they looked inviting.  Had I remembered the resort fee is levied on your room bill whether you use the facilities or not I might have tried to wake up earlier to hit the gym.

Service wise, whether as a hotel guest or a conference services user, I've been impressed with the consistently helpful and friendly staff.   As a local I've learned that this is not something to assume or take for granted here!

We stayed here during 2007 NYE week.  Loved the whole mountain cabin decor of the hotel lobby with its huge fireplace.  There's a small casino with slot machines, black jack, couple craps tables and even a poker room.  Nothing like Vegas, but people usually go into South Lake for the bigger casinos.

Our rooms were really comfy and it was nice to wake up in the morning and walk out of our patio door into the winter white snow wonderland!

As expected, the spa was super nice and tranquil.  I had the best massage experience! Forgot the name of the therapist, but it was a young male with great hands!

Overall, I loved the hotel.  Service was fast, staff were all friendly.  Everything was pretty convenient.  We rented snowboarding gear next to the hotel lobby and purchased our lift tickets there as well.  There's also a computer unit in the lobby so we were able to check-in online for our flights before we got to the airport.

The hotel is located on the north side of the lake so it felt isolated, which had its pros and cons.  The drive into South Lake is about 45 mins from the hotel so you will definitely need a car and a designated driver.

This place has been renovated over the past few years, and they've done an amazing job! Comfy rooms, lodgy-feel, and a really great casino. The pool area (heated indoor/outdoor), and the hot tub are fantastic too. The casual restaurant and the Cutthroat Saloon execute their menus flawlessly.

What's most impressive is the overall attention to detail. They provide really great service, at a completely reasonable rate.

Great place for a getaway resort weekend.  The spa is top notch and has great facilities.  Had a massage and facial and both were very relaxing.  The rooms are clean and pretty spacious.  Decor is definitely "rustic cabin" themed, but it's comfortable.  Concierge is very helpful and all the staff was very friendly.  Got a AAA rate that included breakfast buffet, which was decent.  Dinner at their fancy restaurant was quite good and in a nice lakeside setting.  The hotel is not cheap, but it's a great place to escape, especially since North Lake Tahoe is much quieter than the South Lake.

Stillwater Spa is to die for.  The facilities are top notch - wonderful massage therapists, big power showers, elegant dressing room, and peaceful surroundings.

They also give you some flip flops, care pack - raisor, toothbrush, and paste, and a wonderfully soft bathrobe to roam around in.  Truly a first class experience.

I've stayed here a few times... the first was in one of the cabins. It was kick. ass. We had our own fireplace, kitchenette, kitchen table, master bedroom, balcony. Located away from the main hotel in a quiet area for just the cabins, over by the Lone Eagle Grill for their amazing champagne brunch. It was simply awesome. I've also stayed in their other rooms before and they've always been above average on the "standard hotel" decor & cleanliness scale. The service at this Hyatt has always been exceptional. I'd certainly consider staying here on the merits of the hotel alone, but there's more!

The casino is hands down my favorite place to gamble in North Lake (and maybe all of Tahoe...). It's not too big but they've got all the popular games (Craps, Roulette, Black Jack, etc) and they keep everything really well staffed even when its quiet. I can't help but feel a little exclusive and special when I gamble at the Lake Tahoe Hyatt.

As a couple others have mentioned, I definitely suggest getting a players card so you can take advantage of all the great discounts they offer. The rooms book fast so its only good for trips you plan in advance but it can easily save you $200+ dollars.

Grew up staying at this hotel on holidays and winter vacations- it has become so familiar to me now - the staff are friendly and helpful, the lobby is beautiful with a warm fireplace and reading chairs as well a a restaurant and of course a small casino. The rooms are great and some have great views. My favorite part of this Hyatt is the spa... amazing massages and they'll even come set up their table in your room. Also has a great selection of cottages on site and the lake is right across the street! One of my favorite places to "get away."

Didn't actually stay the night.  Actually, we were there for a book signing and lecture and we had a great time.  Beautiful location, helpful staff, nice food, great views, etc.  My husband didn't like his sandwich at the cafe and they didn't charge.  Nothing wrong with the sandwich, he just didn't like it.  Still, they didn't charge.  Everyone seemed happy and satisfied.

this stay was a while back now so i'm going off of memory vapors. easy, forest setting.

[details]
typical luxury resort focused Hyatt with absolute nor-cal flair.  the beach setting was remarkable even with the perfect mid-summer, crystal clear blue sky, breezy day.  waves lapping up on a near pristine alpine beach. private beach tents flapping in the wind and an increadible bar on a pier stretched out 50 or so feet onto the lake.

the staff were courteous and down to earth (nor cal) while still very professional.

the garden paths although not extensive offer the opportunity for relaxing walks through what seems like a forest yet the hotel is just yards away.

i didn't stay the night as i was only there for the afternoon and evening post river-rafting. if it's a vacation destination in tahoe for the summer - this is absolutely the spot. peaceful, classy, laid back and set against the pristine beauty of north lake tahoe.

i'll be back for certain.

