I was here for a few hours in the tournie room. The floor managers were beyond nice and bent over backwards to get me accommodated.

Food was good and tasty- sweet potatoe fries Da BOMB. They were hot and I dug in too soon and gave out a meek lil "ouch" floor man asked me what was wrong- told him to hot- he quickly responded "would you like them cold? I can arrange for that" I started giggling at the sincerity behind his question.

I like the atmosphere of the place- feels more Vegas like and classy - like a real casino.

The players in the tournie area where tight and aggressive and pretty serious.
I'll be the hustler for their Thursday $7 k tournie another time. There were some friendlies there and it was refreshing to see so many good female players there out of the small amount of people in the tournament- they only had 4 or 5 table of tournie players- their blinds and antes are slow- so be ready for a LONG tournie

Oh yea players card gets you shorties at gift store- still have to find out with shorties are but makes since since I always see people with knick knacks at tournies at other casino. Really smart marketing by hustler actually.

It's not Las Vegas but it's probably the best Casino in LA county. The decor inside is marvelous! It's clean, professional looking and you feel welcomed. You see mostly poker tables but you have your fair share of blackjack, pai gow, etc.., The food and drinks are free if you play. Make sure to get the hot tea with honey and lemon. They make the dam thing pretty good!

What I don't like about the blackjack here is the $1 commission fee for every $100 bet. If you're like me and play $10-$25 bets, you're losing $1 every hand if you win or lose! Even the casinos up in Northern California are starting to eliminate that.

It not my home tone Vegas , but in Los Angeles is the best casino .
The place is very small but this is the best thing about that , you have a friendly filling when you get in the room , and the people there does not have any class vs other place in los Angeles that it have a crime feeling , this place is just ok for me , but I'll give itb4 star since I did nit see better then that in Los Angeles , if really want to go play poker I'll go to Vegas "....

Its the only real CASINO in LA all the other Joints are like bingo halls and most of the players are good so it helps improve ur own game when it comes to poker, the food is top notch and so are the dealers the day shift manager runs a tight ship so u never have a bad experience, they also have a high seed green chip bad beat jackpot that always starts at 40,000 dollars, and double jackpots for the blue chip games at 5-7p.m.

Fuck the DOJ for shutting down online poker in the US. Bunch of nazis! Now I have to drive to find action and play a game that if I were to live anywhere else in the world I can play from the convenience of my own home. Where's the logic, when I can drive five miles to play the fucking game that you just banned. Idiot.

Whatever, its clean, its decent...You can buy food and porn with your points. Way too many regulars. Evens out, I guess. Five stars for making sure I go out and get fresh air once a day, instead of being a degenerate home body.

I was at the Hustler Casino for the first time this afternoon to play some blackjack.  This is not "Vegas style" blackjack!  First, they charge you 50 cents per hand to play.  Odd!  There are several rules that I didn't really understand.  The game is called no bust blackjack.  Apparently if you bust on three cards and don't go over the dealer's busted hand, its a push.  Players are allowed to be banker which means they can step into the shoes of the house and take the risk and reward of the house.  I won a $50 bonus for hitting a 5 card 21.

All in all... I was confused by the rules!  They use a continuous shuffle machine (which I think are bad luck) and the dealer had incredibly strong cards.

Pros - nice building, a couple very attractive cocktail waitresses, friendly staff

Cons - commission to play each hand, people playing the table seemed to be gambling for the necessities of life rather than entertainment.

Overall, not a fun environment and I prefer to hang out with the grandparents at Harrah's in Rincon.

It's amazing how winning can change one's attitude. My skill really showed about a month ago. The guy to my left had 4 nines, anothger guy had a straight flush. That was a $36,000 jackpot due to my sitting where I was. My share was $1800. for being such a pro. I've mentioned before that the regulars here make for a tighter more professional game than on the strip. Still, most of the time therfe are fun playeres and civil feelings.

I've been coming to Hustler for many years now and have grown quite fond of it. Of course my heart will always belong to The Bike since that's my home turf, but Hustler is my 2nd home for the LA poker scene.

It's a small casino, most of the time you will have to wait for a poker game, but it's all good. This is the only casino that I've ever won any kind of jackpot, 10 of us got a choice between $3,000 in cash or try our luck at picking a key to start the Porsche Cayman S... we all picked the 3 grand in cash, it's a sure thing, of course we're taking the cash, you pick the wrong key and you walk away with nothing.

