Since I had my towel card & room key still, I was able to check out the Sandpiper Pool & private beach at the Hutchinson Island Beach "Resort". The pool was plain and uninspiring and the tiki bar had clearly seen better days. The bartender was super nice and chatty, but the mojitos were made from a mix and the weren't serving any food because the kitchen is closed mid-week (which means the closest place to grab a bite to eat is the main hotel up the road).
The beach was small, but nice. It was clean and there were lots of pretty shells on the sand. The lounge chairs & umbrellas cost extra ($20 for 2 seats - $10 for one), but the girl working the beach area was very nice. Since it started to rain, she said she wouldn't charge for the chairs. However, compared to the beach at The Breakers, this was strictly low-rent. And there is no drink service while on the sand.

make sure if you stay here that you know you are dealing with liars. your hotel bill does NOT include parking and just as you check out you will find a bill for 71 dollars or more slipped under your door. perhaps they expect you to take your car up to the room in the elevator? in addition, if you order a glass of tomato juice at the pool and they are out of it they will charge you 6 or 7 dollars for something called a virgin mary. don't look for a free cup of coffee in the lobby either because there is none. ditto the oragne juice that used to be there. to make it simple, if you think you are staying at a luxury hotel, you're not. go elsewhere.
Great hotel and Resort in Stuart Florida. Excellent Staff great entertainment!!!