We had a great time at this hotel. We had a mountain view room w/ a king bed and the service was impeccable. We were greeted twice by employees even before we got to the front desk to check in. Our safe was locked and someone came up right away to open it up for us. The bathroom was great along with their shampoo and conditioner. We also liked the room size and our balcony. I would definitely stay here again. I do wish they had an adults only pool section as it was difficult to relax amidst 12,000 screeching children, but hey, I have that problem at any hotel.

This is for the resort part of the establishment. They have these cottages that are the water away from the main hotel that are fantastic. Private beach and other luxuries that make you feel like the rest of the mafia in the area. If you're going to take a vacation and stay in Incline than do yourself a favor and set up shop here.

This is a nice spot to gamble all your money away for those in North Shore who don't want to go all the way down to the strip.  The casino is small and mellow.  There are only a few tables for each game but theres plenty of slots for everyone else.  The arcade downstairs is hard to find, but its a lot cheaper than the casino and they have some sweet games.  I swear the hotel might be a little haunted, but it has a good Tahoe vibe to it.  Oh and the servers are a bit slow in the casino.  Probably because there's only like 1 of them, so when you get a hold her, you might want to grab more than one drink.

I rounded my rating to a 3.  4 stars for the actual hotel and restaurant on the lake and 2 for the casino.  So, if you are looking for a nice hotel on the lake you can trust this one.  Service was really spotty but they were slammed so I will cut them some slack.  The restaurant on the lake is delicious.  We have sat in the lounge both times we have gone and the bar menu is really great.  Drinks are fantastic.  But that casino is awful!  I am certain they train their dealers to be rude and non-engaging to their clients.  It was so bad that people at our table starting mocking the dealers and calling them robots.  Half the fun of gambling is the interaction with the table and dealer.  And they really don't like to have fun there.  Jump in your car and drive down to Crystal Bay...you will not regret it!

back in the good old day when our big group of friends would get together every 4th of july in tahoe the hyatt regency would be the place to be. during the day we spent hours in the sun at the beach but when the sun went down we would make the short walk from the cabin at incline village to the casino at the hyatt.

we always had the best of times at this casino as they had the best payouts, live entertainment and a really great bar. there was always so much going on at this place it would definitively be the place to be. this entire resort is so nice and the staff is really friendly and will go out of the way to help you in any way. no matter what we did during our week in tahoe we would always seem to finish up our night at the hyatt.

one night we left garwoods grill and i got stuck driving my friends company car and i missed our turn so i made a turn and little did i know that the ravine on the side of the road was so deep and we ended up stuck down in a ditch. the car was stuck it wouldn't budge! to our surprise we found help but it was a sheriff. he was an older gentleman and totally cool and called a tow truck to pull the car out. 10 minutes later we were pretty much on our way and he said,"let's just see what you would've blew" ugh! so i blew and i was over the limit and freaking out but lucky for me we were just over the nevada line by literally 100 feet. i was safe. from this point on everyone else that was in the car also wanted to blow and see what they come out at! i couldn't believe, this not a good idea! well we were all over and the sheriff made up walk over to the hyatt regency to mellow out and we did so i gambled and lost while the others pretty much passed out in the lobby.

i never had to pay for a room here but i sure saw so much of this great resort.

Nicer than all the Cal-Neva resorts combined (which doesn't say much). (And don't mention South Lake - please, one wouldn't ever consider spending their time or easily-earned money in such a place.) Nice blackjack dealers, especially Too Tall Ted. i was down repeatedly, but made everything back in the last half hour.

This place is on the extreme... old people can enjoy and so can families with children....there were 2 pools and 2 hot tubs... 1 for the kids and the other for adults, that goes for the hot tubs too. Hyatt Hotels offer a Camp Hyatt and a nanny service which we took advantage of, our children loved it. We did receive some glares from old folks, not my fault my kids yell out with laughter when they are in the pool. In the evening, we were told to keep it down because our friends (minus the children) were being too loud for the old patrons. We were in the saloon and it was 7pm, the casino was quiet, it's definately not Las Vegas but it's a CASINO PEOPLE!  I have to say this place is for old people or young families, nothing really inbetween.  The rooms were great, we stayed Lakeside (across the street from the main hotel) and had an amazing view of the lake... the food was average. The beach was AMAZING, it's private which makes it even better... they provided everything and made an effort to make everyone feel comfortable.

Four stars for the super friendly staff, amazing heated pool and hot tubs for kids of all ages and the lovely decor.  The food at the Sierra cafe and the pub - I forget its name is not great, not even especially good.  Kids don't mind but that is the drawback. We did eat at the Lone Eagle grill but they did not give us a good table - too many kids?  However, two are actually legally adults and we spend a hefty sum when we eat out and I expect a better table for that AND the food was not memorable.   However the rooms are super clean, we have stayed here numerous times and it is a first choice for all four kids - the pool is a huge benefit in the snow when they can still go outside and play in the steaming water - what fun - there is even a fire for the folks trying to watch the kids and not freeze to death.  A better option is to sit in the hot tub, of course with the snow flakes falling all around.  It is just beautiful to be there in the winter.  We don't gamble so I have never set foot in the casino and am glad it is not the dominant theme of the hotel.  Love the hotel, eat somewhere else.