When they have promotions going on like this, they pick a table number, then they come over to that table and give the dealer a deck of cards from Ace through 9, the dealer scrambles the cards and then picks one, whoever is sitting in that seat number gets to go upstairs to Larry Flynt's conference room and decide if they want the cash or the car. Pretty sweet!

The poker tables are nice, only place I know that offers purple felt haha. All the tables have automatic card shufflers, the dealers are very professional. My gripe with this place is the chips are really dirty and the cards are kind of cheap, that's about it.

The tableside food is very good and inexpensive, use your players card to pay for the food, it's easy to rack up points, but make sure you use it within 6 months or they will erase your points. People playing poker might be a little ghetto, but you are in Gardena so what do you expect? Walking out to your car at 3am could be a bit sketchy, just watch your back at all times. Good luck!

The most unfriendly casino in los Angeles , played a couple tourneys there, went back played in a tourney, got stopped by security with an unsealed bottle of water, went back there the other day, as I was waiting for a flight arrival, got stopped with my iPad, not allowed, but iPhones are.
Driven a couple of times for tourneys only to find them cancelled, even though I phoned before I left home 36 miles away.
Played cash games there, while they were announcing a tourney, left a good cash game to play tourney, only to find it cancelled, but they wouldn't announce the cancellation of the tourney, this casino is for  the birds.

This review is for POKER only at the Hustler.

Hustler Casino is the best choice in the LA area for many reasons: good mix of different poker garmes (limit, no-limit, tournaments), friendy service/people, competent dealers, clean atmosphere, good comps, and decent food** (and cheap for seated players).

They have limit hold 'em from $2/4 to $25/50 (which is the juiciest game here).  No-limit games are $1/1 to $5/10, and tourneys are $50-$225 buy-ins held everyday of the week.

Playing poker for many years now, other LA casinos (Bicycle, Hollywood Park, Commerce, Hawaiian Gardens) don't even compare, save your trip to Vegas and play here.

**SHINSENGUMI, GARDENA BOWL, AZUMA, and EATALIAN are down the street if you're still hungry!

This is a weird casino. I played $1-3 No Limit Hold Em and the max buy in is $100!!! They only allow you to use $1 chips and if you win a lot you can only trade in for $100 chips. I have never played where they did not at least have $5 chips for a $1-2 game...

The rake is $5 no matter what and even if you chop a hand they take your $1 small blind regardless of what you do!!! That I thought was being greedy.

You have to buy your chips from a "chip runner' they will not give you anything at the table or cashier. The runners can be slow.

NO FREE ALCOHOL ON THE TABLES!!!!!!! WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pros: Nice feel and atmosphere. THE DRINK GIRLS WERE BEAUTIFUL EVEN ON A SUNDAY NIGHT!

I cannot wait to go back to Vegas or AC where the girls might be uglier but the booze is free, the max buy in is $300 and they have every denomination of chips available.

What can I say? Once again, I had good time.

Sure it's not a real casino, but I'm getting paid. Call it what you want -  skrilla,  duckets, cash, moolah, greenbacks, bills, dead presidents,  scratch, coin, change, paper, dinero...I gets all that...when I play here.

Oh, and to the hot Asian lady last night, you were playing blackjack and I noticed you long before I tapped in. You are beautiful!!!! Anyway, you suddenly puked right on the card table and the right arm of the player next to you. You ran to the restroom and your bet was still out there but we promptly returned it, taking you out of the hand. The gentleman you barfed on was grossed out, but not enough to back out of the hand. After all he did have $250 riding on it and it was a nice double down with my 6 up. He lost. We closed the game and I went home paid.

Hot Asian lady, I still couldn't help thinking about how beautiful you are, even after the digestive pyrotechnics episode. Call me.

    Dear Larry Flynt,

When I first went to your casino, I was looking for something a bit more risque.  You are the publisher of a well known erotic magazine and a pioneer of sorts.  I was hoping you would take some of that pioneer spirit and chutzpah and put it in this casino.

Dude, Larry, you let me down.  This casino sucks.  This place is nothing more than a oversized card room.

