13 reviews for Hyatt Place Fremont- Silicon Valley
I stayed here overnite for a friend's wedding in Fremont. I took a chance at Hyatt Place and was immediately surprised at the reasonable rate. $65 with tax on a Saturday, very nice!
The parking was free and close to the other hotels I need to visit to pick up friends/family(Marriott & Courtyard)
I'll just comment on the room:
-huge room for a single. nice king-sized bed
-partition separating bed and sofa/living room area; very nice xtra long couch(L-shaped) so ppl could easily crash and feel comfortable
-mini fridge and sink to give it the studio feel.
-HUGE plasma TV with all the computer/TV hookups for presentations, video games, etc.
-very spacious, felt like I was living in a large studio than a stuffy hotel room.
My only two knocks are:
-closet was pretty small
-water heater tended to make a lil noise when I was using the shower.
The other reviews say express my sentiments: huge room, great value, and exceptional service typical of Hyatt. I didn't use the touch-screen kiosks for check-in or ordering food but from what I read, it adds to the already top service this place has. If I gotta stay in Fremont or recommend hotels in the area to family, I'll tell them to stay here.
Our room had a slight urine-y dirty rag smell from the air conditioner and we noted that the bathroom is very small. Also, the refrigerator did not work, which was a bit of a pain but not a deal killer (considering the relatively low price of the hotel).
However, what convinced us never to go back to this hotel is the following incident. Our car was broken into and items stolen from it when it was parked in the hotel parking lot. Now, our car has an alarm system, so this is likely to have been a very loud event, and something that people would have heard. So, when I went to the hotel management, all they said was that they have signs that they are not responsible and didn't even apologize to us.
Now when my wife and I looked around, they had maybe two illegible and weatherbeaten signs. Most of their signs were just that "only guests can park here."
The glass repair person indicated to me that this sort of vandalism is a routine occurrence at this hotel (and area generally). That being the case, the lack of a security camera system or patrol is inexcusable. Certainly, a car alarm is louder than the screams of someone that's attacked - so I'd hate to be a solo traveler coming back late at night from a meeting.
So, I'll never stay at this hotel (or any Hyatt property ever again) - I emailed their corporate VP and etc., and all they did was hide behind their weatherbeaten signs and condescending claims adjuster. Forget it - they run a customer satisfaction business and they didn't even offer me anything to express their apologies.
Not to be recommended. This is just a overblown motel and not deserving of the Hyatt marquee. Plus they were rude to me and my wife when we were waiting for the glass repair people to come.
I'll take my business to other hotels and will get all my friends to do the same. Caveat emptor. Be careful if you stay here.
(I notice below that someone else had their car broken into - nice going management.)

Just as the other reviews have stated:
*Huge Room
*Clean
*Cheap
*Great Service
*Extremely Quiet (coming from me that is incredible)
For a mere $63.00 I have a great big clean sparkling fresh room on the top floor and I'm a happy woman. Many of the big hotel extras are gone from this chain; that's fine with me as I'm pretty self-serve anyway. Kiosks if you want to check yourself in. Order food in the galley on a touch screen and they'll call you when your food is ready. Just ordered a Chicken Caesar and it's yummy. The food is all freshly prepared.
The living room has a large, comfortable couch / ottoman; nice sized work area, too. Great 42" plasma tv. Very comfortable bed and reasonably soft linens (it is a hotel after all).
This place is in the southern part of Fremont that I refer to as no-man's-land but that's okay with me. Tomorrow I'll take a walk around the commercial area for my workout.
I'm just shocked at how great this place is. Really.

