We are semi-local and LOVE the food here and the prices make us come back again and again.  It doesn't hurt that they have the best happy hour in the area.

Our favorites are the grilled wings.  We love the buffalo flavor but the chipolte honey and honey mustard (tastes nothing like it sounds but great) are all wonderful.  Awesome oysters.    They have a good reduced price happy hour menu and $1 drafts of bud light and rolling rock making it a great deal as well.  I actually haven't had any food here that I didn't like.

They have indoor and outdoor seating by a pond. We usually sit outside.  The kids love the food, shelling peanuts  and decorating dollar bills to hang on the walls.  It's a casual atmosphere where we can kick back and just hang out for a while with friends.

For a time we ordered a lot of takeout.  A change in servers and management have made all the difference in the world!  Two months ago the rating would have been significantly lower because of the negative attitudes of the servers.  What a difference good service makes.  The new crew is all upbeat and happy and more than willing to work as a team.  We will likely start going every week again.

NFL Sunday Direct package if you're looking for an out of town game.

Oyster world tour is pretty interesting & the oysters are good & very fresh - sometimes shucked a little rough.

All other food I've ordered has just been ok.  Service is a little rough - seems like more than a couple of tables at once gives them fits.  Last visit we sat for at least 10 minutes before a server would even look at us or take drink orders, then food was also very slow (and eventually served cold).

Pretty good drink specials.  Nice sitting on the porch outside, but be aware that there's no shade from the sun in the afternoon and it can start to get pretty warm under those tables.

We walked over from Grayton Beach State Park. My husband and our friend each had a dozen oysters. My hubby said his were "good". But certainly didn't seem impressed with them.

I had the blue cheese & bacon burger. I thought it tasted really yummy. But then a few hours later it started fighting back. And you know when you are retasting your meal, that's not a good sign. . I had to take Pepto  Bizmol to get through the night and I'm still not feeling good. :(

Sorry I can't give it a better review but when you're not feeling good from something you ate, there's no high stars coming forming this reviewer!

I always make a trip here for the fish tacos when I'm in town. No they aren't the best in the world but hurricane is a good standby for good food and fun outdoor seating off the beaten path. That said - Busy summer days can see quite a wait and overworked waitstaff thus bring your patience hat and angry birds.

Came here immediately upon arrival in Florida for lunch and was greeted by a clearly busy but dismissive host/server who sat us at the bar. We ordered some of their house drinks, all of which were perfect (though maybe this was because we were giddy from finally being at the beach) and not light on the booze.

Sitting at the bar, I watched the two servers, bartender and busser roll eyes at each other, say comments under their breath and show every bit of frustration they had. Clearly there was a lack of communication between them, but more obviously, a lack of management. Everyone was young and no one seemed to respect each other.

We ordered the oyster world tour, the best of which were the Russian and the Japanese (served with seaweed and wasabi). The oysters were high quality, and for 12 oysters with varied toppings, the $10 price was great.

For lunch, I ordered the house-made black bean burger with jambalaya, which was generously portioned. The burger was crispy and tender, and paired well with avocado, a spicy sauce, spring greens and other fixins. My mom's grilled fish tacos had good taste, but were dry.

Ultimately, I didn't eat or drink anything I disliked. It's easy to be a scrooge about service, and I try to give employees the benefit of the doubt, but when the inner-employee conflict makes you feel like a burden as a customer, things have to change. Eye rolls, huffy breaths and no attempts to be friendly need to go.

I would still suggest going for the comfy food and cocktails, but perhaps have a cocktail or two before going.

Kind of off the beaten path in a little shopping village place in Grayton Beach on the other side of 30-A from the beach. Anywhoosiers, it's a wonderful place, they have the BEST beer prices in town, especially at happy hour which is from like 4-6? But they have great oysters as well and many different kinds. They have a dive'y beach bar feel which makes it all more inviting. Lunch is ideal there, and the porch is a wonderful place to sit at night or day. The fried shrimp is great as well.

Good, cheap raw oysters; great grilled fish tacos.

Oysters are $11 per dozen during dinner, and $7 per dozen during happy hour (3-6 pm). Happy hour also has dollar domestic drafts, $2 domestic bottlenecks.

I had two dozen oysters and a beer for an afternoon snack yesterday, for $20 with tip. By DC standards, that should have cost me double that at least.

Grilled fish taco for dinner was impressive. The corn tortilla was semi-firm, with cilantro and tangy sauce inside, and some grilled fresh white-meat fish. It was probably the best fish taco I've ever had, although to be fair, most fish tacos I've had have been terrible.

Hidden in a little plaza off of 30-A, I don't think a lot of tourists would see or stop here. Most of the other shops in the plaza were closed on Saturday or vacant.

Had dozen of steamed oysters. It was good except there were lots of shell pieces and we had to spit out at least 1-2 times for each oyster consumed.

Entree - Fish tacos. These were good. The sauce added a little spice and gave it a good kick. I definitely recommend this!

    Overpriced.
Oysters were loaded with bits of shells.
    Fries were cold.

    I've had better.

Food was delicious. If the service wasn't so horrendous, I would've given them a much better review. Rude doesn't even cut it. We couldn't manage to get two glasses of water or another beer. Waited nearly an hour for a check with no sign of our waitress (there was only one other table) before we left cash on the table. Not worth the aggravation.

Gem and jewel reoccur in these reviews, and rightly so.  Fast, friendly service.  Great oysters at a great price!  Many varieties of grilled, baked, and broiled oysters, try them all!  Drinks are tasty if a bit weak (I think most drinks these days are, is that bad?).  Shrimp tacos, hurricane debris nachos get good reviews from the girls.  My sandwich was only very good.

Food tasted ok but was cold due to inefficient waitress staff.  I ordered before other tables of two, but got my food last.  No one ever asked "how was everything"

great laid back and reasonable spot! We are losing places like this by the second around this area and it is refreshing to have such good food at good prices. If you like oysters don't miss this spot. They also have yummy fish tacos and I have heard great reviews of their fried oyster nachos. Good food at a good value!

Not too sure about this place when we arrived - in a little strip mall with no view of anything other than a little swamp and the road.