I was expecting hot chicks serving drinks and equally hot dealers.  Larry, this is LA.  You can find hot chicks anywhere in this city (and on Yelp for that matter) to work at your divey place.  That name of yours doesn't carry the same weight it used to, but you can still try to recapture that magic and bring a good product to the marketplace.

Some advice Mr. Flynt.....take a trip to Vegas, go to the Playboy Club and take some notes.

    Sincerely,

    Carlos

I've probably played poker here over 200 times over the past 7 years and have always had a pleasant experience even when taking the worst of beats for hours on end.  This review is based on poker play only as I have never tried the other games available.

Pros: Conveniently located within LA, plush, elegant interior, friendly, professional dealers and floor staff, decent food, decent comps, decent massage service, regular influx of new players with a wide range of experience levels, consistent game selection and availability.  Eye candy is above average compared to other L.A. casinos.  Security is very visible both inside and out so trekking out to the parking lot at 3am after a lucky session feels safer than other casinos.

Cons: Relatively high fixed rake.  A $5 rake plus $1 jackpot drop plus $1 tip (if you choose) is high for a pot that could have as little as $10 in it.  If the rake were lower or progressive like Vegas rooms, I'd rate this place 5 stars.

Sometimes I don't want to drive FOREVER to get my Blackjack fix. So, Hustler is a good alternative...

The first time I went I got a little freaked out at its location. When you get off the freeway and there's a sign for Compton... it just feels like you're in a rap video from 1990. But me being the crazy gambling addict I am, it doesn't phase me! I want to lose my money, dammit! Thankfully, the casino is just a quick right off the freeway and about block down. The parking lot freaked me out though. Like, a lot. Dark and scary... reaaalllyyyy sccarrrryyyy.

So did the clientele. It's a mixed bag. There are wannabe thugs sitting next to burned out addicts (like me... ya know...) sitting next to old asian guys next to druuuuunk frat boys and their drunker girlfriends. It is mostly men who go there, however, so the majority of my drinks were paid for. Thankyaverymuch.

Like other California casinos, they play a weird blackjack.. with weird rules and weird jackpot things...  I hate that dealer chip or whatever, I just... don't... get it... so it annoys me. AND you have to pay a dollar a hand on top of your bet just to play. argh.

They also have a small outdoor area with table games if you want to smoke and play at the same time.

I lost here. I get bitter about losing. Really bitter. Though, a lot of other people lost here too... so, it makes me a little freaked out about going back any time soon...  I get that "this casino is totally ripping me off" feeling.  That's not good for the gambling mojo.

I have no idea about the food... or any other part of the casino. It's small. I didn't get up from the Blackjack table except to go to the bathroom... I'm that hardcore.

At least it doesn't have the florescent lights like Commerce though... Thank GOD for that.

My cousin first took me to this casino 2 years ago for my first live game of Texas Holdem.  It was 2-4 limit game which was quite frustrating, but very fun.  I knew the basics but after a few hours I figured it out and was able to leave with some money in my pocket.  I have since graduated to playing no limit and more specifically enjoy the 100-300 dollar buyin game at Huster.

Hustler has a variety of Poker games running constantly with buy ins ranging as low as $20 all that way up to the big game where they play with $5000 chips.  Besides Poker Hustler offers a variety of other games which include Blackjack, Pai Gow, Three Card Poker, and a few others.  I primarily come here to play No Limit. Its a lively atmosphere with a friendly staff and really cute girls.  The dealers are very helpful and keep things in order when it starts to get a bit out of hand.

The food is awesome and there are daily specials on food and drinks throughout the day.  They also have daily no limit holdem tournaments with buyins ranging from $120-$220 dollars. If you're going to frequent this casino make sure to get a players card which tracks your playing time and rewards you with points that you can redeem for food or merchandise down the road.

All in all this is a great casino.  Its run very well and is as close to a Vegas casino as you're going to bet in CA.  Klimpt Reproductions adore the velvet walls, and everything from the carpet to the glass exudes a little bit of class.  The tables are well kept, the seats are comfortable, and on occasion you will can find Phil Ivey playing 7 card stud with the big boys.

I was given money to check this place out (free chips) and quickly lost it all and then some. Not to brag, but in Vegas I win. That wasn't going to happen here. First, I didn't really understand all the extra shit they added to the BJ game (I think the website might explain it), 2nd the California gambling fee is just dumb. No slots here :( and the place is kind of small.