Wow...
After staying in what seems like every hotel in Silicon Valley, this place represents a real value, and offers amazing service with a personal touch.
Highs: low price, great rooms, 42" HDTV with every input available on a side panel, new rooms, nice gym next door, friendly staff...
Lows: in Fremont, so if you're driving to other parts of SV, prepare to sit in traffic. Also the rooms are just a little small, but nicer than the other hotels in this category, such as the Hilton Garden Inn (which does have the best beds). Also, the food pantry thing fails when compared to the one at the HGI. They should just copy it.
Even though I just joined the Hyatt Gold Passport program, I feel like a superstar every time I come here. I almost have the highest level of Hilton HHonors (5 days left), and I don't get any special treatment. Hyatt and Starwood (Sheraton, Westin, W, etc.) are so much better than Hilton for customer service, it's not even funny.
Worth the extra drive!

5-star room...!
3-star location...
A sweet suite and magical walls, I tell ya!
What used to be an AmeriSuites is now a Hyatt Place and the accommodations (whether they were there previously or are a part of a remodeling) are luxurious!
The room, which S got just for gits and shiggles as a bonus award from her Hyatt points, was spacious! Upon opening the heavy, sound-dampening door, you enter the living "room" (about 12' by 14'), which is immediately welcoming thanks to a HUGE couch/hide-away-bed (... my bed!), a large ottoman , a mini fridge, granite wet bar, and a desk.
Beyond this, you'll find the beds, another luxurious granite vanity, the closet and the restroom/shower. The two Hyatt Grand beds were very comfortable; though I am partial to firm beds, so this may or may not be to your liking.
In between the two areas, a monumental 42" flat-panel HDTV sits atop a swivel base to face into either room. Additionally, the entertainment center its perched on has a plethora of A/V connection options (... watch/make/star in a movie anyone?...)
And the walls? The walls must be made of some new miracle plaster to have kept all the noise we were making from ringing out through the halls. (You're all a bunch a perverts and that's why I like ya, but no, nothing like that... 8 of us got together and play'd hold'em and Outburst while finishing off a half-gallon of Stoli and a big'ol jug of sangria.) With all the hootin', hollerin', music and laughing, I was certain we'd get tossed out... but no. Thank goodness. At one point, S and I walked out into the lobby when she wanted to get some ice; with the door closed behind us, you couldn't hear a thing... magic I tell ya... magic.
This past weekend, the hotel was evidently still in remodeling and thus, the kitchen/dining room adjoined to the lobby was not quite ready for use, but it looks stunningly modern yet homely.
The only big minus? Unless you are in town for business, there is no real touristy draw to Fremont in general nor that business park in particular. If you're staying here from out of town, rent a car; there is little to nothing to do immediately in the area...

Visited the Bay Area for the weekend recently to attend a wedding. I was able to use Hyatt points to stay here for free for the two nights. However, this hotel was definitely worth the regular rate. The staff was extremely friendly, offering to give us a tour of the hotel when we checked in as well as giving us directions to the nearest In-N-Out Burger. Our room was spacious and featured a sitting area, desk, mini-fridge, and a rotatable 42" flat-screen tv. They offer free wi-fi, complimentary breakfast, and free apples throughout the day. The hotel is located right off the highway which made it very convenient for getting to and from. The only downside was the very small bathroom.

I'm usually a huge Hampton Inn fan (there's a Hampton Inn next door) because of the free breakfast, comfortable bed, free wifi and reasonable rate. You can imagine my initial dismay when my SO got a company reservation at Amerisuites. Ameri-what?? After wrinkling my nose, I thought, at least it's on the company...
Oh but I was wrong... This place is getting converted into a "Hyatt Place." I fully profess not to know what that means - I don't do a lot of business traveling these days so I looked it up.
Direct from the http://hyatt.com website:
"Hyatt Place, a new kind of Hyatt for today's relaxed lifestyle.
We are pleased to introduce Hyatt Place, a new kind of hotel that puts style, innovation and The Hyatt Touch within everyone's reach. Our guests will enjoy a spacious guestroom with a 42" flat-panel HDTV, our signature Hyatt Grand Bed(tm), a plush Cozy Corner oversized sofa-sleeper that is separated from the sleeping area, and complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi internet access throughout the hotel."
Okay! That's my speed. So the secret's out... The 42" flatscreen had me at hello. It swivels - not 360 degrees - but enough to watch tv in either the bedroom or sitting room. I wish there were more channels - no Bravo, Food Network, MTV, etc. but there is HBO and some of the local channels. The bed is comfy and yes yes yes, there is free wifi. I was so annoyed when traveling down south recently about being charged for wifi. Oh hell no! But hell yes to this Amerisuites/Hyatt Place.
Oh, btw, the breakfast is very decent. There's a make-your-own-waffle station, yogurt, fruit, granola, cereal, eggs, sausage patties, milk/juice/etc.