There are 4 things that I hold dear to my heart: sushi, booze, gambling and men.  All in that order.

I've had Sushi and also food from the other small dining restaurant and they were all pretty good.  Casino food has to be somewhat decent since they hope to keep their players there instead of leave the premises.  Bathroom is immaculate and luxurious and it's nice there's a gift shop so you can pick out some nice gifts for the significant other you left waiting for you because you were hot!

Crowd is your typical gamblers.  Its located in Gardena, so you get the picture.  .

Hustler casino!?!  Is this the place where hustler "models" go at the twilight of their careers?!?!  The placards seem to suggest this but let me assure you the dealers are NOT ex-hustlettes.  I CHECKED.  BELIEVE ME.

This is a small casino with a restaurant upstairs.  The restaurant is basically the only place where you can eat (other than the snack bar, which serves sushi so bonus points for that).   The restaurant is perfect for that 6-10 dollar diner meal you need before spending the X amount of hours necessary to get a good card game going.

The people are also fun.  It's in gardena (so there are asians here, but there are always asians at casinos anyway, right) and it's near Compton and Inglewood, so there are a good amount of wanna-be hustlers and pimps out here.  Everyone's pretty talkative and friendly.  In particular, there were these couple of dudes who had a comment on everything - the lakers, the pats/chargers game, the australian open and most importantly, the size of serena's ass - and they would scream "COCKTAILS" every single time they saw a lady with booty (enough for it to be funny but not enough for it to be distracting).

I would not go out of my way to come here, especially since there are more fish to fry at commerce.

Hustler Casino is Larry Flynt's Casino that offer poker, blackjack, 3 card poker, you know, the usual California City Casino Games.
    No Slots
    No Craps,
No cool games you'll find at Vegas or even Indian Casinos.

What you will find at Hustler Casino is a fun gamnling atmosphere where you can get happy hour drinks from 4-7 pm or lose a couple dollars in the process.  Hustler Casino is a 24 hr. casino with 2 bars and an upstairs restaurant that opens in the evenings.  If you like sports this can be a cool place to catch a game or two also.  Warning do not spend to much here because you get charged everytime you bet a hand.

Good place to get cash.  Lots of loose players at the $3-$6 table and at the $50 No Limit.

Get a good hand and you could be walking away with about $400 in just a couple of hours play.

I bring about $50-$100 and play conservatively and win about $300-$500 in a couple of hours.  I play $3-$6, $4-$8 and No Limit, anything too high and you'll find the rich player are more loose that the poor and they don't care if they give you their money because they will win it back on a draw on the next hand.

It's been a while since I've been here, but I love it! It's not a bad place to play blackjack, but yes...I wish there were more blackjack tables!  It's a cool close place to also buy a HUSTLER SHIRT or some HUSTLER lengerie for your female over at their store inside of the casino.

Parking, customer service & security are not bad at all, plus this place is 24/7 hours.

The only thing that sucks is to me is that you get charged everytime you bet...but it's fun when you win!

Their restrooms are freakin awesome, clean & comfortable!

    FUNNY, BUT TRUE...

I can't really fault this place for being a California cardroom. It seems unfair to deduct stars because they don't have things that are illegal. Yeah, they don't have craps or roulette or slots, but you have whatever Puritans wrote up the gaming laws for Los Angeles to thank for that, not Larry Flynt.

What I like about the Hustler is that it is a Los Angeles cardroom that actually tries. The interior looks like a Las Vegas casino. Yes, it's a bit gauche, but that's all part of the fun, isn't it? Contrast this with the Commerce, which just packs as many poker tables into a banquet room as possible.

The floormen and dealers are friendly enough, and the clientele is--for the most part--easygoing. I suppose my only complaints would be that the rake is a bit high and it is often quite difficult to find a server and order food. They also don't give you any sort of guidance as to how their players cards work.

On the outside, this casino looks like a reject from a bad 70s porn movie.  And, well, the inside isn't much different.  But, thanks to a nice remodeling job done in the last couple of years, the schtiky porn feel you get when you walk in the door (velvet walls help out) quickly disapates.  It was a rather small casino when compared to the Bike or Commerce, but again, thanks to the remodeling, another poker room has been added.  The food is good, not excellent, but who's complaining when you're paying $2 for a seated players' special?