5 stars for the service, cleaniness, great rooms, bed was awesome, great customer service.
1 star for location.
My car got broken into while I was staying at this hotel. The hotel doesnt seem to have security. The location is pretty bad. The area doesnt have much lights at night. Everything was taken out from my car and management did not make an effort to make up for the loss either.
I would definitely stay here again because the service was great and i really like the rooms.

I've only stayed in this particular establishment once and I must say, not too shabby at all. The rooms are nice, spacious, and modern. The price we got for that weekend wasn't too bad either. I guess if you search hard enough, you're bound to find a deal at a decent hotel and this was that one hotel we ran into while doing exactly that. If you plan on opening some bottles of wine in the room, be sure to bring your own bottle opener or ask the front desk for one early on. Unfortunately, they only have a limited numbers that they lend out to their guests and of course, those guests never return them right away (if even that). So you might be out of luck if you're not prepared. Luckily they found one last one for us. I would've felt bad if some other room wanted to get their drink on but didn't have a bottle opener, so I returned it right after I popped mine open. The location of this hotel is great because it's right next to the freeway. Also, the rooms have nice, decent sized, flat screen tvs. If I'm staying in this area and I find a good deal here, I would definitely consider this hotel. It probably is in my top five for the hotels around this neck of the woods.
I was really impressed by this hotel. Then again I had LOW expectations. I thought our room was pretty nice, just as good if not better than the one in Santa Clara. And it was much cheaper! The breakfast leaves much to be desired, but at least they included a breakfast! Still, I think our room was a steal for what we paid.
If you are in the Fremont/San Jose area for business, or you have friends or family visiting, or you live in the area and just want to get away from home and relax, you have got to try this place!
Amerisuites is now affiliated with the Hyatt Hotel chains, and they are being converted into Hyatt Place hotels. This one's conversion is final in November. What does this mean? The Hyatt touch. Better decor and amenities. All of the rooms have been tastefully remodeled in netural earth tones, mahogany colored wood accents, and touches of leather. In other words, more quality textures than your average middle priced hotel suite. You get what amounts to a studio apartment, with wet bar, small frig, 42 inch plasma TV that swivels between the living room with its sectional couch and the bedroom with its queen or king bed with 5 pillows. You get a small desk, too, with a good lamp and adequate outlets for all your electronic gear. The bathroom is average in size. The vanity is outside in between the bathroom and closet, with a nice streaming faucet. There is a pool and free hot breakfast in the morning (eggs, waffles and continental breakfast usuals). It is located next to the Club Sport gym, so get a day pass for a full workout.
The best part? Right now it is only $69 for a king size bed suite! Are you kidding me? $62 with your AAA or AARP card. And that was on a holiday weekend! You can't get Motel 6 for that little in Silicon Valley! The closest freeway ramp (Warren) is closed, so this may be the reason for the cheap rates, or that they are remodeling, but the rooms are finished. There is also free Wi Fi in the common areas and free parking.
The comparable Hampton Inn Or Courtyard nearby are $139 or more a night, so this is an excellent value. But hurry, I suspect that once the remodelling is over and the freeway ramp opens, the price will double.

Nice decor. The entrance is elegant and stylish. The room is also very nice, with 42" flat screen tv and oversize couch. Working desk and mini fridge with a sink. The only drawback is the bathroom. It's very SMALL. There's no room between the door and the toilet seat, so close. Other than that, I think the place is awesome. We came here because our place is running out hot water....Nothing really in this area...no food yet..:(