    TIPs:
If you go on Sunday afternoons, you might catch Larry's BIG GAME.  Pros like Ivey, Forrest, Brunson, Hellmuth, Xiang, Greenstein, etc., file in, obscene amount of money in hand, to play with Larry Flynt.  Its their own little version of a house game, except w/o the nickles & dimes.
Also, if you plan on frequenting the joint, sign up for a player's card.  You get mad food comps for every hour you play.

This is definitely one of the classiest casinos in LA.  It's got a Las Vegas poshness feel to it.  At least on the inside.  The outside is kind of bland unless you're driving into the valet lot.  You would expect a club associated with a skin rag would reflect that fact.  It doesn't.  I read an article about Larry Flint in CardPlayer magazine and he's always been a fan of poker and wanted a club.  So he put a lot of effort into making this a class act place.  He succeeded.

The only hint of the magazine is that the chips have head shots of hotties.  The decorations are very nice and it has high ceilings and a lot of space between tables so you'll never feel claustrophobic.  The tables are really nice.  The seem brand new as does the carpet.  Oddly the cards are generic, they don't have a HC logo on them or anything.

As far as driving there. Take Interstate 110 and get off at Redondo Beach Blvd, and go west (right if you were South bound, left if NB).  You'll see the casino as you approach Gardena city limits which is the RR tracks.  I would recommend turning left onto Vermont on the other side of the tracks, coming from I-110 it's hard to turn into the parking from Redondo Beach.

Parking.  I can't believe this parking lot doesn't fill up.  I went on a Sunday afternoon and it was 70% full, can't believe it doesn't fill up Fri/Sat night.

So I play low stakes Limit Hold'em so I can comment on the 2-4 games.  They had two tables going, but I think it was the lowest stakes LHE games.  I didn't see any 1-2.  One thing that really threw me for a loop, they only have one big blind, no small blind.  I've never heard of it before but apparently it's common in Vegas.  Unfortunately they have a higher rake than most LA card clubs.  $3 for the house and $1 for the Jackpot.

As far as No Limit goes they have $50 buy as they're low stakes.  That's the min and max, and it's got 1-2 blinds.  This place seems to cater to the high limit players.  I heard a lot of calling of players for the $3-6 Kill and high games.

I didn't realize how quick it was to get to from the free way, I might stop by more often now.  I just don't like the high house rake.  That extra dollar adds up fast.

Edit 08/17/07:  I just knocked off a star.  After going a second time I realized how crowded it gets when it's busy, and how few actual poker tables they have.  The majority of the floor space is taken up with no-bust blackjack and pai-gow tables.  Also, they don't have very many $2-4 LHE tables, so my wait is longer than at most places.

As for the casino itself, it is super plush and nice. The bathrooms are AWESOME and I always get to see some famous faces like Ben Affleck, and poker champs like Johnny Chan playing at the high roller table.  They also serve Sushi at the bar counter but I've yet to try it. Very nice and upscale casino even if it's in Gardena.  Don't expect skanky pple dealing you, it's a regular casino except very nice and some of the waitresses who go around selling drinks/food/etc wear Hustler apparel (tank tops/shorts attire)

The bf at the time was a big gambling addict and going to places like HG, Bike, Commerce were REALLY depressing and scary.  I wasn't depressed at Hustler whatsoever! So I like it!

If you like Hustler clothing, come here instead of the Hustler store.  Don't even think about going to NoFear because they no longer buy Hustler apparel to sell. BOO =(

I'd have to say 80% of my casual tops (wifebeaters, baby tees, thermals, off shoulder tops, jackets, etc.) are all Hustler apparel.  And as you know Hustler stuff ain't cheap!  There's a store inside the casino called Shorty's and on Saturdays, all Hustler logo apparel items are 20% off which is pretty good b/c Hustler is RARELY on sale.

Pretty fun for a poker house in Los Angeles. The cleanest and possibly classiest in the area. Great restaurant and facilities here. As for the games, standard table games. But I stuck with Limit Poker. I usually go in the late evenings and its usually busy at that time with up to 8 at a table. Time is money so the games go quickly. You're either in or you're out. There is no time to play mind games or even to psych out your opponents. The game is basically 'who has the best cards'.

The people there are what you expect in a room full of degenerates. It's the same as Hollywood Park or Santa Anita. Bunch of gamblers, some happy, and a lot of them bitter. One guy gave me a hard time because of the way I slow played him. But I think he was doing that because I twon his money that he was going to spend on meth.

I brought my girlfriend here once and she used her feminine charms to help me a lot of money from a lot of players one night. That night I took a fortune from some dude in the Black Eyed Peas. If you're a novice poker player, don't be intimidated by playing at these places because most people don't know what there doing there either. And bring a friend to make yourself feel more comfortable.

So I had a friend in town on business staying in Gardena. I like the action and haven't been to Vegas in a while, so I figured I'd whet my whistle a little bit while I waited for the flight.

The appearance is pleasant and professional, security's very visible and it's not far off the freeway.  But the action is pretty sour here.  First, the minimums are FAR too high, especially for a Wednesday afternoon.  $10 to play blackjack, $5 for 3 card poker or pai gow.  I played a little 3 card poker and they have mandatory bets on the bonus, so you basically have to give them a dollar as a rake on a table game, you only get something back on a bet above the minimum.  I put a dollar on the bonus and progressive, hit a straight and neither paid so yeah, the payouts are heavily stacked away.  Simply put, progressive jackpots are sucker bets.  They want you to bet the bonus and progressive so heavily that it just doesn't become worth it.  There was 1 $1 Pai Gow table, full up and nobody was budging.

Save your money for a trip to Fremont St. and play some games that don't have a gigantic house edge.

Its simply the best place to play poker in LA! Its cozy, safe, and convenient, food is great as well. Its not as crazy as Hollywood Park and not as crowded as Commerce. Staff is professional. The best time to come is Fri, Sat after 9! I love Hustler!

Nicest Casino in all of LA County.  Last time I was there I saw Larry Flynt complaining about the drapes in the tournament room.  I was going to say I loved you in that movie, but I figured security would beat me down hard.  They run the best regular nightly tournaments (Sunday - Thursday), with a minimum prize pool of $20,000.

I play in the tournaments about 4-5 times a months.  Jerry Buss plays alot in those tournaments with his entourage of rediculously hot 20-something girlfriends.  Must suck to be him.

Damn nice casino. Very, very stiff competition, however.

On a good night you'll see pros like Phil Ivey, Barry Greenstein, and others come in to play at the high rollers table.

But even at the lower stakes tables, the competition is stiff. I play in San Diego a lot and the competition here blows it away by leaps and bounds. More gambling addicts in LA I suppose.

My favorite card room in LA - nice clean elegant and good food and service.

Food quality fell a bit in 2008 when they got a new food service manager, but still better than any other LA casino. I'm still giving it five starts because it is the best of LA in terms of card rooms.

Competition can be fairly soft but less "action" players than you'll find at Commerce.

For the record, I only play poker, so I cannot comments on the BJ and casino style games.

I used to play here when poker was at it's peak and everybody thought they were poker stars. But I was never any good. Tonight after dinner the GF says she wanted to play cards. I thought maybe a home game or something, but then she says she wants to play 3 card poker. Okay let's go to Hustler.
Entering this place it looks very classy. The set up is really organized and easy to find the table your looking for.
Not being here for while I forgot about the house take. An extra dollar per bet. Being used to Vegas rules I hesitated. Finally it took a whole impatient table to help me understand.
Being a non smoking casino is nice. Being able to walk out not smelling like an ashtray.
The dealers are cool people too. They'll actually help you as much as they can. And a new thing I've never seen before is a banker sitting at every table helping the dealer pay out winnings.
A few differences from Vegas casinos, but that can be over looked. It's fun to play at Hustler. Next time you have some extra cash laying around, go play, have fun.

Definitely as good as it gets in CA, its not huge, it feels intimate, interiors are nice and its a lot better than Hollywood Park Casino.

The dealers are very friendly, people are nice and there are some good looking girls around. Best part its as close as you can get to LA, right next to the I-10.

The girls when I was there were very attractive and relatively friendly.  I enjoyed my short stay there.  I played mostly blackjack and paigow.  Just enough play to pass the time.

Casinos that are not generally indian reservations suck! The casinos in la charge you 1.00 dollar each time you play a hand in blackjack! Vegas is better to gamble, at least you can switch casinos quickly, and people have a. Little more class!
